Rp Interest Check?

-> Due to the interested in the rp I'd like to add that this would be less like other rps on the site and more like a DnD/Pathfinder type game but without all of the rolling dice - everything your character will do will effect the island and you're going to need to be told how it effects it each turn. (Yes, given the nature of this kind of story I am considering a turn based style to it so nothing goes off the rails too far into mayhem which will mean it'll be sort of a slower rp game but no lesser than a normal rp you'd find)

I was digging through some things and found and old story I'd made a while ago for an rp/novel idea that never I never did anything with.

I was thinking that maybe people would be interested in making it into an RP with me?

Here's a bit about it:

This story is all about limited information. It's highly expected and almost mandatory in some situations for your characters to make mistakes, end up in life-threatening situations, and have to find their ways out of them despite not knowing what's around the corner. While some characters may know things that others don't.
It's about discovering and learning how to deal with the creatures found on a floating island in the middle of the sea all with only the clothes on your back, a pocket handbook filled with both official text and scribbles of what hopes to be a survivor, and whatever you can find in the Welcome Center.
Rather you want to escape, tame the beasts, help your fellow "employees" or abandon them, learn about the creatures, or even discover why they're here, is up to you. Any way you can think to survive is a valid option - rather that means hiding in the island's only building or trying to make your way as one of the monster's own is yours to decide.

The Setting: An 'island' in the middle of the Atlantic. Unlike other islands though it floats and has no connection to land, or even the ocean floor. It's beaches are sandy but not without large rocks dotting them. One side has the beginnings of mountains that taper off into flat open groves. Across from that is a large lake with both a shallow and a deep side to it and trees and small forests create a barrier between the beaches and inland. Past the flatlands however is a thick woods that's dark with canopy cover and the whole island is vaguely bean-shaped. The entire island is infested with creatures unlike you've ever seen and they don't seem to be friendly. (Drawing possibly coming soon if requested?)

@carter I know enough about RPs that you need people to assign to characters. What if there was a duet (or a band) of naturalists that encounter this island while scuba diving? And then a hermit partially insane and has learned to respect the beings and use them to his advantage...

Idk, but maybe. :|

As of right now in the rp I'd prefer if characters came more or less from the same vain. (The idea I was running with was that characters around the age to be getting jobs applied and were accepted for a Park Ranger type of job at a 'New Wildlife Reserve Island' which turns out to be what it is and not at all known wildlife reserve.)
I think it would be fun for the rp to be more based around what each individual character decides to do - how they handle situations and escape deadly encounters - rather than how they stumble across the island.

They've all got a rough sketch thus far (mind you I'm not very good at art) but In the end I hope to have many creatures on the island (more like it's own little ecosystem of weird) and I wouldn't ask you to draw all of that lol

I mean I guess I'd like for people to try to make a small paragraph at minimum (3 ish sentences) but I'm all for people doing more if they like. I just want to avoid one-line responses - you gotta give the person replying a little something to work with ^u^
