@thebrokenvibe @emeraldfirefly @valleries1 @lailaluckyseal87 @emilianagerson As Mothpaw sat in front of her mentor she began to wonder if since she didn't feel like she was doing any better in her training, even though she only started one moon ago, if she would ever be able to feel like part of the clan. As she pushed these thoughts out of her head she looked up at Mistycloud for today's instructions. "So, um...what will we do today?" Mothpaw asked as she stared into the pale blue eyes.

I turned and batted his ear, careful my claws where sheathed. {Whitefawn}I first chewed up some chervile root and put it on Mistykit's scratches. "This well help make sure it does not get infected." I meowed. I then covered it with some cobwebs. "That well help the herbs stay on and help make stop any bleeding." I meowed.{Bonepaw}I scented around for any other prey, finding it rather hard to catch a scent now. I walked a little ways till I caught the very faint scent of rabbit. I flexed my claws. I was the worst at catching rabbits, but I knew Viperfang would be watching, and if I missed the rabbit it would look bad. /I have to catch this rabbit!/ I thought.

~Ashkit~I was in the den when I went to push my limits. I sat outside, about 20 feet away from the den. I watched everyone and darted back in as someone came towards me.~Mistykit~I meowed. "Thank you." I said and then left. I went to the den when I saw Ashkit sitting there. I ignored him and went to the side of the den. There I layed down.~Ashkit.~ I saw Mistykit arrive. I was mad at her for getting me stuck in her. I padded over and put my paw on her tail. It was really funny as she tried to pull away and was mewing angrily.@emilianagerson @bramblepond @valleries1 @emeraldfirefly @thebrokenvibe

I sighed. I looked outside the den to see Waspclaw also sitting around, looking rather bored. I remembered while sorting out the herbs that the dock was running slightly low. / I better get some more of that before it gets away lower. / I padded out of my den. "Waspclaw," I meowed, "If you need something to do, you could go collect some dock for me. Its close to the rotting log at the north border."{Waspclaw}I pricked my ears and got to my paws, snapped out of my board daze. "Alright, Whitefawn." I meowed, then I padded out of the camp. I stopped for a moment to watch Lightfeather and Mosspaw battle train. The apprentice was doing well. I moved on toward the north border.

@emilianagerson @thebrokenvibe @lailaluckyseal87 @valleries1 @bramblepond Mistycloud tilted her head slightly considering. "Let's work on your hunting technique," she meowed. Mistycloud started out of the camp and looked behind her to see if Mothpaw was following.~~~Mosspaw felt Lightfeather manage to land a blow on his ear. It didn't really hurt though since her claws were sheathed. He swatted at Lightfeather's front leg and then darted back slightly.

@thebrokenvibe @emeraldfirefly @valleries1 @lailaluckyseal87 @emilianagersonAs Mothpaw followed Mistycloud, her eyes caught sight of Mosspaw training with his mentor, Lightfeather. Although only a moon older, Mosspaw had always seemed wise due to him being able to keep calm in tough situations. Mothpaw stared with respect at Mosspaw swatting back at Lightfeather's blows. Noticing that she had stopped she quickly continued paddling after Mistycloud to begin another day training.

She spotted the apprentice as rabbit scent drifted across on the breeze. Curious Viperfang watched Bonepaw carefully waiting to see what her apprentice would do.

I went to hit back and he darted back. /Smart/ I then jumped at him.{Waspclaw}After walking for a while, I found the herbs Whitefawn had been talking about. Carefully, I gathered some.{Bonepaw}I tensed my entire body as I crept foward, scenting and then seeing the rabbit. I hardly dared to breathe as I stalked toward it on paws lighter then feathers. Only my paws are big and heavy. Very much heavier then feathers. And one landed to roughly, making a soft noise, but it sounded like a thunderclap breaking through the silence to the rabbit, and it bounded off. I gave chase for a few moments, but I knew it was no use. I stayed chasing it though, wondering if Viperfang was in a position to be able to jump at it and kill it.

@emilianagerson @thebrokenvibe @lailaluckyseal87 @valleries1 @bramblepond Mistycloud stopped walking once she'd walked a bit into the forest. She turned to face Mothpaw. "Do you smell any prey?" she meowed. ~~~Mosspaw twisted out of the way, but Lightfeather managed to strike him slightly which knocked him off balance. Mosspaw stumbled and struggled to regain his balance.

She could see as he had disturbed it, but he had managed to start driving it towards her hiding spot. If she jumped out at the right time, it might send it towards Bonepaw.She waited until they got closer before she leapt out of the undergrowth scaring the rabbit.

I grabbed a hold of it and quickly snapped its neck.

Feeling satisfied with the kill, she looked to Mistycloud for approval.

Let's go over more on techniques for sneaking up on prey. Namely avoiding snapping twigs or crunching leaves."~~~Mosspaw nodded eagerly after getting to his feet. He was looking forward to learning more.

He then proceeded to beat them so that he rose into the air. He flew around a bit until they got tired and he had to land.~~~"Alright, so you clearly are adept at moving while crouching," Mistycloud meowed. She then gestured to the ground with her tail. "Although there isn't much leaves or bark here to cause a problem, there sometimes is. When there is it isn't wise to step on it," she began,"So we're going to see if you can pick a path across some bark and leaves... Although first we're going to have to find some." She started walking.

There were brittle pieces of bark as well as some twigs that poked up from the ground. "Alright, so I want you to make your way across the bark and twigs without making any or minimal noise. Remember some twigs poke up from the ground so you'll have to avoid them or come up slightly from your crouch to avoid breaking them."

"For now would you like something to eat?" she offered.Twinriver didn't eat as much as the rest of the Clan, something the previous Shaman deemed to be a result of her ability. Or at least they hoped. In truth Caveflower knew Twinriver would often leave prey for others more often than not.

The prey might run away if you move slowly, but you'll definitely make it run away if you snap a twig." Her expression softened slightly,"But don't worry practice makes perfect. Try again."

As she crouched down and began to work her way around the twigs and leaves - this time faster - she smelt a mouse and decided to take the opportunity to catch it. She went into a stalking position, sprang up, and bit into its neck killing it instantly.
