Many of you have been asking for it, so here it is! 😃

Harry Potter Sign Ups and Discussion.
For those of you who don't know what that is. We are in a wizarding school of magic! This school is called Hogwarts! We welcome all young and old witches and wizards to come, here you can learn about the magic of the world. Are you a Slytherin, RavenClaw, Gryffindor, or a Hufflepuff?

Ping @pitch1226 or @niale for acceptance for your form(s).

Rules:
No cussing .
Keep it PG 13.
No god modding or Mary Sues.
Normal Egg cave rules.
Keep things realistic.
Be polite to other users.
No spamming for no reason
Keep discussions in the sign ups and roleplay replies in the RP thread.
Reply with at LEAST two or three sentences.
Side characters are ok, but you can't just let yourself use them, let others use them too and don't use them CONSTANTLY.
Crushes shall be allowed, but keep it appropriate and role play it out.

Past: Atticus lives with his sister Chloe and their parents. Even at a young age, Atticus always caused trouble, which resulted in his parents sending him to a boarding school. During his time away, he rarely saw Chloe, making their relationship stronger when he returned. Atticus has lived a pretty normal life. Nothing unusual has ever happened to him. He is pure blood, but doesn't really boast or take pride over it.
Kin: Chloe (sister)
Personality: protective over Chloe, usually friendly, sarcastic, opinionated, mischievous, smug, rebellious, acts confident and cool but shys around some girls
Looks: Light brown hair, freckles, blue eyes, tan
Clothing: when not wearing his usual robes, Atticus wears a grey sweatshirt, and jeans
Pet: Female Black barn owl with green eyes named Eclipse

Other: Because Atticus is protective of Chloe, he doesn't like her hanging out or talking to boys, he does like to involve her in all his schemes though and over all likes to have fun with Chloe

Atticus shook the whipped cream can. Chloe began to giggle and he quietly shushed her. She placed a hand over her mouth and Atticus smiled at her. They carefully walked up to their sleeping father. Atticus sprayed some of the whipped cream into their father's open hand. He signaled Chloe. She nodded and pulled out a feather. She tickled their father's nose. He itched his nose, using the hand with whipped cream in it, smearing the white foam like substance all over his face. The siblings began to laugh. Then they ran to their rooms, with their father yelling behind them.

Past: Chloe's rebellious attitude slightly faded when Atticus left, but quickly returned once he came back. Just like Atticus, Chloe's life is simple.

Looks: brown hair that is slightly hombre, has side bangs that get in her face a lot, tan, blue/green eyes,
Clothing: when not wearing her robes, Chloe wears black leggings, white tank top, jean jacket

Other: She cares about her brother more than she lets on, but it annoys the crap out of her when he is bossy toward her. Chloe does like to embarrass Atticus though.

"Hey what?"
"Can you stop being annoying by not acting so bossy towards me?"

Name: Zanna Maryam
Age: 14
(What year you are in)Year: 3
Gender: Female
Wand: Elder Wood with unicorn tail hair core. 12 and a quarter inches, sturdy and slightly springy.
House: Ravenclaw. Or Slytherin, depends on whether you want parselmouths in Slytherin or not.
Past: Zanna was raised by a mother and her mother's boyfriend. Her dad having died when Zanna was five. For the most part her life was normal. Until her mother discovered Zanna's dad was a wizard and Zanna received her Hogwarts letter.
Kin: Diana her mom.
Personality: Very motherly, but Zanna can come off as a bit harsh when first taking care if her friends. She is a bit sassy and can tend to put others before her. But she means well.
She is a bit pessimistic, but she tries to force optimism.
Looks: Zanna has raggedly cut black hair reaching her jaws and startling green eyes. She stands at five eleven.
Clothing: Typical witch robes. But when not wearing those she can wear pretty much anything ranging from jeans and a flannel to tank tops and shorts. She wears black dress shoes and tennis shoes.
Pet: A scruffy light brown tom cat lovingly dubbed Newt.
Code: Orange
Other: She's a parselmouth, if acceptable. Gets it from her dad.
Three Sentences Ex.:
Zanna sat on the bench outside her home. Her eyes scanning around her as she pulled a jacket closer over her body in the biting chill of early evening.

Her mom had left with Alec and they wouldn't be back until tomorrow morning. Zanna was left to care for herself.

But she wouldn't complain, this was something that happened often. And with them living in a decent sized city she would have endless entertainment watching the drama unfold on the news and with her neighbors.

A contented sigh graced her lips as she leaned back and watched the sun finally set. Dully she realized she should start packing. But for now she allowed herself to relax.

