SpruceClan and The Serpentine {RP Thread}

in Roleplaying

Should the low member numbers in the Clan and Group be fixed via adding in a form to create background characters?

I stalked silently behind the apprentice, making sure that she was acutaly leaving. I made sure to stay downwind of her. I didn't want her to catch my scent, but if she did, I was ready to fight if she wanted to make something of it.

Wishpaw knew that the cat would follow me, even if I couldn't smell it. :"You invited me," I called in a loud voice. Climbing a tree, I began to tear of the bark. Then I broke a branch, climbing higher than jumping to another and doing the same thing. Soon, the area of trees were at my mercy.

Joypaw
"I think," I said. "I know she might be a bit hurt though." I was thinking about Wall, he was vicious, that's for sure.

{Wall}
I snarled and a small grin spread onto my face. This small apprentice was now all alone, and just as the trees were at her mercy, she would be at my mercy soon. I leaped up and climbed through the trees with ease as I knew every inch of my territory well. I locked my jaws around the apprentices tail and flung her from where she had been, and for fun I climbed higher and higher, and at the very top of the tree, I bit hard into her tail and dangled her off the edge of the tree, and then, I started shaking my head back of forth, back of forth, getting faster and faster, shaking the apprentice around like crazy. I let opened my jaws, letting the apprentice fly down toward the ground, I started to hurry down incase the apprentice was up for more, that is, if they hadnt died or at least been knocked out.

I was dizzy but prepared to fall. I leaped gracefully on my paws and disappeared again, this time into the shadows. I leaped with ease as I continued to break away trees, disappearing every so often to hide me. This time I opted to hide my scent.

@doyoueverwonder(I apologize. Pinging everyone is my default. I'll stick to pinging you when interacting.)

Y'all can stop pinging Wonder outside of direct interactions now. She's subscribed to the thread.

Ravenpaw wormed her way out of the back of the medicine den, a few cobwebs clinging to her paws. She hobbled towards Eagleclaw, holding the paw with the most cobwebs on it off the ground.

"What is it Eagleclaw?" she asked her mentor.

~~~~~
@iiroleplayii
Smokepaw rolled away from Waspclaw as the tom leapt at him. Before Waspclaw could land, Smokepaw reared up on his hind paws, swiping at Waspclaw's hind legs. After a few soft pawed blows Smokepaw leapt back, dropping into a crouch low to the ground.
~~~~~

@iris1929578

Deathlight glanced over as Jadestone entered the camp. She hurried over to the she-cat, noting the scent of blood that followed in with her.

"Are you alright?" she asked, glancing towards the medicine den and making out Ravenpaw and Eagleclaw's forms. If Jadestone was injured she'd be well on her way to being healed.

~~~~~
@panda9983
Cobra watched as Wall brought a Clan apprentice into the camp before letting her go. He hurried after Wall as the tom left the camp once again.
He arrived in time to see Wall dropping said apprentice out of a tree. Mortified Cobra hurried after her as she vanished into the territory.
~~~~~

"I was sent to spy of SpruceClan by the Serpentine." Pathwalker stated, hardly flinching as the cat before her moved closer. "But I figured offering you information would be better than risking my neck for cats who captured me and forced me to work with them." she added. Noting the sudden change in the she-cat's face.

"Why would you betray them? The Serpentine is infamous for killing rats. In both senses of the word."

"As I said, they forced me to work with them. And I originally came here for the Clans. I had heard stories of them from my father before he was killed. I want to help as much as I can to get rid of the Serpentine."

The she-cat considered Pathwalker for a moment before nodding. "Stay put. I'm going to fetch out leader."

