If you want to reply to someone, just go to their profile (by clicking their username in the forums) and post on their wall or PM (private message) them

To ping someone (notify them), you just put the 'at' sign in front of their username
eg. @totallynotjoey
Pings are also links to that user's profile

Oh, and also, orange words or phrases are usually links unless the word or phrase was purposely coloured orange (and you can do that by using the eCode)
They can still be coloured though 😊

Welcome to Eggcave! 😃 I see @totallynotjoey has already put you up to speed with most things. 😊 If you happen to have any questions, I'll be willing to answer, too. 😊

A mistake I made as a newbie was not stealing all the monthlies I could find in the Cave for my first couple of months, leading me to have a lack of creatures to trade. Monthlies are creatures that are released on the first of every month and retire at the end of said month. After a couple of months, or even years if you're patient enough, they can be traded to achieve higher-valued creatures. The monthlies in the Cave this month are the Jarohal and the Mossorro.

You might also find a Erthona or a Crypto. These creatures are what we call LE's, or Limited Editions. They are generally rarer and more valuable than monthlies because they can only be found in a small time-span. Try to get as many as you can!
