My eyes glowed gold at the sight of her. I shivered involuntarily. I dipped my fingers in her blood, switched on the light, and licked my fingers, smiling. I took my knife out of my back pocket, and before she lost all her blood, I carved a lion's head into her chest through her shirt, delighted as the lines of my drawing seeped red blood. I draped her jacket over her bloody body, covering up the blood and gore of my pretty picture. I wasn't myself anymore. Sekhmet was mine now, or rather, I was hers. I remembered the first day that the lion headed goddess first spoke to me. The words are only mine to hear, but she had promised me something, something great that could never be matched. And so I had to kill.