Pathwalker nodded, sitting down and watching as the she-cat hurried off into the trees. Although not that far into the trees, Pathwalker noted before she watched the she-cat vanish.

~~~~~
@emeraldstar
Flarestar nodded. "Take her to the nursery. Quicksilver may not be carrying kits, but she certainly knows how to care for them. I'm sure she'll help to get this kit fed."
I snarled as I watched the apprentice get away and saw Cobra chasing after her. I smiled with glee. This apprentice would have no chance all alone fighting off two serpentine cats. I leaped down and started chasing, catching up with Corba and keeping pace with him chasing the apprentice. I loved the rush.
{Waspclaw}
I landed not so perfectly, just saving my self from falling. Smokepaw was getting better. I turned around quickly and batted lightly at his ears, careful my claws were still unexposed.
Jadestone: "I'm fine," I muttered, even though it hurt like fury. "But you're right. I'll get checked."
Cloudspots: the stench of blood was strong. What the StarClan happened? I thought. I wanted to go hunting. The urge to go hunting. So I walked out of camp.
Yay! That pinging has been driving me crazy!
Eagleclaw
"I was going out to collect herbs. We have so little of them in our stocks. Would you like to come?" he asked. "We're scarce on catmint and horsetail." Eagleclaw added. He pushed the herbs he'd already collected into their stores, and waited by the entrance of the den.
I saw two Serpentines coming at me. Running with some grace, I disappeared into the shadows of the tree. I no longer felt any pain, just the energy to keep going. It was fun, even if I was slowly tiring, I kept going from my determination.
I was starting to tire, the apprentice was a bit faster pawed as they were smaller and lighter, but my pride kept me going, I breathed heavy, I had been running a lot this morning. I took a large leap and was able to pin her down by her tail. I used this advantage to quickly get a better grip on her and pin her down, one paw on her neck. I didn't wanna kill her though, I wanted her to go back to her clan and be an example of what happens to cats who mess with the serpentine. I sliced down her left eye and pawed dirt from under the snow into the wound, hoping it would make a nasty infection.
Cobra halted beside Wall. "Keep her contained. I want to hear the story behind the torn squirrel and why she was clinging to you for her own life." he said, while resting a paw on the apprentices shoulder, digging in with his claws to keep her from moving.
~~~~~

Smokepaw reared backwards, as Waspclaw battered his ears. He wrapped his tail around his legs to maintain balance as he jumped towards Waspclaw's back. Aiming to wrap his paws around his mentor and hopefully pull him down.

Since Smokepaw had come at me from an awkward angle, I was able to slip out of his grasp and he fell to the ground with nothing under him. I was able to then turn and pin him. I made note that I would have to talk to him about that mistake once the spar was over.

{Wall}
I nodded in respect to Cobra, "Of course." I then sat ontop of the apprentice with my full weight, making sure my claws and paws still pinned them down. "If you want, I can tell you my side of the story right now." I meowed.

"So after Foxheart woke us followers up, I went out to do some hunting. While I was hunting, I saw a squirrel run right to Soul and she killed it, but then, some clan apprentice, not this one, came and said that is was their squirrel, even though they were on our territory and had not even killed it. However, Soul, that flea-brained she-cat, just gave the clan cat the prey. So of course, I chased after the apprentice, I wasnt going to let them take serpentine prey, not in the cold season! I caught up to the apprentice in clan territory, by this time they were around other clan cats, but I wasn't going to back out. I shoved and clawed and I ran off with the squirrel, although the apprentice tore off half of it. I didn't want to risk losing the entire squirrel by turning back to get the other half, we got the bigger half though. I had clawed Soul and called her a traitor, and she is! She these claw marks on my side? Those are from Soul. Defending clan cats! Trying to give Clan Cats serpentine prey! Picking clan cats over her own group!" I had to take a breath to calm myself from the rage, "And while I was getting away, this one here latched onto my back. I didn't have time to shake her off, so I ran to camp, dropped off the squirrel, and you've seen whats gone on from their."

"If what you say is true then we will have to have a talk with Soul when she returns. I'll make sure that we get both sides of the story. Until then, bring this apprentice back to camp. From there we can hold her until Soul returns. Have Hazel help you watch her." Cobra ordered, standing up. "I'll help you make sure she gets there with no issues."

I nodded. I grabbed the apprentices scruff roughly in my jaws, most likely breaking into some skin, and I drag them along the snowy ground toward camp, a small trail of blood left behind on the snow, most of it from where I had clawed the young cats face and eye. Once I got into camp I put the cat into the den where Hazel was. I threw her down roughly and then sat and blocked then entrance. "We're holding her prisioner at the moment. Cobra wants me and you to watch her, make sure she don't go anywhere." I explained.

Wishpaw

i chose to hold my tounge when Wall threw me. It wan't like I was going to answer all their dumb questions. I still looked at the opening, which was welcoming sunshine into the lonely dark cave. If only there wasn't a cat blocking the doorway, I could see much more. Analyzing the opening, it looked as if it was big enough to let me through if I used the sides. If only I wasn't aching all over. This was the only time I prayed Starclan help me. Hopefully the cat called Soul could help.

