The year is 2029, the human race faces many difficult obstacles. Many challenges that now threaten advancement. That is where you come in. You have been created to help progress advancement.

Created and raised in a lab and sent out upon the world as you turned 17. DNA altered and manipulated to give you abilities normal humans can only imagine. But for these powers to grow something had to be taken, for a positive cannot be given without negatives to balance it out.

{Rules}

- No Sue's or God Modding
- No killing other characters, injury is fine death is not. This includes amongst your own characters.
- Have fun and be kind to others
- Max of one power per character
- Keep everything even, I will stop accepting characters if there is too far a sway to one direction
- Put your characters Chinese zodiac in other
- Shape changing, mind reading, invisibility, immortality, magic manipulation, time manipulation and manipulation of others are powers that are unallowed in this roleplay
- Be literate and try to post 3+ sentences per post
- Experiment Codes are a letter followed by five random numbers
- Weaknesses must counterbalance powers
- Weaknesses and the negatives are not the same thing
- Keep drama to a minimum and no unapproved plot changes
- Put your characters theme song in code if you have read and understood the rules

The RP may now begin. It is approximately 9:30 A.M in New York, where all the experiments are placed for easy observation. It is a cloudy day and rainy.

Zanna stood in the room of her small apartment. Running her hand through her hair as she judged how long it would take for her to reach the coffee shop closest to her living quarters. Much like the other experiments in the lab she was given money to live off of securing that they didn't need jobs. The labs wanted them to work towards improving their abilities in the outside world.

She sighed, just because they didn't need jobs didn't mean she couldn't find one. But it had been a rough year for her. So she settled for now for taking the labs money. She grabbed her coat, throwing it on as she left her apartment and went into the rain.



Maxwell stood in the elevator taking him down to view the younger experiments still contained below. They had stopped production of them 11 years prior after a secure number had been achieved and now only waited for the remaining to be able to be sent into the world. He paused as he passed one of the more unstable experiment's cubicles.

The poor experiment huddled on the ground, bright lines racing through his skin as the radiation he held inside flared up on him. Maxwell raised a single hand and focused on the boy's powers. Pulling them down to a safe level to work with.

They might have to scrap experiments still.

Nephthys pulled her cloak tightly around her. It was conveniently waterproof. And lucky for her few people were out since the weather. She walked past an apartment and spotted a girl. 19 or so by the looks of her. She concentrated on bottling up her emotions so that she didn't lash out and cause a blizzard... like last time...

"Hey get me out of here you old wackos!" Ja'far exclaimed, they shouted at the nothingness not knowing there was no scientists there. "How long do you have to make me stay here ha?" Lashing out they were hitting the walls and back up in pain. They stumbled and tripped, falling to the ground.

Effie looked outside her apartment unit, sighing at the dreadful weather.
Rain, she thought.
It was nothing but rain. She sighed, and decided to stay indoors. Rain was her weakness, and she disliked water.
"When will the rain end." Her dead voice echoed in the small room she was in, the electronics off to prevent anything from short-circuiting.
"I do not have anything to protect myself from the scalding water. Not for now, at least," she added, and continued looking at the window, examining the rain and feeling the cold from the window.

Lycia whimpers. "Rain.... why rain?" she shudders at the thought of it touching her. She got up and paced the room, she had nothing better to do anyways.

Ja'far turns over facing the voice's direction. They gave an perpetual face at the voice and crossing their arms.
"So what? You been here for probably longer than I have! What difference does it make eh?" Ja'far scowled at the person.

"I'm only 13." Alissa said. "How old are you?" she asked. "Anyways, I've been trying to figure out how to leave. We can use our power against them." she smiled. "I'm Alissa, what's your name?"

"They probably plan to keep us here forever," Ja'far muttered to themself. "I don't give anyone my personal name I've made for myself, so for now it can be A53423, if those old gits can remember it you can too."
They sighed and sat down thinking how could they escape. "By the way I'm younger than you and I can't see, so I won't be much use to help you get out. Although it's worth a try" they whispered to her.

"Don't worry," Alissa says. "I can help you get out, I'm colorblind, so everything looks blue, pink, red, and white." she looks around. "We should go soon while no one is here, by the way my power is ice and water manipulation, what's yours?"

