The Paradise in the Sky (Roleplay Thread)

Paradise is a floating where heroes stay often, known by their dreams and accessible via the sky's direction, or so they've said. However, sometimes Paradise isn't anything like it was always. Now, the place where heroes take a break from their adventure turned into a fighting ground for evil and good.

It is currently 7:36 PM. Mostly cloudy. There are places in the island such as a training grounds for fighting, a bar, an inn, a bunch of merchants, as well as a stone pad to teleport back to the ground. In the center of the island is a tower made out of crystals and marble, with a bunch of Lotus Guardians watching for any suspicious activity. Below the island's earth is the crystal that keeps the island floating, which is above the tower. Anybody who wishes to enter must be accompanied with a Lotus Guardian.

Seika stood straight up, with her repeater on her hand. She examined the area for anybody who is trying to enter the tower without any permission. A small hornet flew beside her, also doing the same thing.

Rose walked near the crystal, examining the beauty.
"So that's the crystal that Aros turned into... I wonder if I can talk to them?" It felt like somebody was behind her, whispering voices, calling her name.
"Is that Aros?"

Tervis walked around the streets, trying to find the training grounds. His sword was on his back, just in case he was going to be ambushed.

Ton-Ev-Hecten jumps with short pauses at long distances to try to manevuer to the training grounds... it's believed - As Hecten heard - to polish their skills... Ton-Ev wasn't one of advanced elite slimes, so it was promising... He was though one of Slime mages, whose use advanced magic... Though, he said before his departure to Paradise, that he will do good, even if that means destroying everything he loved to save someone... But he stopped mind-saying when he seen somebody... or something...

Tervis grinned as he found the training grounds. He dashed after the entrance, finding a bunch of others of all species training and trying to be stronger.
"I wonder if anybody here would want to fight with me? I could use a little warm-up!"

Rose looked behind, and saw a misty figure of Aros. They had medium messy hair, a black cloak, and red shoes, from what she has seen. Then she noticed Aros with vampire wings behind their back.
"So you're Aros!" Rose exclaimed. "I didn't imagine you to look like this!"

Aros smiled. "But I am. You must be Rose, right? The descendant of Rosa. I can't believe somebody as great as her would have this hero enter the world!"

Seika then noticed somebody running towards the training ground. Confused to know what their goal was, she decided to follow, running along the ground, although it was slow for her.

Rose blushed. "Is that good or is that bad...?"

"What do you mean? You basically made it to Paradise, of course that would be good! But why are you here? Did you want to say hello?" Aros giggled, as they floated around Rose.

Ester walked into the training grounds she started to manipulate fire to see how strong she's gotten with fire. She bent the fire easily at her command, making it dance around her.

Seika then entered the training grounds, although it was night, she could see somebody use fire to light up the area.
"Interesting. Nice way of lighting up the area, it's usually dark at this time!" Behind Seika was a large spider, around the size of her head. It acted like a cat, wanting to get her attention.
"Huh?" She looked behind and picked the spider up. "I know you're hungry but I ran out of food yesterday. I also ran out of money because I spent them all on said food." She carefully placed the spider down on the floor, as it started to feel sad.
"Don't worry! I'll get enough money to give you the food you need!"

Rose nodded. "I thought it was a myth that you could talk to others!"

Aros giggled. "That's no myth. Only the truest of heroes can talk to me, you're in their ranks!"

Ton-Ev then seen, that something left. He jumps far rest of the part to training grounds and seen a lot of other non-slime species training their skills... The light relaxed him though...

Ester let the flame envelope her for a few minutes, then letting the flames disperse. She started to fly, letting the wind rush past her face. It felt really good, then she landed back on the ground looking at the others train.

Seika then approached Tervis with a smile.
"Guess I can go for a quick spar! I haven't seen any action for some time now!"

Tervis was surprised to see who approached him.
"Wait, you're Seika, leader of the Lotus Guardians at such a young age!"

Seika laughed. "I wouldn't say 18 is a young age, actually, but some guardians are a bit older than me!" She had a bunch of rings on her fingers, with a bunch of symbols on them. The green one glowed and summoned a slime humanoid the size of Seika's head.
"I've been nominated to be a Lotus Guardian two years ago, and got tested to see if I can be one! I've been the leader ever since the last one..." She then broke a sweat, and smiled, "well, died a horrible death."

Meanwhile Hecten trained his magic capabilities... He is mage after all... Well, a slime mage... But that changes nothing... Then he seen something fiery (Phoenix), ant two figures, probably talking... And third similar to his kind... "Wait... what this mean't?" Ton-Ev said in distorted english, that wouldn't even be understandable to anyone except slimes...

Seika then looked at the other slime figure making noise.
"Oh! This must be another slime, but this doesn't seem to be the ones under my command. I wonder if they're independent?"

Tervis looked at Seika. "You mean you rarely see wandering slimes around?"

