I chuckled softly and started walking alongside him. "I don't mind. I'd rather listen that to speak anyway." We only had to walk about a minute down the street before we reached the Sugar Wing bakery. I looked at it and raised a brow. "Hm, looks pretty packed in there. Must be a decent place." I opened up the door and held it for the smaller male, stepping in behind him.

The room was filled with the scent of sugar. The sweet smell penetrated my nostrils deeply and caused my nose to scrunch up slightly. With a frown, I stared blankly at the display case. Wow, it was like I had just dove into a bath of vanilla icing topped with... sprinkles? Ugh, I could already tell I wasn't going to like any of the treats there but I did tell Paxon I'd take him here.

For the love of the Gods, please let there be coffee....

Delsis threw on a grey button down shirt, a black vest, dark colored jeans, and a pair of dark brown combat book. To top it off, he put on a black beanie. He didn't bother brushing his hair, nothing could tame it anyway. Looking back in the mirror, he didn't appear much better than when he had first woken up. Maybe a slight upgrade. Now all he had to do was wait.

The woman quickly made her way to her desk and wrote a quick note. It read: Will be back as soon as possible! Feel free to drop off anything for me on my desk! ~Alexandra Fern. Grabbing her purse, the woman sped walked out of the building and climbed into her car. A sudden ping of panic struck her and made her search through her purse during a red light. What she was looking for wasn't there. Next she checked the glove box and a wave of relief washed over her. The woman's hand gun rested there and it would be coming in handy very soon.

She stopped in front of an old looking apartment and slipped her gun into her purse before entering. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of order so she had to take the stairs. On the up side, the avian lived on the third floor. Finally she found the room. Room 333. Alexandra knocked and waited. This had better not take long.

Paxon thanked Dalton and a smile spread across his face at the smell. His mouth watered at the thought of the pastries and raced inside. When he got inside, Paxon was surprised to find it rather packed. Not that Sugar Wing was bad, but he had passed by the shop before and there hadn't seemed like a lot of people were there. However, it was at night when he first looked in.

Breathing out a rather heavy sigh, Xander slumped down into the chair across from the one the blonde had been occupying, watching as she forced her way back into the restroom. It was definitely suspicious. Whether you had some weird bladder issue or not, no one went to the washroom that frequently...

He narrowed his pale green eyes at the women's bathroom sign and tapped his thumb rhythmatically on the table, waiting for her to come out. Once she had, he watched as she left Sugar Wing and began walking down the street towards downtown. The glazed donut on the table sat there. Untouched.

Definitely suspicious.

Quickly getting up from his chair, he moved swiftly to follow her, pulling open the door... maybe, a little too quickly. Xander wasn't sure how he even missed them. He blamed the fact that his mind was elsewhere. But he happened to bump against another guy, the same height as him, with brown hair and amber eyes. "Ah, sorry." Xander apologized, taking a couple of steps back to let the two of them in. For a moment, his eyes locked on the gentleman behind the man he had just run into, noticing the two seemed to be together but not commenting on it.

I watched as another man bumped into Paxon. He seemed to be in some kind of rush, but he still should have watched where he was going. I noticed the man give me a weird look and I stared directly into his invading gaze. "Is something wrong? You look frazzled." I teased him as he stepped back and apologized to Paxon.

Drace groaned as he dragged himself through the streets. He felt especially lazy today and decided to get something to eat instead of making something. A shop called "Sugar Wings" or something caught his eyes, and also the commotion happening in the shop. He would usually walk past whatever is happening and order, but his evilness was especially high today. Smirking, he thought, YOU SHALL NOT PASS (because) in the loudest voice possible and sent the message to the person who got bumped into.

Anna nodded and laughed. She sat down, her feet in a peculiar position. "Hello sparky. Any pizza sounds fine to me!" Anna smiled. The scent of pizza made her stomach growl.

Loli looked over. It seemed like there was another customer, but there was so many people she couldn't tell. She decided to call out anyways. "Welcome to Sugar Wing! How can I help you?" Another person suddenly freaked out. "Probably that person crashed or something. I better make more room." she thought.

Sparky sat down. He opened the box of pizza and handed Anna some slices. "I hope you like it!" he said as he bit into a pepperoni pizza slice. He ate it, a bit rudely but, he didn't mean to be impolite. He then grabbed the ball and spun it around, thinking. "She's nice. Maybe she'd like to be my friend!" He put the ball on the ground and held out his hand. "Would you like to be friends?"

Ria walked into Sugar Wing with her hood pulled up. Her wings itched to be set free but they had to wait for her to eat, her stomach always won. Ria walked up to the counter and sneezed, she looked up. A cat was roaming around somewhere's.
"Good morning!" She greeted the cashier.

