Kiro nodded, once again listening, this time to the shadows. His face paled visibly and he snapped back to the current world. 'The shadows told me that 10 villages were massacred, because of us. Corisque wants to find us.'

"The...creeps? It's haunted or something?" Erika asks curiously. The others seem somewhat friendlier, though Ignia still seems a little hostile. "And 10 dead villages? Because of us?! But...I just got here! And who's this Corisque anyways? Some sort of murderous sicko who likes to stalk people in his spare time?"

Ellie tugs on her jacket while they are talking about Corisque. "Why does Corisque want to find us?" She says trying not to seem weird. They know you are trying to find us. Ellie says in her mind to Corisque. You better hurry with whatever your plan is.

Erika shut up. But she still was questioning who this mysterious Corisque guy was. She had the feeling that if she questioned anyone though, they'd just change the subject. Sigh.

Corisque rubbed his hands together with glee. He knew where they are, what they are doing, and most of all: They FEARED him. He loved every minute of this.'Venom!' He barked. A creature shrouded in darkness shuffled foward. 'Arrange another raid! In the village directly in front of the path where those brats are going! Now!' The creature called Venom bowed deeply and turned to leave. Corisque laughed maniacally.

Ignia hacked through the dense fronds with her knife. 'Stupid tropical forest.' She muttered. She heard the commotion behind her. 'Erika.' She turned to the hyperactive child. 'I'll tell you who that guy is. Or rather, Kiro is going to.' She glanced at the raven-haired boy, who raised an eyebrow at her. Kiro shrugged. 'Whatever.' He smirked at Erika, 'Happy now?'

Erika upruptly stops. They think she's a child? Well then. She'll show them.

Continuing her walk towards Kiro and Ignia, she slows to a normal pace. "Yes, that would be excellant. I'm all ears." She beams broadly, imitating the smile she's seen her mom do so many times.

Her mom was the reason she acted so recklessly in the first place. Living with a woman who was like an automated dummy was hard, especially when they had no sense of fun except...puzzles and picnics. Erika had just wanted to add a little fun, so she'd climbed the house.

She fell. Her mom sent her to a mental institute. And she'd ran away.

Ignia told the others, 'We need to break away for a while. We'll catch up with you guys later.' She walked away without checking if Erika and Kiro was following her. Kiro had a weird feeling. He felt like he, or rather they, were being watched. He glanced up at the canopy. A bat flapped around. He glowered at it. 'Shoo! Scramble!' He snapped.

Erika turns around and smiles brightly at Alissa. "Kiro was just about to tell Corisque is, want to listen in? You look confused."

A small shadow passes overhead. Probably a bird or something. "Well, begin Kiro! Time's a-wasting!" She chides, sounding just like her mom. Ick.

Ignia's gaze followed Kiro's. A bat? What's it doing here? She grumbled to herself. Must be a spy. Doesn't matter anyways, we're just discussing its boss. Kiro began quietly. 'Corisque is a dark, shadowy and evil spirit. The recent raids on the villages are caused by him, I believe. He's looking for the children in the prophecy... People like Ignia.' The said girl glanced up at him with surprise before muttering, 'Come on. We should get back to the others before they get too far away.' Suddenly, a piercing shriek sounded.

Is anyone up to make one of your characters do the bold-faced action? I plan on making them see the destroyed village Corisque sent his minions to raid. 😊 Thanks

Ellie watches them and squeaks to sound like a normal bat. She squeaks and flies around, making sure she can at least hear them. Corisque they know you're looking for them. They are talking about you. She says directing her thoughts to Corisque.

Completely forgetting about Ellie and Corisque, she follows it.

Erika THINKS she hears someone calling for her "Here!" she says in a loud voice, then continues down the path. "Lalalalala..."

She follows it to its end. Or rather, she trips over an inconveniently placed rock and smacks into the ground. "Ow... That hurt!" Looking up, she immediately wishes she hadn't.

The words that go through her head? Blood. Death. So many bodies.

She screams as loud as she can, then throws a panic attack. Crying out of fear and worry for the people and animals, she tries to find someone who's still alive.

"ERIKA!" Ellie sceams when she hears her screaming and crying. "WHATS GOING ON!!!!" Ellie comes across the village and drops to her knees. She grabs her stomach and feels like she's going to puke. "Ohmygods" she said shaking. "So..many..bodies.." Corisque must have done this. she thought. I didn't expect it to be this gross though..

WHO WOULD'VE DONE THIS! Erika mentally berates herself, then screams it. "Who would've done this!!!" Running up to someone who appears like they're sleeping upside down, she flips them over to see if they're breathing.

Immediately guts spill everywhere. Erika screams louder and runs towards Ellie. "Help me! I'm in some sort of twisted nightmare! HELP ME!"