"No. The only slimes I've seen are the ones that've agreed to become one to serve under me and be a guardian in slime form. Green slimes are easier to conjure, although ones found in the wild are rather weak."

Ton-Ev was confused, "What that means, that green slimes are rather weak?" He remembered, that they were one of minions of King Slime... Well, he was one of slimes, who learned magic... For that, he was independent, because he could resist other voices in his mind and could resist the evil... Though he could still talk with slimes... Hecten said to humanoid slime - "Maybe not all slimes are independent, but some are...

The slime humanoid was silent towards Hecten.

Tervis looked at the other slime, different than the humanoid one he saw.
"So, what do you mean agreed to serve?" He asked as he turned his attention towards Seika.

"That's easy," Seika replied, preparing for another long explanation. "Whenever somebody dies, they have the chance to live one more life and turn into a creature under my command or another Summoner, being protectors of me and Paradise. This little humanoid is one of them, but the spider isn't." She looked at her spider pet, as it dozes off. "People call us Summoners, and calls our little protectors 'minions,' but a minion isn't the word I'd use to describe my friends. You see, I grew bonds with them, have them fight with me instead of being in the sides."

Rose was confused. "I am? But I don't feel like it. I try to protect others and end up destroying things, and whenever I try to fix it, it got even worse. I was able to defeat a plant with a laser - although that was good and bad at the same time - I really shouldn't be talking to you..."
Rose then grew ice wings from her back, and ran away.
"I'm sorry, Aros."
As soon as Rose made it out of the core and outside the tower, her wings took off and she flew across Paradise, looking at its beauty at night. It felt like looking at a large modern town, buildings of different types around the huge island.
"I never knew Paradise was this beautiful..."

"Wait, so... slimes can reincarnate?" Hecten thought. But as he grew as a slime, he wouldn't stop till all informations are found... "And... If they reincarnate,what if one of summoners was before my kind?" Hecten was confused, possibly by more puzzle caused by Seika...

Seika started to giggle.
"Doesn't work like that. Deceased souls can reincarnate as various small but strong creatures to work under the Summoner's command, but they cannot reincarnate as the same creatures. I've noticed that some souls are actually heroic, and the numbers are starting to get bigger."
A few of Seika's rings began to glow, and a raven, eastern dragon, and one more slime humanoid appeared, but in a different form.
"Some of the guardians seem to be eager to help than when I started. When I started, they treated me lowly and won't do anything that I want them to do, and the slimes looked more like regular field slimes. I've been looking at the slimes and none of them resembled the legendary Rosa Ariso. I doubt she's still alive, perhaps she's with another Summoner."

Rose then noticed that her wings are starting to quickly vanish.
"Huh? My wings...!" She looked down and saw the training grounds and past it the ocean below. Rose's wings were about to give up, and if she doesn't land, she'll either end up flattened down like a pancake or sleeping with the fish.

Her wings then melted as she fell towards the ground. Rose can't make any more wings, and the only way she can stop her death if somebody saves her or if she saves herself.

Alissa walks around the training grounds. She looks up in the sky and sees Rose. She positioned herself to catch her. "Don't worry! I'll catch you!" she yells up to her.

"Wait... Some legendary slimes would be reincarnated, but they must have reached heroic deeds to do so?" Hecten asked, confused... Then he shown them that he isn't the ordinary slime by sniping the target board with slimed bolt....

Ester saw someone falling. She sped up her flying pace and started to dive, hoping she can catch her in time.

The clouds in the sky begin to go darker, and a dark aura begins to weaken any magic abilities and kinetic powers.

Seika smiled at Hecten's abilities.
"Looks like a rebel of King Slime. You're a bit powerful than your own kind. Anyways, you're a neat independent slime! I haven't seen slimes like that."
Suddenly, the minions then vanished from thin air.
"Huh? What the... Why did they suddenly disappear like that?"
Seika tried to summon more with her rings, but none of them seemed to glow.
"Huh? Why can't I re-summon them? Something's wrong..."
She grabbed her repeater from the side, and noticed it's working perfectly fine.
"My repeater's fine, but why can't I summon more?"

Rose then tried to focus her energy on making something to protect her, but the spells failed to create.
"Why's my magic off lately...?"
Rose then landed on Alissa's arms, relieved that her death is no longer.
"Hey... Thanks. I owe you one." She got off her arms and stood at the cobbled path.
"I could've tried to save myself, but my magic's not working anymore... Something seems to be wrong, and I seriously need to know why.

Tervis looked at the sky, seeing that it's a bit darker than usual.
"I know I haven't been here for a long time, but the skies aren't supposed to be like that..."

Suddenly, a Lotus Guardian ran towards Seika. She had dark red hair tied in a ponytail with matching goggles on top, a black shirt with a red jacket and dark blue jeans. She looked like a gunslinger with the guns on the side held on with a belt.
"The skies are darkening again! Everybody's magic powers have been weakened and some negated! We need you right now! Meet us at the square when you're ready."