Anna bit into a slice. She giggled. "This is the best pizza ever!" she exclaimed truthfully. Anna watched him eat and then he heldout his hand.She smiled and shook it. "Of course." She said.

"Are you an avian hunter?" she asked absent mindedly. "I kind of am." she lied, her face growing red.

"Well.." Sparky replied, "No." He was having deep thoughts. "Anna said she was a bit of an Avian hunter, but how can we throw away friendship now?" He decided to try to stall a bit, just in case. "I gonna go use the restroom." he said to Anna. "Could you watch over my stuff?"

Anna sighed in relief. "Alright!" She said, sitting closer towards his stuff. She thought about how he might be an Avian Hunter and had just lied. She felt her wings push in nervousness. She sighed. Come back soon...Please... she thought silently.

Sparky went to the restroom. (after a few minutes.) Then he came back out. "Everything okay?" he asked Anna. He sat down. "Do you want more pizza?" he asked. He took another slice of pizza.

Paxon shook his head with a smile. "You're fine! Sorry! It's my bad!" he rambled and quickly moved out of the way. The avian sat down at a booth, not yet ready to order. Did he want a doughnut or a muffin? Maybe a cupcake? Hmmm so many choices. Turing to Dalton he asked, "What are you gonna get? I'm still debating- Ouch! Gosh dang, what the heck was that?!" A loud YOU SHALL NOT PASS! rang through his head. Paxon's hands immediately went to his ears, but it didn't help.

The door opened and Alexandra lifted an eyebrow.

"Not even trying to hide those stupid wings, huh? Wow," she growled, disgust leaking from her voice. The avian just shrugged, probably use to the insults by now.

"Personally, I don't see the point anymore. I never go out," he mumbled. The woman rolled her eyes and pushed her way through. The avian's room wasn't exactly messy, but definitely wasn't neat. An outfit was scattered across the floor.

"Alright. I need you to help me with a certain person at my work. Zagam Sirket. Something about her is off..."

"Why don't you do it yourself? She literally works with you-" he was cut off by a click and a movement of Alexandra's hand from her purse. She pointed the gun at his chest and he sighed. The avian expected this and crossed his arm and adverted his eyes.

"Fine."

"Thank you Delsis! Now, be a good little birdie and be ready by tonight. That's when you start."

Anna began to speak, her voice shaking. "Yes. I need to use t.. the restroom!" Anna stumbled up and ran into Sugar wings. She looked at the ground as she stumbled into the bathroom. Her wings came out as she finished locking the door.

A few minutes later, Anna went back to Sparky. She noticed she had a feather on her shoulder so she brushed it off and threw it back. She smiled at Sparky and waved.

Ria, after paying for her donuts and headed towards home. Her apartment was right behind the park. as she was walking she heard a siren blaring from down the streets and pulled her hood up farther and continued walking towards the park, hoping she wouldn't be next.

Liberty speed walked towards the sound of the siren. Where one Avian is, there is sure to be more. When she finally reached the park the sirens were still going. She looked around and saw a girl walking hastily across the playground. Liberty started running over to her.

Drace didn't know who asked him what he wants to order due to the majority of people all around him. "I'll take a sweetened ice tea if you have those?!" He shouted. While dodging all the humans (and possibly Avians), he made his way towards the counter, approaching the red-haired person who seems to work there. He stopped midway and glanced at the blonde (with some streaks of brown) haired person who was talking to the guy who got bumped into and thought, Maybe the first person right next to you may already be your friend. Wink wink, thinking the "wink wink" more of a whisper. He sent that message right towards that person's way.

Drace arrived at the counter and smiled at the worker.

"If you didn't hear me from all the way back there, I was wondering if this place sells sweetened iced tea?" He asked, If they didn't, he'd order something else anyways. Drace guessed that this place sells sweet things because to the sign.

Neith had slipped away in the commotion grateful to be away from that place. She hasn't noticed it before but as soon as she got far enough away the overwhelming scents of smoke, sugar and pinesap vanished. She knew people to carry echoes with them, people without death echoes were far less common than those with them. But something about that place set her off.

She was hurrying down the street, throwing her coat back on as her spell wore off when sirens distracted her. She itched to head after them, find out what was wrong. But she knew how foul of an idea that was. Instead she turned and headed towards home. Trusting her feet to lead her to the right spot. Even if the apartment she shared wasn't it.

"No, I'm alright." Xander stated bluntly at the dark haired male in front of him, moving out of the way so neither of them were blocking the doorway now. "I should have watched where I was going."

His dull green eyes met with the stranger's emerald ones and held it for a moment, before he looked away and moved to leave the bakery. As fate would have it, a certain blonde came running back into Sugar Wing in just that moment, causing him to turn and watch.

"Maybe the first person next to you may already be your friend..." A voice said in his head different from his own. "Wink, wink..."

