Looking for roleplay

Genres I like:
Medieval-Fantasy
Superheroes/villains
Animals (prefer not to do clan stuff, kinda tired of it)
Sci-Fi

I post around a paragraph or two and prefer to rp with others who post more than just a couple sentences.

I could come up with an idea if people like a certain genre or I could hop on something. Feel free to send me a message or reply to this thread so others can jump off of each other.

I'm tired. And hungry.

There are some Warrior cats RPs going on, you could always join in those...

I'm a person who's a big fan of fantasy of any type and sci-fi roleplays.
I often make around 2-4 paragraphs while roleplaying, and it's decently long, and I often go too far and make around 3000-5000 character posts, only because I have too much time on my hands.

This sounds embarrassing but I've never really RP-ed my whole life haha but recently a friend got me into it with her stories and posts and stuff o-o and she started showing me the basics and do's and don'ts of RP so I'd be happy to have someone RP with if y'all don't mind amateurs / inexperienced people haha.

@nightmaremoon12 That sounds fantastic! I don't have qualms about posts being that long because storytelling and world building is the best part haha.

Here are some ideas I'd like to throw out that you guys can vote on, add to, change up, whatever.

Sci-fi: (this is actually a branch of an actual story I'm writing, but maybe I can involve some of these into it if we go along with it) We're a team of people (or two rival teams) on a futuristic/run down/dystopian world that has a whole 'world' below the surface, unexplored. There are gaping holes and ravines leading into the dark depths of dangerous territory that we explore, fighting for the precious resources below. End goal is up for discussion.

Superheroes/villains: Tag team or vigilantes that sometimes group up to help stop/create crime. If anyone has actual powers, please keep it as a low key one, for example, experiencing time slightly faster, able to see patterns like crazy thus could code well or something, basic control of an element. I really appreciate ingenuity so that small powers can have huge impacts. It's totally cool if they don't have powers but have trained and worked hard to be good at whatever. Kinda like how batman and robin are freaking awesome but don't have powers. Whether the group works for good or bad is up to you guys.

Animals: Idk, maybe fantasy, made-up animals that are in a coliseum or races or something. I'm imaging some tropical rainforest-y world. I'm getting sleepy so my brain's not really at full capacity right now xD

Medieval-Fantasy: Friends of varying fantasy creatures and/or humanoids (ex: centaurs/fairies/elves, etc) find runic symbols in ancient temple and try to decipher them, leading them into loads of trouble but through the journey become well known (for good deeds or bad? again lol). End translation could be map or something, idk. Like I said, brain dead. xD

@loe_kee The fantasy one sounds like a good idea! As for the animal thing, I have the urge to play as a Japanese mythology creature, such as the Baku or Nue.

I think all of these roleplay ideas are something I'd enjoy, considering the fact that I have a lot of interests in RP genres.

I'm also entertaining the idea about rping as some creatures from eggcave itself, or as a human with a creature friend. Looking through the archives has done this to me lol. (Like Icenyro's are awesome. And being born with the elements switched would be a fun creature to rp http://eggcave.com/archives/view/icenyro)

@nightmaremoon12 Oh ya those would be fun! I'm so inlined towards the kitsune but for sake of originality I could play around and find others haha. Later I might start a sign-up to see if others would wanna join or we could just start a partner one.

@flowerlynx Sweet, those two are the ones I'm most in the mood for haha. Same as for nightmaremoon12, I'd be down for either starting a sign-up for a group rp or a partner one. Would you want to start both ideas or focus on one?

To everyone: How weird would it be to start up all four of these ideas? lol

Okay, well, I'll stick with two rps since nightmaremoon12 mentioned liking the other two ideas. I gotta go to school but later I'll figure stuff out. If people could post on which of the two they're more interested in or on if they wanna combine them, that'd be a huge help. I'm a super indecisive person, if you haven't noticed 😉

I noticed that... we could possibly combine them, forming it into just one main idea. It doesn't matter the topics, anything works.

In the desert world of dark days and darker nights, with the unmerciful dunes and hills, survival was hard enough. Then the cracks and fissures came, ripping apart the rocks and sand to leave gaping entrances to a new world below of pure darkness. Light barely pierces it and the expanses seem to swallow it whole. Some fear of what lies below but sometimes it is the silence that is the most terrifying.

Years of living with this new threat led to further research and solutions. Strings of bioluminescent lanterns mark out safe, explored paths but those only lead so far. Materials have been found in the depths that have bent society on wanting to extract them all in hopes of changing the upper world for the better.

For your whole life, the "Dark World" has existed and growing up you were trained to devote your life to exploring and mining resources. Not to mention, fighting off whatever lurks down there. Recently, science has introduced new creatures to the world to become your partners and aid your team in the exploration. As they went through the final stages of development, they acquired unpredictable powers which the scientists who've made them still struggle to explain. The slight advantage they pose over the Dark World will either aid you or hinder you in your path for greatness depending on how you use them.

That's a neat idea! The thought of an underground society sounds very new to me!

By the way, I just made a roleplay called Enigmisphere, which I revived. It's a mix of sci-fi and fantasy, with humanity living in giant cities surrounded with walls to prevent mythical creatures inside. Most of the humans living in the cities develop abilities such as psychic powers.
I'm not sure, though, because I just revived and rewrote a bit of it.

Animals you say? I'm learning Greek at school and we got a list of prefixes suffixes etc. There was a prefix called Zo meaning animal so why not Zo-humans it's a idea I just came up with not much thought.

So the original story idea of mine that this stemmed from is called Tales of the Descent (which, by the way, I'll be posting as a web comic soon. Will probably do a page a week so first posting's next week 😃) As this is a changed version of that I might make it a subcategory? Like "Tales of the Descent: Zotairi"
(tairi is match/companion in the oh-so-trustworthy google translate ;D)

@slyriolu My third post on this thread mentions the idea of it, it's the a sci-fi one. But the comic/story covers more of the lives of the people in the teams. This rp will be spending more time underground than the comic does.