Seika was surprised at the news, and replied as quickly as she could.
"How about I go there now?" She then looked at the group behind.
"Sorry, but I have to go there. It's my job. I'll spar with you later once this is past us both."
She then followed the gunslinger towards the town square, the area getting darker and darker as time passes.

"It's nothing." Alissa says smiling. Then she frowns at what she says. "Your powers aren't working?" she says narrowing her eyes. She tries to create a giant Ice circle around them but it has a bunch of holes and water in it. "Oh no.." she whimpers.

Seika then stood on a soap box, Lotus Guardians and other heroes gathering around.
"It looks like the evil has found this place, but we're not sure how. But I know for certain that we're going to have to fight back. I can't bear to see the island fall after what Aros and Rosa has done to make it fly for a thousand years. We must fight back, and protect the core. I'll need a few people to help me protect the core, but first, where's Rosa's descendant?"

Rose then ran towards town square, wondering what's going on.
"Town square's busy, there's probably an announcement."
She then ran towards Seika as she is calling her name.
"I'm here, but my magic's off! May I take it from here?"

Seika nodded, as she stepped back to let Rose take the lead.

Rose looked at everybody, and started to speak.
"So, we can't let the work that Rosa and Aros had done go to waste! We need to work together and fight back. Whoever wants to join me and Seika to protect the core, please come towards the front."

Tervis looked at the town square, sighing.
"It seems unusual that the sky has become dark. I can't use my magic, can you?" He said towards Hecten, awaiting a response.

(So I'm making a backstory for Seika on my personal forums for writing.)

Rose smiled.
"Alright, we can have two more people volunteer. Who wants to join?"

Suddenly, strange figures appeared around the town square, and proceeded to attack everybody in the square.

"Huh?! Where did all of these things come from...?" Seika got confused, and decided to grab her bow, and decided to shoot an arrow infused with a cursed fire.
"They're heading to the core! We need to go there now!"

Seika and Rose ran towards the tower, going downstairs until they reached the core where Aros's soul lies dormant in the crystal.
"Good... Nobody's here... If that crystal were to shatter, so will Aros, and the entire island will fall into the ocean below."

Hecten tries to use Slimy crystal storm, but also failed, because nothing casted was here "Looks like nobody has the magic right now..." Ton-Ev says... "I must resort to old techniques if I need to defeat evil..." He announced and gone with others if possible, tackling at nearby enemies...

Seika looked at Rose.
"Now, the problem is we can't use our magic, summon others, or use our kinetic powers. Even though a bow seems like a useless weapon in the age of the gunslingers, it'll have to do. Besides, I can face a gunslinger with nothing but a bow and arrow. Anyways," their direction pointed towards Aros, "if only Aros can help us..."

Rose then focused her energy into calling Aros.
Aros...? Are you there?

So you're back. I wonder what changed your mind?

This is an emergency. Evil creatures are invading Paradise.

That wasn't the first time it happened. Have you tried to build a ha-ha before I disappeared?

That will never work. What if they can fly? Just help us for this moment.

Fine, if it will make you stop talking for once. By the way, this won't prevent others from coming along, it just makes your powers work. Also tell the Lotus Guardian's leader that she can talk to me.

Thank you.

Suddenly, a barrier appeared around the core's room, making the spells start to work again.

Seika was surprised to see the barrier surrounding them, but at the same time glad.

"How did you do this?" Seika asked, as her guardians came back again. Her pet spider was on her head the entire time.

Rose blushed. "I had a little help from a crystal!"

"And indeed she did!" Aros's soul then appeared, transparent and ghostly.
"You're not going to be safe from the others, but at least you can fight back!"

"Wait, so... it was temporary?" Hesten asked in confusion again... He didn't suspect, that magic can stop, then start again... In age of magic, traditional techniques would fail...

Suddenly, a shadow figure approached the crystal. It had a baseball bat and it slowly approached the group.
"I'll handle this!" Rose said, preparing a magic spell from the palm of her hand.
Seika remembered what happened, and went in front, drawing her bow's string.
"No! It's the same creature from when I first met you! You're just going to get knocked down again! I can't let that happen to you again!"
Rose then argued back to Seika's remark. "That was two years ago! I was 14! While you've been tested to be a Lotus Guardian for two years, I've been training to defend myself as much as possible!"
While both were busy argued, the shadow figure then swung the bat, hitting Seika and Rose, rendering them unconscious.

"What?" Hecten says... "I think we'll need to fight body to body (slimish Arm to arm) against dangers..." Hecten said to group... Maybe he also worries about it? (Where's your Magic Knight?)

((I'm almost done with Seika's backstory I wrote for fun on a personal forum.))

Tevris then looked at Hecten.
"Let's go to the town square. It seems that most of the heroes went there." He grabbed his sword and ran towards the area, only to find that the place was infested with a lot of shadow figures.
"Are we too late...?" He shook the though out of his head and went closer to the tower. The doors were locked shut, save for a destroyed one.
"Looks like somebody, or something broke the door...!"