Pushing the base of his palm against his forehead and rubbing, Xander glanced over at Dalton with a confused look plastered across his face. "You..." God. He was going to sound like some crazy person. Don't make it weird... "Heard that, right?" Very specific, Xander.

I watched as Paxon chose a booth to sit at and glanced over at the menu. I wondered what I would get. Wouldn't it be awkward if I didn't get anything after asking Paxon to come get a snack with me? [yeep]. There wasn't many options for a sugar-hating mam like myself.

The man who bumped into Paxon spoke in response to my question and I met his eyes with an intimidating look. Just as I went to speak some crazy looking blonde girl rushed through the door and to the washroom. "What the..." I muttered under my breath with a confused tone to my voice. Deciding to ignore that, I looked back down at this mystery man as he uttered something strange to me. "Heard what?" I asked with a raised brow. "You sure you're okay? Maybe you should sit down." I placed my gloved hand on the mans shoulder gently. "Care to join us?" I continued.

I walked over to the counter to order and looked back at Paxon. "Come pick something, it's my treat." I smiled softly at him.

Xander glanced down at the firm hand on his shoulder, fighting the urge to shove it off. Luckily, the taller male removed it before there was much trouble. Shrugging his shoulders, Xander gave the man an impassive look, figuring it gave him a reason to stay longer since the blonde was here. "Yeah, sure, I don't really have any place to be right now."

He took a seat across from the brunette, nodding slightly as if to say he was joining them and wasn't being rude, then set his bag down at his feet.

"So, I guess if I'm sharing a table with you two I should ask your names." Xander started, looking between the two. "I'm Xander." He said, looking at the brunette and then to the other man at the counter.

A wide childish smile appeared on the avian's face. He could pick anything? He felt like a kid in a candy shop, which wasn't far off from the actual situation. Paxon scurried from the booth, a decision in mind. He walked up to the counter and pointed to a brownie behind the glass counter. Looking back at Dalton, he said, "This one please! And thanks! I owe you one for sure."

Paxon gave Dalton a quick hug and then skipped back to the booth. Suddenly he noticed another person sitting at the booth. As the person introduced himself, the avian grinned. Another potential friend! "Nice to meet ya, Xander! My name is Paxon."

My eyes widened and my brow furrowed slightly when the smaller male hugged me. What in the- I watched as he skipped away and sat across from th new guy who had, to my surprise, accepted my offer to join us. Why on earth did he hug me? I couldnt remember the last time I had been hugged. It felt... almost uncomfortable.

I heaved a sigh and ordered the brownie that Paxon wanted and a smile tugged at my lips when I spotted 'coffee" on the menu above. "Oh, thank the gods." I muttered to myself.

"I'll take that brownie and a coffee. Black. Oh, and a butter croissant." I asked, rather impolitely. Once the lady behind the desk gathered everything up for my, I paid for it and set it on a tray. At least the coffee smelled decent. I walked over to the table and sat beside Paxon, setting the tray down in front of us. "I'm Dalton." I said with confidence. "Xander, was it?" I held out my gloved hand and grinned.

"Nice to meet you both." Xander said rather politely, shaking Dalton's outstretched hand and looking over at Paxon with a smile.

The thought of the strange girl, possibly Avian, in the bathroom still lingered in his mind, but for now he decided to use both of them as a reason to stay until she came out.

"So..." Xander's voice lingered, hoping to clear the silence that settled between him and his newly acquainted 'friends'. "How long have you two known each other?"

The avian picked up the brownie and began to nibble on it. He was never one to gobble down his food, preferring to enjoy the taste. Looking over at Xander, it almost looked like the man was distracted. Paxon could only imagine what others thought about. His own thoughts never seemed to stay on one subject very long. It wasn't long until the avian's own thoughts were interrupted by the new man's question.

"Actually, we just met this morning! At the park to be exact," Paxon recalled, thinking back to this morning. "So overall, not that long. What brought you to Sugar Wing?"

"Really?" Xander seemed surprised by that. They acted like best pals for two people who just met each other... Unless... His inquisitive gaze moved from Paxon and then to Dalton and back again, giving a mental nod to himself before leaning back against the chair. Huh.

"Well, actually this is my first time here." Xander stated, "I just moved back to the city about a week ago because of work- and I live literally right up the street so I kind of just passed this place on my walk to downtown..."

As he was talking, he could see a familiar blonde pass the table in his peripheral before scurrying out of the door yet again and running towards downtown. He thought better than to suddenly get up in the middle of the conversation, even if she could be an Avian, and leave the two confused at the table, so he stayed put. Xander had a feeling she would be back..

Tilting his head slightly without missing a single beat in the conversation, he asked, "Weird place to have a bakery, right?"