Standing up with a hesitant reaction about escaping.
"Fine, but since I'm ice it won't help as much since it's similar to yours and if we get into situations that ice and water will not help at all," Ja'far sighed. "Then we're going to have a hard time."
@lailaluckyseal87 we should wait for the others now. If we continue we may wander off too much >.<

"I'm pretty handy with fist-fighting. They made a mistake by giving me that." Alissa says laughing. "They're really stupid aren't they. They should've made sure we didn't escape."

@niale We're not really messing with anything until we've escaped. That's why I left out my other character for now.

"The only thing we gave you was your powers. Training you to fight is a different story all together." Maxwell said as he paused in his walk through the lab. "Don't even see why you want to escape, you have everything you need. Just because your end up in these cells at the end of the day doesn't mean anything." He said, glancing over at the conspiring young children.

Zanna glanced over as she heard footsteps pass her. She grinned over at the girl before she hurried down the street. Puddles splashing under foot.

Alissa rolled her eyes. "I want to see the world." she said. "I want to go explore instead of being cooped up in the boring place."

Lycia sighed and pulled on a long sunhat. Not wanting to be cooped up inside she walks outside. She looks around and hums a bit to herself. She sees a girl hurry past her and a puddle splashes her. Lycia freaks out and jumps. Her hat falls off and she screams. "GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!" she screams whilst trying to get the water off her.

"Don't you think we would be bored of this place now?" Ja'far questioned him turning over to the new voice. "Why would we even need to be here for so long?" They gave no respect for the elder and sneered at them. "Cooped up in one place, no experience of the outside world!"

"You are here to help advance your powers. To help you build upon them and improve them. You are not in full control Ja'far. You harm yourself constantly. Here it is easier to help you control them before you harm someone." Maxwell explained, allowing their harsh insults to run away from him.

Zanna paused in her hurrying as a girl who was beside her started screaming and jumping. She flinched back from the harsh voice of the girl.

Are you OK? she signed, easily recognizing one of the other experiments from the lab.



Quill sat up in his seat before the TV in his and his brothers shared apartment. He glared over at Solliander as his brother fidgeted yet again in his sleep.

Running his hand through his hair, grinning as he viewed the rain falling outside.

She let a smile slip and glanced around. There was next to nothing to do here right now. She gazed back wondering if she ought to ask if she wanted to hang out or something. She absentmindedly tugged at the storm clouds allowing some sun to peak through. As soon as she saw the girl screaming she let more sun through.

"Who cares! Why can't you take us on a tour of the outside or SOMETHING?" Alissa says harshly. "You can't keep us cooped up in here and expect us to behave!"

Sighing, she tugged on the clouds creating a circle of light. The light reached down and hit Lycia. She had done every thing she could now. She concentrated at letting the clouds part.

Lycia felt the rain stop hitting her body. Standing there, shocked with fear, she listened to her heart pounding. Her hair was soaked and she took a deep breathe. "Help! Please!"

"You would do well to behave yourself. Most people don't take too kindly to being shouted at. Besides, you are here for your own good. If you were out there without the proper skill to control your powers you can hurt someone.". Maxwell explained, brushing down the sleeves of his jacket.

Zanna scowled as fire sprung up around the girl. She glared down at the ground around them before a faint pinkish glow flattened the flames down.

You know we're not supposed to use our powers so openly. she signed, pulling a faint white shield over the two of them. At least I can get mine to blend in with the surroundings.

Nephthys nodded slowly. She let the clouds cover the sky again, although no rain fell from them. She ran a hand through her hair.

Effie then sighed, hoping the rain would just go away for once. Any direct contact with rain will cause her to "short-circuit," whatever that meant.
Then she grabbed a hat from her bed, and put it on. Heading outside, she then goes out of her way to go into the rain.
She examined some people nearby, but decided to ignore them.
"What are they doing out in the rain." Effie muttered, and walked past them.

Effie looked at Lycia with a blank face as she greeted her.
"Hello. What are you doing in the rain. Are you not soaking wet?" One of her palms started crackling electricity from the rain hitting her hands. "Doesn't the rain hurt you?" She tilted her head, hoping for an answer.

Nephthys shivered slightly. There were more people than she could handle with guaranteed no accidents. Oh well, she'd have to tolerate this. She tugged her cloak a bit as if it could guarantee no problems.

Zanna nodded a bit as things seemed to relax. She smiled, waved and continued on her walk. Cautious to not kick up any more water on her way.

Maxwell sighed, fixing his gaze on the gray figure of Ja'far. "I am the back up plan for if you rebelled." He said simply. "Able to lower the power you contain until all you can produce is a simple frost barley enough to give a beetle chills."
