do item stats effect evolution?

hi 😸 couldn't find any info on this in the faq!
if you earn a creature enough stats using items will it evolve? i thought my honk was supposed to hatch at 150 feeds, it's been over that since 8 pm yesterday bc of some bean sack items i used, but no notification and no updated creature page.
any insight appreciated! thank you!

I believe your honk has hatched!
And I'm also pretty sure that stats provided by items, as well as ones added by stars, contribute to evolution.
Perhaps egg cave is just being slow with the notifications. And to update the profile of a creature that's just reached the point at which it should evolve, try refreshing it.

@kas thanks a million! apparently i got the hatch notification at 2:58 am...only an hour after i posted 😋 next time i will be more patient
