Hello

Just joined, not overly sure what doing yet but popped eggs on yarolds which is hopefully good thing to do!

@lilacamy931 - Welcome to Egg Cave! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

If you are replying to someone, you should ping them. Otherwise, they won't know that you've done so. To ping someone, either click the bell icon under their username in the forums, or type an @ followed by their username (e.g. @sparklefox ). You can only ping up to five people per post.

Checking out the Forum Rules and the Site Guidelines would be an easy way to start. Other useful links are the FAQ and eCode.

A common mistake from newbies is that they'll ping and reply to people using their own wall. Pinging does not work out of forums and the blog, and to reply to people's comments you go to their wall instead.

I apologise if you knew any of the above information already.

And yes, that is a good thing to do. After all, is IS how they grow.

I do have a quick question I guess, I got a notification saying:

"Your 1 Star creature has received a daily stats boost of 8 for their respective evolution stat! "

How do I find out which one this is and does that make it special?

@lilacamy931 - Yes, you have pinged me correctly. Your Star Creature will be the creature in your Cove with a golden star on its image. It will usually be labeled as "Star [creature name]" instead of just "[creatute name]" on its profile, too. And yes, it does make it rather special. Star creatures are rare versions of a creature - they get daily boosts of whatever stat they evolve with (like you mentioned), and their happiness lowers much slower.
Hopefully an example will help you identify your Star Creature, and show you what I mean?

@sparklefox - Thank you for that and the example. How unusual I can't seem find anything like that on mine yet still get the notficiation. I've had it since the 29th apparently, maybe will look in a bit as might not be seeing right 😊

Apologies last couple of questions.

The meteor place where you can try once per day, is it exceedingly rare to win anything from that?

Also when selecting from the cave I take it, it is pure luck whatever you select to getting different eggs?

Not figured out the rest of the travel/food/toys yet but getting there

Yes, it's EXTREMELY rare to get a creature from the Mysterious Asteroid.

Yes, you could say it's luck, but you just have to guess 😊

You can buy travels, food, and toys from the stores and then go to your inventory. Click on the item you want, then select the creature you want to use it on. Sometimes it will give your creature a click, feed, or view boost (But only about 5.)