Soul

All she could see was tiny white mice. Not much to feed the clan she thought as she brought back 3 tiny mice. Soul didn't want to go back, she saw some blood on the snow. Things are getting serious. She wished that the camp would have medicine cats like Spruceclan. Shaking her head, she prepared for the worst as she slowly trudge back toward the clan. She was already thinking about how to counter Wall. He would be telling Cobra about the incident. Joypaw was a mousebrain with a good heart. Things wouldn't happen if she just didn't chase the squirrel over. If it only were a mouse, he might have been kinder. Mice were useless to feed cats, only up to two. Squirrels were obviously much more valuable, being alot bigger then mice. Suddenly she stopped when the camp was just in reach. Hello death she thought gloomly. Of course, she could see an angry wall guarding the sleeping cave. Must be because of Wishpaw she thought of the tiny kit who always never listened to her. Wonder how far she took before she stopped Soul mused. The trees to her right was slowly dying, their bark obviously ruined by Wishpaw. Branches were littered all over the place. That Wishpaw she thought again. She couldn't risk anyone knowing their connections. She had done well over the last 5 moons but for life was hard. Many would find out sooner or later, but it's best to keep it a secret.

Cobra watched from a shadowed alcove in the camp as Soul entered. He stood up, his movements deliberately slow and silent as he slunk around behind the she-cat. Despite her being a leader as well, there was an unspoken amount of respect Cobra had earned as the son of a former leader. He would use this to his advantage.

"Soul." he hissed, "Explain to me why I have a story of you attacking your fellow Serpentine members? With physical evidence to support it?"

~~~~~
@emeraldstar
Quicksilver looked the kit over before quickly covering her in fierce licks to clear off any excess dirt. After a few moments she sat up straight, pulling the kit a bit closer with her paw. She sniffed her quickly before turning to Stormclaw.
"I'll take care of her until she's strong enough to survive on her own." she said.
~~~~~

Flarestar watched as Quicksilver accepted the rogue kit quickly. And he felt relieved.

He moved to go check on Jadestone and Cloudspots when Wolfwind shouldered her way into the camp. Flarestar watched curiously as the she-cat headed towards him.

"We have a rogue from the Serpentine here. She wishes to share information. I left her near a bramble bush, outside of camp." the she-cat said, keeping her voice low. "She claims she hates them after they captured her to work with them." she added seeing Flarestar's disbelieving expression.

"You left an enemy cat in our territory unattended?" he spat, his eyes flashing with rage. "What were you thinking?"

~~~~~
Smokepaw fell limp once his mentor had pinned him. He knew he was wrong to have tried to topple an opponent bigger than him. But he hoped that he'd be able to get the better of his mentor for once.
{Wall}
I heard Cobra confronting Soul outside of the den, and my paws itched to move and watch, but I dared not move out of respect for Cobras orders. I had the watch the apprentice. I would just have to listen. Sitting their gave me time to think back on when Soul distinctly said the apprentices ages were 6 moons. Yes I had noticed. I might have been in a rage fight for the prey and my pride, but when your a cat fighting to get to the top, you notice everything about the cats at the top, and now I had something on Soul. She knew the apprentices age, and she protective of them, and gave them food from our land. And the serpentine has no idea where-ever she came from. I scrapped the earth with my paws. And I thought back to how the first apprentice looked, and how this one here looked now. They did look somewhat similar to Soul, it would be plain for any cat to see if the put together all the clues like puzzle pieces. Their was only one question left. Why would a clan mother leave her kits? This I couldn't answer, but I didn't care. I would not tell any cat my theory for now, but save it to use as blackmail when I need it.
{Waspclaw}
I felt Smokepaw going limp under me in defeat, and I shagged my shoulders in slight disapointment, then made a firm pin again, I wasn't going to let him just give in. "Come on now, being pinned does not mean defeat, haven't you been taught how to defend yourself while pinned and get back in charge?"
{Emili}
I had sprung up when I saw Wall toss in the small clan cat. I was glaring at the apprentice, fur fluffed up and I hissed at her. Then I heard Cobra's voice outside the den, talking to Soul, accusing her of hurting a fellow group member in favor of clan cats. My fur fluffed up. The clan apprentice in the den, the bloody claw marks on Wall's side..rage engulfed me. What had Soul done? I felt the ends of my claws slid out slightly, and I growled at the thought of a traitor in the serpentine. I would shred her ear to tail! I looked up at Wall with huge eyes, "Did she really do this to you? Is Soul really a traitor? Oh how could she??" I was pacing around the den now, getting rather worked up.
{Lord}
"Oh calm down Emili!" I snarled from inside the den. The annoying young she-cat tended to get so over-reactive about so many things. I shoved past her and Wall and sat outside the den to watch what was going down.
{Fawn}
I had been laying outside under a tree near the den sharing tongues with my mate Feather when Wall had walked in with the bleeding apprentice, handing her roughly. This made my fur stand on end. "Someone ought to say something to that cat!" I growled. I tried to get to my paws but Feather lightly held me down with a paw on my shoulder.
{Feather}
"Oh please not again Fawn." I meowed in my worried voice. "Everytime you speak out, every cat but me starts hating you more and more. If you keep acting up, they'll kick you out once the kits are born!" I fretted. I didn't want Fawn to risk anything, but my stubborn mate just snorted in anger, and then calmed down a bit, and went limp under my paw I was using to hold her down. I took my paw away. "I want out of here." She whispered so quietly that it would be easier to hear a birds feather in the wind. "I know." I whispered back, ever as soft.
Hazel glanced curiously ar Wall. The tom seemed to be in deep thought. And agitated if he ever saw it.
"What's wrong?" Hazel asked after a long moment. While he wasn't the closest with the tom, Wall was the closest thing Hazel really had to a friend. If Hazel's respect for Wall's strength could really be called anything.
~~~~~

