Writing/Art Shop?

So, like it says in the title, I'm definitely not confident enough to actually just make any shop outright. No, I have to fuss about a couple things first. While I can draw, I have a predicament. I am a traditional artist at best and someone who makes pencil scratches on paper and then promptly destroys said paper at worst. Suffice to say it, while I might churn out a couple okay bits of art there and then, my unreliable art skills probably aren't going to get me much, nor am I just going to promise art that I cannot reliably create. The art bit here is mostly an interlude and a query. Art is cool and all, but I'm wondering if people would actually want to buy anything that's so unpredictable. Now, writing. Writing is something again, that I will say I am decent at, and then say I'm horrible at it in the same sentence. I'm a RPer on this site, so that's one example, but Glith is another. I could probably force myself to create something okay, while art is random. I'm interested to see if there's a market for writing or creating stories for creatures profiles, or even just helping to write for an elaborate user led scavenger hunt. I would really like to that, and that is something I believe I could feasibly do.

Now, last problem. Pricing, especially for writing. While I could base art prices on other people's shops, I don't know how on earth to price writing. I would love help with that, and in other ways to price it. Art is also confusing, but since I'm much less likely to actually create an art shop, I'm not worrying about it too much.

So, in essence, I'm wondering if my art and writing are good enough to be sold, and if so, how to price writing. I'll make more examples if more people show interest, and Glith's story isn't done either, but I'd like to see if there actually is any interest.

Okay! While I can't really open a shop with just one customer, I'd like to see what you think fair pricing is to for writing. And also if you think that traditional art is worth paying for.

@arcana Is that your art in the link? If so, thats great! maybe 200k ec? Writng I feel should be value in paragraphs/sentences. Maybe5k a sentence or 25k a paragrapg. Time is a hard thing to value or gauge, as well as difficulty. Paragraphs and sentences are pretty easy to count 😋.

Hmm, I do think counting be sentences would be best, since they are fairly uniform, but I would hate to hit a writing cap if I wanted to write more. As for art, I think I might reserve doing art for close friends or myself on this site. With friends, I can do it without worrying as much. And yes, it is my art. Are you interested in buying any writing or art right now?

Thank you both for your interest! If there's a bit more interest, I'll start figuring some better pricing numbers and make a final decision about what I should do art-wise.
