The Enigmisphere is a plane of existence that lies between the fabric of our own world. It's recently been discovered by humanity through boundary manipulation and wormholes, and now it has been accessible without those. The new plane is very odd, but it can become invisible when straying too far from an open rip in the plane.
Tired of mythical creatures, the humans decided to use this breakthrough in discovery to create their new cities, surrounded by walls for maximum protection. Because of this, heading further away from the cities makes it hard to see, and getting closer makes it hard to enter and leave.
No human is able to leave or enter, unless it's for very special occasions such as expeditions or rescues. Mythical creatures are banned, and capturing could leave to interrogation or memory wiping.
Because of the psychic influence that the Enigmisphere has, humans started gaining various powers and abilities, causing them to be less like us. More than 90% of Enigmispherans have abilities.
~~~
TL;DR - Sci-fi Fantasy had a child and called it Enigma. Humans are now hermits to the outside world.
~~~
You know the drill; rules, forms, all that crazy stuff!
~~~
No godmodding/powerplaying.
Read the RP and Eggcave Rules and follow them.
No mary/gary sues.
Don't ignore a person in a roleplay when they're interacting with you, unless a character has a reason not to.
Don't leave the RP out of the blue. That's rude.
Characters must have their weaknesses and flaws. Nobody is perfect.
Have a little diversity in your characters. We don't want everybody to be the shy and rebellious person.
I encourage you to have at least one and a half paragraph for worldbuilding and character development.
As a Literate Roleplay, I want to see decent grammar and one paragraph as a minimum. More if you really like to make people read.
If you have read and understood the rules, please put a quote from your character. The funnier ones are recommended.
My form(s)!
Name: Cymoline Vespon
Age: 27
Gender: Genderfluid
Species: Human
Appearance: Cymoline has an androgynous look. They have crimson eyes and messy cream hair. They stand at around 5"04 tall.
Clothing: They wear a navy blue jacket and white shirt, as well as dark jeans and black shoes.
Abilities/Weapons: Cymoline has a black pistol, as well as psychic abilities such as psychokinetics and telepathy, and changing their gravity.
Weaknesses/Flaws: They don't use their psychic powers that much, and telepathy has little to no use anyways. Cymo must be careful not to abuse their gravity control, or they could become a Cymoline Pancakeβ„’ if something goes wrong. They can easily black out during a fight, and that's through their psychic abilities giving them traumatic visions. Above all, they are a regular human in terms of strength, stamina, and agility.
Personality: They are the shy one, and can't help but be the bystander in situations. Cymoline is traumatized by their visions through dreaming and psychic abilities in combat, but tries to have an optimistic outlook on life. They are the snitch kind of person, but that's through their cowardly attitude, and doing the right thing. They are intelligent, and often helps the leaders of their city through testing new weapons and hunting intruders.
Other: A descendant of Tyline and Cyrus Vespon, both have been missing for some time. [Cymoline] knows that they're never returning.
Quote: It's pretty strange that you consider yourself a pessimist, when all the outcomes you expected were good. Guess you're able to see the future, huh?
@chicachicken Please be more specific in your weaknesses. What limits does her psychic powers have? Also, we need more information on personality.
@nightmaremoon12 Sounds fun! I'm a bit confused on how the whole thing works, but still wanna join πŸ˜‰
Questions: The cities are built in the Enigmishpere, right? And do the cities contain humans or the mythical creatures? Were the mythical creatures from the Enigmisphere or the real world? And by no one able to leave or enter, are there some humans designated to either side? Sorry if I am missing something obvious, I'm pretty dang tired haha.
Name: Ridley Mathden
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Appearance: 5' 7" with messy brown waves of hair that are indisputably ignored by Ridley. Slender but toned, decent looking face but is someone mostly overlooked.
Clothing: Wears some sort of short sleeve shirt with black wool jacket, jeans, and worn brogan boots.
Abilities/Weapons: Overly pattern-oriented and logical, brain can work problems with incredible pace. Has a couple of inventions on hand for weapons, such as a programmed boomerang and tiny robots that can detonate into small, focused explosions, smoke bombs, or cause high pitched noises. Robots can be killed easily though.
Weaknesses/Flaws: While still experiencing emotions and knowing of them, he cannot for Pete's Sake read others, pick up hints, or understand atmosphere. He always seems to say something offensive or insensitive without meaning to. Can't solve or understand anything that doesn't have much logic.
Personality: A bit of a clutz, Ridley is frequently rambling about numbers or equations, and unaware of surroundings. A well-meaning guy, he is caring and tries to help others. But he can come across as very rude due to weakness (look above).
Other: The Enigmisphere really doesn't help with his social skills....
@loe_kee The Enigmisphere keeps the humans inside walled cities, and the mythical creatures existed in the real world long before said plane existed.