Past: Diana's mother left her and her father when Diana was just under a year old, so Diana grew up with her father. She was very tomboyish when she was young. As she got older, she became more interested in learning about the world as a opposed to climbing trees. When her Hogwarts letter came, she became very interested in learning about her mother's family. It is assumed that she was a witch, but Diana couldn't find anything about her.
Kin: Father Chris Harris.
Personality: Introverted and intelligent, but if you insult her, she has a sharp tongue and is extremely sarcastic. She doesn't trust easily, but if she trusts you, you've got a friend for life.
Looks: 5,8 with shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes. She is tan and lean.
Clothing: Usually jeans and a short sleeve shirt if she can, but she wears the robes at Hogwarts.
Pet: Tawny Barn owl named Athena.
Code: Yellow
Other: She has a really hard time making friends and still doesn't have any close ones.
Three Sentences Ex.: Diana sprawled out on the bed, dropping her shopping bags on the floor beside it. The girls she hung out with loved to go shopping and buy things, but she didn't get it. Why spend money on useless stuff?

Past: Heather lives with her parents and their 7 children. She often gets in trouble for messing around too much, but has her heart in the right place.

Personality: Heather is adventurous and smart like Hermione. She is caring, but will get revenge if someone insults her.

Looks: Long red hair. Greyish blue eyes,Freckles, and she is tall.

Other: she has a really easy time making friends!

@lailaluckyseal87 Me and pitch thought that we should have one parseltongue for now, and maybe another for the future. We both just want original characters that aren't too based off of Harry of related, although this may be changed later on. Sorry, but please change some of it! And also, if Harry is a half-blood, that means she isn't a Pureblood and Finny was also a half blood, that wouldn't be REALISTIC.

Name: Soliander "Sol" Pyrope
Age: 15
(What year you are in)Year: 4
Gender: Male
Wand: Rosewood with thestral tail hair core. 10 1/3" Inflexible.
House: Hufflepuff
Past: Raised by his parents in a muggle city, he was very shocked to discover he harbored magic. He was often a problem child, being too excitable for his own good, so as a result he rarely was left free to his own devices and was mostly watched closely by his mother. Even more so after he found out he was to attend Hogwarts.
Kin: His parents, and his cousin Jack.
Personality: He's excitable, bubbly and a little prone to accident. He is caring, friendly and generally very upbeat.
Looks: He stands at around five foot eight, he has messy, unkempt brown hair with almost ginger highlights to it. He has olive tinted skin, and hetero-chromatic eyes, with one being a deep blue and the other being a light blue.
Clothing: He wears a simple blue shirt with gray jeans and his Hogwarts robes. He adds in sneakers as well.
Pet: A black rat named Alby
Code: Lime Green.
Other: He's an excellent finder. He thinks he's a Mudblood cos his mum's a pureblood squib, exiled from her harsh family, and as a result never spoke of her family or their magical links. And his dad's a muggle. But he's technically a half-blood.
Three Sentences Ex.:
"Soliander, come on boy. It's almost time to get going." His father called from the hallway.

Sol shuffled out of his room rubbing his eyes as he headed downstairs to the main hall. He had been woken abruptly from a decent nap. Although now he was pushing the time to leave and catch his train.

"Come on then Sol. You don't have to be such a downer about this, you've gone to your magic school before. Don't let this time around drag you down." his mother said, wrapping her son in an embrace. She tousled his hair as she opened the door for him to carry his bags through, her fiery red hair catching the light and seeming to ignite.

"Come on son, let's get you to school."

Gender: Male
Wand: Alder, Kneazle whisker core. 9" and flexible.
House: Hufflepuff
Past: Jack was raised by a pureblood father and a half-blood mother. He grew up well used to the ways of the magic realm, and so he was very educated in how everything at Hogwarts was supposed to run when he got his letter.
Receiving hand-me-downs of the required books and tools he only needed a few items before he was ready to start his years.
Kin: His parents and cousin Sol.
Personality: He is a little reserved, more on edge about people than he should be. He's kind, but it can take a while to break his shell and get him to talk.
Looks: He is about five foot eleven with olive tinted skin. He has auburn hair and light blue eyes.
Clothing: He wears Hogwarts robes and when not wearing them he often wears a simple black shirt and pants with tennis shoes and a violet coat in winter.
Pet: A small and excitable barn owl named Thomas.
Code: Violet
Other: He's a half-blood by technicality. He doesn't exactly know his cousin is Sol, and Sol doesn't know he is Jack's cousin.
Three Sentences Ex.:
"Now, are you sure you don't need anything else?" his mother asked ruffling her son's hair.

"Yes mum, we've been over this. You have given me everything I need to last at Hogwarts until I leave." Jack said, darting away from his mother. "Are we good to be leaving now? I don't want to be late. And besides, I've heard that all first-years are gonna have to stand on the train if we don't get there early." he said, eyes wide at the last words.

"And who told you that?" asked his father, appearing in the doorway.

"Uncle Alec of course." Jack said, the fear all to real in his eyes.

Past: Her whole family(cousins, aunts, uncles,etc.) has died, the only ones that are alive is her mother, brother, and herself. Their dad? His whereabouts are unknown

Violen- Pureblood father whereabouts are unknown
Personality: Cunning, smart, quiet, and has different feelings on a lot of things. She dislikes attention seeking people. Is nice around those she can trust.
Looks: Hair changes color sometimes, the color that changes is black, navy blue, light blue, and a shiny silver. Her skin is pale, height is 5ft and her eyes are golden.
Clothing: Her usual robes, but when not wearing them she wears a pale blue gypsy shirt with some jeans and a blue and black tennis shoe.
Pet: Columbian Screech Owl named Wither.
Code: Navy Blue
Other: Has a brother, but he is in a different wizard and witch school right now.

