Ellie nodded and layed down, curling in a ball before drifting into a world of horror and nightmare.

Alissa swung herself up the tree and hung upside down on a frozen branch. She glares at the others silently, her eyes changing with her hair. Her hair hung below her and looked as if it was melting.

Keesha tried twirled her blade, but realized she'd lost it. She gritted her teeth and replied Anna, 'Although nature is your element, working it will still sap your energy, especially if your soul was lost in the past.' She glanced at Alissa, who was hanging on a branch. She stifled a laugh. 'She's changing. We don't need to mind her.'

A thought suddenly crossed Alissa's mind while she was brave and halfway through changing. "I'm finding Corisque." She said climbing to the top of the tree to look around. "And I'm going to kill him."

Kiro shook his head, still weak from using all that magic. 'You can't do it on your own. You're not strong enough.'

Corisque ordered a guard to put Erika in a cell. He paced in front of it, muttering incoherently to himself. The girl may be of use. I'll kill her soon after. He thought, grinning wickedly.

Erika woke up from her nightmares in a cell. Peering warily through the bars, she sees a figure pacing. "E-Ellie? Where...where are we?" she stammers, looking around wildly. "Hey! Help! Get me out of here!"

This must be another nightmare... she tells herself. Rubbing her eyes, she pinches herself one, two, three times. Nothing. "Come on! Help me!" she cries at the person (or possibly thing) outside the bars on the door. "HELP!"

Corisque turned to her, grinning wider than ever. 'Your dear traitor of a friend isn't going to help you now.' He recomposed himself, no longer grinning. 'Listen carefully now. Do you want to live? If you do, I'll expect no trouble from you! Of course, unless you want to join me. I think your other friend Kiro has told you much about me.' He turned and walked up the long winding staircase.

Erika watches Corisque walk up the staircase. "So, you're Corisque. Huh." she murmurs, then remembers his words. your dear traitor of friend... ELLIE! Ellie must of brought her here. She unsuccessfully tries to stop the tears that well in her eyes. Her first and only friend was a spy all along.

"You're...you're..." she tries to work up the courage to call him a name, to be rebellious, but can't. The betrayal still stings, and she promises herself to never EVER be like Ellie. "I'll never join you." she whispers almost silently.

"I'll never be one of your puppets. Ellie might not have been strong enough, but I will. I'll never join you. EVER."

Ellie wakes up, her heart aching and longing for Erika. She finds Corisque and Erika. She ins into Erikas cell, hugging her. She bursts into tears. "Erika please join us!!! You can have everything you want!! If not...." Her voice cracks and she trails off. I'm sorry everyone... I don't want this but I can't leave now.. she thought knowing she would die if she left Corisque. She still wanted her dreams though.

Corisque made sure the curtains were drawn shut in his room and sent a message to the kids. He made an illusion appear in mid-air. Dark flames flickered around it. 'Hello everyone!' He boomed, enjoying himself as he saw the expression on their faces. 'As you should have realized now, your dear friend Ellie is my spy! Erika is currently at my mercy. If you want to save her, come find me!' Corisque laughed, 'I'll be waiting!' He left a hovering map in front of the kids.

Keesha stomped her foot angrily. 'Stupid girl! Running off because of some stupid nonexistent promise!' Kiro shook his head, faintly amused. 'The castle isn't too far away.' He murmured. 'Just past that mountain. It should be at the back.' He stretched. 'Come on! Time won't wait for us!'

Alissa jumps down from the tree right in front of Kiro. She began walking towards the castle and got bored, sending ice in front of her to carry her. Her features melted back to normal as she turned to the others. "Need a ride?" She asked.

Anna said, "What, we don't have backups or just in case healing potions." She grew some herbs and mixed it with the old ones quickly, making a greenish paste. "This will do for now." She said, putting the pasted in a small cup with a cap.

Celestia made her shoes turn into ice skates, and without a word she slid onto the ice gracefully. She kept a good pace to the castle.

Keesha shook her head, grinning. Dragon wings of fire spread out behind her. She took flight instantly towards the mountain. Kiro shook his head again, melting into his shadow for a faster travelling speed.

"Ellie..." Erika is at loss for words. She can't quite completely forgive Ellie, but she does see the risk it must of been for her to come down here. "I..."

"Were you really my friend?" is what she wants to say, but she's scared. What if the answer is a lie too?

"What did he tell you, to make you join?" she asks softly. "What did he say to make you help him? And...what did he threaten, to make sure you stay loyal?"

Ellie's sadness looks real. It sounds real. Erika's 99% sure it is real. But there's an inkling feeling that she might be putting on a act, so she doesn't completely go back to trusting her. "All right...I will. But I have one question..."

"Where you really my friend? And...what did you want? It must have been pretty meaningful to persuade you."

The sadness is rubbing off, she's on the brink of bursting into tears. Her eyes become red and her words fade to whispers. "You have to tell me—us—what you wished for. Please! Just tell me!"

Venom, Corisque's general, paused in front of the entrance of the staircase down to the cells. He was just going to check on Erika. He heard everything. His amber eyes glowed inside his hood. He tilted his head, thinking carefully. He did not have plans to report back to his master. Yet.

"I'm sorry..." Erika sniffs and rubs Ellie's back. "But...I don't think I could ever hurt them—the others—like that. I understand what's it's like not to be accepted. And to be hurt by people close to you."

"Not you...someone else. But yeah... sort of you as well." she hastily adds, trying to make Ellie feel better and failing. "But. I'm going to be strong. I can't give in! I'm going to prove everyone who ever made me feel down wrong." The though of her mother flashes through her mind.

"One person in particular, actually. My...my..."

"My MOTHER." she whispers so faint that she herself can only half-hear it. "I'm doing this...not for, but against...my MOTHER."

Kiro stared at the heavily guarded castle. He can't see them, but he could feel the presence of some underworld creatures. He swept his gaze around, locating a water channel just wide and tall enough for them to crawl through. He walked towards it against his better judgement.

Venom bowed his head, waiting for Corisque's response. Eyes flashing, Corisque murmured menacingly, 'So Ellie's regretting her decision to join me... Very well.' He flicked his hand casually. 'Make sure she doesn't try anything.' Venom bowed and exited the room. He pulled back his hood, sandy blond hair falling forward. He brushed his hand across the cell keys.

Erika waches Ellie leave, then hears a startled "Hello" emit. Oh no. She must have run into someone.

"Hello? Who's there?" she calls, making sure to sound as feeble as possible. If they think she's weak, maybe they won't hurt her...

"Here's to acting weak!" Erika mouths at Ellie, then crumples herself in a corner.

"E-Ellie?" she asks feebly. "Who...who's the other one? Please don't hurt me..." she whimpers softly, bringing up hurtful memories to help her with her act.

Her mom yelling at her. "I'm sorry!" she wails.

Falling off the roof. She makes her eyes big in fright and lts out a small scream.

Being sent to the metal institute. She starts to sob. "W-Why? W-W-Why m-me?!" She rasps out, half acting and half really crying.

Venom saw throught the act. He glanced at his keys, contemplating his next action. Corisque was cruel, and never showed a hint of mercy. But Venom was scared of him, like Ellie. He originally distasted the girl, thinking that she was a cowardly fool, but now knew that hile himself was no different.

Celestia used a magic bubble, protecting her from the slime. "This is really nasty," she said looking at the slime and ooze that covered the ground. She held Moon in her arms to protect her from the slime.

Celestia used her magic to teleport to the end. She knew that going in without the others was suicide. She waited for the others, scanning her surroundings. There seems to be a trapdoor going into the castle. She carefully lifted it up a little, peeking inside.
