I know that hydrogen peroxide is good for cuts on the inside of your mouth, because my orthodontist has given me some for my braces, but I don't think it's actually got that much effect on your teeth.

I'm not a scientist, but that's just what I know.

@sarahsaurus (I always forget to ping at the beginning)

Er... is it a good idea to use something if you don't know what it does? o_O

But I did hear about using it to make your teeth whiter or something like that.
Dunno though

@icymuffin

All is does is turn to water and give off hydrogen gas, that's why it bubbles. Its actually not a disinfectant but because it gets into tight spaces and then bubbles it pushes up the dirt in cuts and the plaque between your teeth. Its H2O2 and when exposed to light it goes through its chemical reaction, proteins and enzymes in our blood/flesh act as a catalyst and speed the reaction up. In normal speak, if you leave it out it will slowly turn to water but if you put it in a cut it turns to fizzy water real fast. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I have no idea, but I have a joke for you. ๐Ÿ˜ธ

Two men went into a bar. The first one said, 'I want H2O.'
The second person said, 'I want H2O too.'

The second man died. Why?

@sarahsaurus
The person thought he said 'H2O2' instead of 'H2O too' so the man was given H2O2, which is poisonous. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

hydrogen peroxide is water with an extra atom of oxygen.
its H2O2 instead of H2O which is water. I put my baby teeth in it to be cleaned, so I dunno XD you can get special hydrogen peroxide from drug stores or something specially for teeth.

@redfire77 no you dont need to, just swish it around then spit it out, and rinse. swallowing a little is ok, just not a lot. i do it every once in a while and yes it is good for your teeth ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hydrogen Peroxide can also help whiten your teeth. Not much, but it does. It is good for your teeth and gum health...just make sure you don't swallow it.