Smokepaw sighed as his mentor assumed his giving up. "The trick was you were supposed to let your guard down." he muttered, as he twisted his hind legs up to deliver a gentle kick to Waspclaw's chest meant to dislodge his mentor's hold over Smokepaw.

~~~~~
@emeraldstar
Flarestar sighed as Wolfwind shuffled back slightly.
"She has no reason to plan an attack with just her on this expedition. And besides, what cat would willingly admit to wanting to betray their own?" she asked.
Flarestar huffed. "You know full well that there's been Clanmates of yours who have sold our Clan out. Even cats who have ended up betraying their own friends."
He watched Wolfwind physically restrain a growl as she forced out her next statement.
"And how many of them would walk blindly into enemy territory and admit to having been captured? Forced to live with another? We should at least hear this cat out. And if worse comes to worst we can hold her prisoner."
Flarestar conceded. "You have a point. I'm going to fetch Stormclaw. I'll meet you by the camp entrance soon."
Wolfwind nodded, hurrying off as Flarestar headed to his deputy.
Soul
"Let's just say that this was not suppose to happen." I hissed angrily. "Why wouldn't Wall let me give even one piece to the clan, just a small innocent apprentice?" Shaking from anger, I continued enraged,"And the apprentice must be young, look at her, small, close to a size of a kit yet a bigger than a kit. " I knew that this would catch attention, even some unwanted ones. Rarely I would lose control but I was right now. 'Oh, and Wall threatened to kill me, just because of the prey." I angrily said. I would explain myself later, but I knew how to counter them. Many reasons came into my head, but the beat one was the truth. Sighing in defeat, I wearily said in a whisper in Cobra's ear,"If you want to know the truth, meet me by the heart of the forest, I believe you know where it is." Stepping back, I leaf the scene.
{Wall}
Hazels meow snapped me out of my thoughts. He questioned me about what was wrong. I wondered for a moment if I should tell him my theory, but I knew I couldn't. First off, the apprentice and Emili were still in the den. And second, I didn't want to risk any other cat having the knowledge. Knowledge is power, and I wanted the most power. I almost felt a slight stab of guilt, Hazel was the closest thing I had to call a friend. Although it was more based of mutual respect. If I ever became leader, he would be my first pick for my step-up. I decided to just tell him about what happened with Soul, but leave the part about my theory out. "Soul tried to give prey to some clan apprentices, prey that was on our land. And so, when I fought to get the prey, she defended them! Defended clan cats over a fellow group member. I gave her some light scratches on the nose and showed that traitor if she showed her pelt back in the serpentine again I would use her fur as a nest, mostly just in the rage of the moment, but still.." I paused for a second, exposed my claws, then slid them back in once again. I went on. "Anyway, I was running away with the prey, and that's when Soul gave me this scratches in my side." I looked at the scratches as I mentioned then, my pelt was becoming soaked on that side with blood, and they burned like fury. But I toughed through it.
{Emili}
My fur stood on end and I growled after listening to Wall's story. I started pacing around faster. "Oh that traitor! Oh that filthy rotten she-cat! Oh I'll help you turn her pelt into a nest! Oh I'll dig my claws so deep in go through bone!" I then noticed Wall's side. He was bleeding badly, not bad enough to kill him, but pretty bad. The wound needed to be tended to. "Wall, you're hurt." I said softly as I walked up to him. He twitched an ear.
"What about he?" He growled.
"It needs tending to." I said, looking at the gashes. I thought about what I could do, I had the basic knowledge that cobwebs stop bleeding, but I didn't know much else.
"Then tend to it." He growled. I rushed off to the corner of the den and pawed up some cobwebs, ignoring Wall's tone. I had grown used to his disrespect of she-cat's. I still believed he was a good cat, just one with some unfair bias. Anyway, I had a respect for him. When I came into the serpentine, he helped me learn the way of life their and helped train me. He was sort of like a role-modle, or maybe even like a father figure to me. I gently pressed the cobwebs onto his bleeding side.
{Lord}
I watched with mild interest as Soul had a fit, and then, whispering something into Cobra's ear, she went of. Curiosity itched in my paws, and I wanted to know what was going on. However, I knew it was something that Cobra would take care of.
{Feather}
I watched stunned as Soul went off and then just walked away. My fur fluffed up just in fright of the thought of her doing something so, so rebelious. Did she not understand the danger of it?
{Fawn}
I could tell the sight had left Feather tense, but not me. It had left me excited. I liked watching her go off on Cobra. It was a good show. But then my thoughts wandered back to the young apprentice in the sleeping den. I prayed to whoever might be listening that she be okay.
{Waspclaw}
I nodded in understanding and got off the apprentice. "Yes, but also understand that its a popular trick, and not every cat may fall for it, or, the cat could be wanting to kill you, and in that case they may not let their guard down until they've locked their jaws in your neck and you stop twitching." I then laid down on my back. "Come here and pin me, I'll show you some other tactics you can use when pinned."
Waspclaw's words chilled Smokepaw. He hurried over to where Waspclaw lay. Quickly Smokepaw put his paws on his mentor's chest holding him down.
"What next?" he asked.
~~~~~