Venus woke up to a day she didn't want to submit to. She yawned and stretched having a vivid vision, she plopped her hands to find her glasses.
"Hey, Aren," she mumbled. He came in to the call of his name. "Where are my glasses?" Aren chuckled.
"You're going to have to either find them, or go blind for the day!" Aren chuckled loudly running out.
"You're so mean!" She pouted getting her second pair of glasses. Venus searched endlessly until she found both of them.

Wand: Birch wood, 6 inches, Unicorn hair, inflexible.

House: Slytherin

Past: Raised by her mother (Who is a witch) Her father was muggle, but left her mother when he found out she was a witch. At the age of 6 she had a tramatic experience with her house almost burning down, leaving her with a fear of fire.

Kin: N/A

Personality: Iana is mostly a introvert and would must rather read than socialize. She has thin patience, but her temper cools down fast. She is intelligent, ambitious, and has high goals for her life. She absolutely hates when she's forced to do something and always likes to be in control.

Looks: She has a small and delicate build, her height about 4 foot 5. She has dark brown eyes and well defined cheekbones. Iana has plain, straight black hair.

Clothing: Standard robes.

Pet: A old snowy owl named Wilbur.

Code: Bright Green.

Other: Half-blood. IF animagi are allowed then she can shapeshift into a small black cat.

Three Sentences Ex:
"Be good at school, okay dear?" Iana's mother called from the other room, presumably the kitchen because of all the loud clangs of pots and pans at work.

Iana answered only with an annoyed hmpt, and stormed out of the doorway, dragging her ridiculously heavy suitcase along. Things had been pretty rocky ever since her mother told her the truth about her father being an digusting mudblood. What really irked Iana was the fact that her mother had lied all these years about them— her being a pureblood.

Past: Ophelia doesn't like to talk about her past. Her mum died at childbirth and her father is always too busy with work to look after her so he found a maid to take care of her. Unfortunately, by the time she was seven, the maid went missing and since then, Ophelia's been living alone.
Kin: N/A
Personality: She's a bit of a dark character but she's determined, proud, blunt and straightforward. She doesn't always think before she speaks and can sometimes be a little bit rude and sassy.
Looks: Long black hair, dark blue eyes with a little tint of purple to them, pale skin and is quite short for her age.
Clothing: Standard robes though she tends do go for dark colours when they have to dress differently.
Pet: White cat called Fog

Other: Pure blood.
Three Sentences Ex.:

Ophelia got ready for school, once again blaming her father for her constant worries. She loved him dearly but since this morning hadn't been the brightest of days, she was in a bad mood and blamed it on the one she saw rarely. She sighed as she looked in the mirror on her way out, pinning the last pin into her messy bun and forcing a smile onto her face before stepping out of the door and locking it.

Personality: Chill, reserved, neutral at times, takes the easy option, lazy, can be very annoying, persistent, stubborn and can be disruptive.
Looks: Messy black hair, blue-grey eyes and normal coloured skin, is tall.
Clothing: Standard robes.
Pet: Has a tabby cat named Tabbers.

When Tyler awoke in the morning, he was the last to be down for breakfast and also in the worst mood out of everyone. He ate his breakfast in silence, blocking out the other six people at the table and when he was finished, he silently stood up and went back to his room, not bothering to get ready for school as he didn't feel like it today.

Past: Charlie's parents had been staunch supporters of He-Who-Shall-Not-Be named, and were thus imprisoned after the war, where they later died. They had not been high society purebloods like the Malfoys, so did not have the means or connections to get out of jail. Thus, Charlie was passed off to muggle foster care where she was eventually adopted. Her adoptive Mother and Father were the best thing that ever happened to her and she grew up loved and wanted. Having been adopted as young as she was, Charlie had no knowledge of magic and thus, all three were incredibly surprised when she got her Hogwarts Letter.

Kin: Adoptive Mother: Alice Adoptive Father: Charles Brother: Ollie (Oliver)

Personality: Tomboyish, unfriendly (at first), prankster, but teachers find her to be a perfect student and a good example.

Looks: Long, straight, Auburn Hair; Brown Eyes; Tall, athletic build

Clothing: Charlie's favorite outfit is a pleated skirt with legging and a hoody/jacket. Hiking boots are her preferred footwear.

Pet: Calico Male Kneazle named Nimrod

Code: Lavender

Other: Because of the circumstances around her biological parent's death, Charlie has a deep-seated bias against purebloods, but will give them the benefit of the doubt if they prove themselves to her.

Three Sentences Ex.:
Charlie shushed the others as they hid around the corner. "Shh! They're going to hear us!" They had all woken up this morning to find their dorm had been 'vandalized' by common muggle streamers, courtesy of the Ravenclaw pranksters. In return they had decided to enchant one of the suits of armor to dump glitter all over the trio.

If at all possible, I'd like her to be one of the Slytherin House prefects.