Humans do exist outside the Enigmisphere, but their technology is less advanced than the one inside the city. Think of it as kind of like the distant future inside the city, and medieval times outside. The mythical creatures are the dominant of the outside world, and ruins of abandoned human towns dot the area.
The Enigmispheran humans leave during expeditions, but only a few amount can leave. Out of the many millions inside the city, at least a maximum of 10 exit yearly.
Accepted, either way.
@chicachicken Accepted.
@loe_kee No problemo! Should I wait for one more person, or can we start now?
Name: Lilith Arien
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Appearance: Slightly dark skinned, dark blue eyes and black hair and purple dyed at the tips. Around 5"04 and slightly skinny.
Clothing: A black beanie and a dark green tank top with black arm warmers and dark blue shorts. Also a black backpack to carry her stuff.
Weapons/Abilities: She carries two black hand cannons which transforms into twin swords. She also has electricity manipulation and electricity redirection.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Lilith is unable to use her hand cannons/swords when they're in mid-transformation, and her electric powers can rarely be used when there's no item to conduct it. She is also prone to accidents due to her awkward stances.
Personality: Reckless and funloving. She is very intelligent, as well as an apprentice for creating and fixing any firearm. She often looks up to older people as an inspiration, as well as comfort anybody who needs assistance.
Other: Cymoline and Lilith have a six year age gap. When she got older, Lilith developed a rivalry with Cymoline, often going to the point of asking to fight when she sees them. Despite that, both are close friends.
Quote: "When asked who should I punch, the answer will always be Cymoline."
Name: Willow Senarin
Age: Appears to be 19.
Gender: Female
Species: Robot, Human-Presenting
Appearance: to be added
Clothing:
Weapons/Abilities: Manipulation of electricity and wields a metal staff. She has the ability to create energy fields and orbs. Willow also has gauntlets which allows her to access a control panel in front of her to control a drone.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Electricity is useless without any conductors such as metals and water. Energy attacks drain out a bit of the surrounding nature to create, and a bit of Willow's own energy.
Personality: Willow is violent towards strangers, but she's known to be very friendly to others. When agitated, she will insult her target by talking about the flaws they have and actions they did. As a robot, she has a lot of intelligence and violet behavior, but retains humanity.
Other: Willow has little to no memory of her human self, and yet she yearns to remember.
@nightmaremoon12 Those are great! I'd say go ahead for starting but I still wanna welcome any newcomers πŸ˜‰
Oh and I forgot to give Ridley a weapon, is it cool if he just doesn't do any fighting, really? I just imagine him pretty useless when it comes to physical confrontation lol. He'll be hiding behind all the girls instead πŸ˜‰ Or, if this society is a dangerous one I'll edit it to give him contraptions he's invented or something.
@loe_kee This society sure isn't a utopia you can waltz around and be safe, hee hee. I won't mind if you decided to add in a weapon.
I mean, if I do start the roleplay, then it's still open for more characters. I'll add in one two more and I can start roleplaying.
Name: Minerva Hayes
Age: 23
Species: Human
Appearance: She is fairskinned, and stands to be around 5"06. Minerva has dark brown eyes and short brown hair in a pixie cut style.
Clothing: Minerva wears a gray shirt and a white lab coat and black pants. She has black glasses and gauntlets on her hands.
Weapons/Abilities: She doesn't have any supernatural abilities, but her gauntlet auguments her abilities and gives her a control panel to summon and create energy spheres behind her to attack enemies.
Weaknesses: As a human, Minerva is very fragile. She doesn't have any powerful physical attacks, and relies only on her technology and gadgets to do the fighting for her.
Personality: Minerva was influenced by Willow years before her death and decided to join her in creating technology in combat. She is gentle and usually passive, but sometimes inquisitive yet intelligent. She doesn't rely on fighting physically, as she considers it to be a pain.
Other: Cryogenically frozen years before the Enigmisphere was built.
Name: Carin
Age: Around 400
Gender: Agender
Species: Baku
Appearance: Carin has short navy blue hair and the ears of a tapir as replacement for human ears. They have pale skin and eyes with yellow sclera and sky blue pupils. They also yield a small tail. Carin's arms and legs gradually become a tapir as well.
Clothing: Blue shirt and black baggy jeans. Nothing really special.
Abilities/Weapons: Carin has the ability to eat the dreams of others while they are sleeping, and its their only food source. They also use dreams as the source for their magical powers. Carin can also enter one's dreams and taunt them in it. They also have the ability of floating.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Carin runs of dreams, so if nobody sleeps, then Carin will eventually starve. They can't easily take dreams of others, and it requires being extra sneaky. In a dream, Carin is weak to a dreamcatcher, and forces them to leave the dream.
Personality: Carin is a glutton, and enjoys taking the dreams of others as their food. They don't care about what the person is dreaming, just as long as they get a meal from dreams.
Other: Carin often times visits the Enigmisphere due to the amounts of people and sleep there is. Because of this, Carin has grown accustomed to the city and tries themselves hidden.