@panda9983

Cobra hissed in distrust as Soul told him to meet her before walking away. He quickly looked around, spotting Lord watching the scene with some form of interest.

"Lord," Cobra snapped hurrying towards the tom. As he got closer he dropped his voice scarcely above a whisper. "I need you to follow after me, keeping to the trees. Avoid detection at all costs. But if something goes wrong, if this turns out to be a trick by Soul, don't hesitate to reveal yourself to help me."

Stepping away Cobra followed the scent trail left by Soul. He was a bit worried for what the she-cat would do but he had a form of back-up now. Even if it relied upon Lord's ability to sneak around.

~~~~~
Hazel blinked curiously at Wall's words. The tom's anger seemed greater than just what he said. But Hazel knew better than to push.
In the short time that elapsed Hazel watched as Emili began trying to fix Wall's wounds.
"If you don't want it to get infected, and it most likely will knowing how long it has been uncovered and exposed to the dirt here, go find some form of chervil." he said, his moons of living with his parents and uncle surfacing. He hadn't enjoyed their laid back lifestyle but it was a comfort to know how to treat wounds. Especially in the Serpentine.
{Waspclaw}
"Well first, you can use your hind legs to scratch at their stomach, thats a common move, but some cats might try to tough through the pain. A good move his to bring up your hind legs and waist, and do your best to wrap around the other cats waist with your legs, and attempt to scratch them with your back claws, and swiftly jerk the downward, this well throw them off balance, you can then slid away your waist and hind legs quickly out from beneath them, and use your front paw to knock them away. This well make them fall away, although the smaller and lighter the cat your pinned by is, the more effective the move is." I then without warning did the move just as I described.
{Lord}
"Yes Cobra." I replied in my deep meow. I waited a moment after he had slunk away, and then I silently followed after him, keeping quite and low to the ground. I kept low so the white of my pelt would blend with the snow, and the tortie part of my pelt would blend with the forest. I made sure to stay downwind, although their was hardly more then a breeze. Cobra was depending on me, and I wouldn't let him down.
{Emili}
I shot a confused glance toward Hazel, "Chervil? What does it look like?" I had never heard of the plant before, but I was greatful for Hazel's help. I wouldn't want Wall's scratches to get infected, infections were nasty once they took hold. I noticed that the apprentice too had a scratch across her eye that was sure to get infected. But I knew that I for sure wasn't going to treat her. For all I cared she could get infected and go blind in that eye.
"It is green, with leaves forming a rounded shape on the edge of each stem. Each leaf has multiple ridges on it." he explained, tracing the plants leaves in the dirt. His own drawing showed more than his words could, revealing a rounded triangle, with ridged leaves, most having three points and being close to the others. Three in a bunch in each triangle.
Smokepaw let out a strained gasp as Waspclaw flipped and pinned him. Smokepaw's legs sprawling away from him. He hadn't expected Waspclaw to show him this move so shortly after explaining it. But he was all the more grateful for being shown how the move would work.
Explaining it was one thing. But the actual application was always more difficult.
Soul
She stopped in the heart of the forest. Turning around, she wearily said to Cobra,"I won't tell you the whole truth, it'll be up for you to figure it out. But you can notice why I did those things, if you look closely at the apprentice. And don't go telling everyone what you found out, it won't make life easier for anyone, especially the apprentices. I do think that Wall might kno, but I have reasons to shake him off. I guess I trust you the most, and I'll tell you my past bit by bit, but it'll be only told by clues. I trust you know how to piece the puzzles together." Then she left, without turning back. Should I tell him that I have a crush, she thought to herself. She shook her head. and ran back. The Serpentine has been her home for a few moons, she must stay loyal, no matter what.
Cobra stood there for a moment utterly confused by the recent occurrence. He shook his head before trekking back. Soul's fate now rested in the hands of a Trial. One of the scarcely used methods in the Serpentine.
He didn't hesitate as he re entered the camp. Instead moving directly onto the largest overhanging ledge in the camp. Scurrying up on a small path to stand over the camp.
"Cats of the Serpentine." he called out. "Gather here and hear my words, there is much we must discuss."
{Waspclaw}
I waited a second for Smokepaw to catch his breath, and then I meowed, "Now you try it."
{Emili}
I studied the etch in the ground and started repeating over and over. "Three round ridged leaves three round ridged leaves." I bounded out of the den and started looking at the close by plants. "Three round ridged leaves three round ridged leaves three round ridged leaves three round ridged leaves." my tail sprung up in excitement as I saw a plant that looked just like what Hazel had said. I picked them with my teeth right away and ran back to the den on swift paws, running into it and nearly crashing into Hazel. I looked at the tom bright eyed, "Are these the right ones?" I meowed through the stems. I heard Cobra's call, so I didn't wait for Hazel's answer and I quickly treated Wall with the herb then went out to see what Cobra was going to say.
((While writing this it reminded me of the scene in Shrek with Donkey repeating "blue flowers red thorns" I felt compelled to share that bit of info))
{Lord}
I watched as Soul walked away. Once she was fully out of sight and ear shot, I stood up out of my hinding spot and looked at Cobra with a confused glance. I then walked back to the camp and sat down to listen to what Cobra had to say.
{Feather}
Me and Fawn glanced up at Cobra, we had already been laying close to where he was standing now, so we waited.
{I'm only pinging everyone because there are a few important things I need to say really quick. The first is that there has been a poll added to the page. This poll is in regards to the current number of cats in the two groups, and I would appreciate it if you all voted. The second, is that I've made a last minute change to Viperfang's name, changing it from Viperfang to one of the new names I'm considering changing it to which is Viperpad. I just don't want anyone confused once I begin using her fully. The name change is also why I refrained from using her up until this point. Finally, I've added up a summary of all events up until this current post on the front page under the link to the sign-up page. Said summary also includes the current time of day at the time of this post.}
Smokepaw went over his mentor's words as Waspclaw ordered him to replicate the battle move. He swung his hind legs up to Waspclaw's own waist, wrapping them around before he gently pummeled Waspclaw's back with soft paws. At the same time, Smokepaw attempted to twist, throwing Waspclaw off balance. Although the apprentice wasn't able to do much more than lightly stagger his mentor.
Cobra watched as the cats gathered below him. He had seen no sign of Willowblossom or Foxheart since that morning. "Before anything can begin, has any cat seen or heard from Willowblossom and Foxheart at all recently? It is important that the two of them are in attendance today."
As Cobra called for news of his fellow Leader and the Step-Up Hazel observed Emili's work. "Those were the right herbs, all that needs to be done is to wrap his wound with a few cobwebs. They help to keep anything from making the wound worse."
Flarestar moved towards the nursery where Quicksilver and Stormclaw sat beside the kit. "Stormclaw," Flarestar meowed as he approached. "I need your presence to help question a rogue caught on our territory."
