I saw the new dragons in the cave but everyone got it before me. ☹️ Been refreshing for ages. I didn't manage to get any Black Marrows or Pumpkin Pygmies. Dx

On the bright side, I got all 40 items from the haunted house and an alternative Vine Dragon. 😃

@kittyt On second thought, I'd rather keep my Marrows. They all gendered female like I wanted. 😊 And I'm locked with 6 of the new eggs. *happy dance* Didn't take all that long either.

@dragonstorm78 The new dragons appear in all areas. There is a big drop on the hour and then smaller drops every five minutes. The small drops go really fast.

(For everyone)
Tips for catching new eggs:
-Turn off javascript (in firefox this works by going to options, opening options and going to the content tab and making sure the "enable javascript" box is NOT checked)
-keep your mouse over one egg, either the far left, far right, or middle. DO NOT move your mouse around.
-hit F5 (refreshes page) as often as you can
-middle click with your mouse on the egg as often as you hit F5 (middle clicking opens the link in a new tab) You middle click by, usually, clicking the scroll wheel of your mouse.

Once the drop is done (or opened a crap ton of tabs) go through the tabs and see if any of your clickings got you eggs. You might be surprised at how many eggs you get. 😉 Also remember to turn javascript back on once you are done hunting.


Edit: Oh heck yes. My pumpkins grew up and now I have a gold trophy. Time to get one more new egg. 😃

I successfully revived my dragon. 😊 I don't think it turned into a zombie, though. Dx They don't happen to stay the dragon they are for a while, do they?

Edit: Ugh, I tried killing the same dragon, thinking it was another. I just wasted a kill, and killed another dragon. Dx

@cfmtfm Yup. 😊 Most of his holiday dragons have awesome codes. Nice catch on the Vampire. At some point the success rate for them changed and now they are pretty hard to get. So that's a great catch!

I got the new Halloween egg on Halloween and it's all thanks to you @orderedchaos, because if you hadn't given those tips, I most likely wouldn't have gotten one. I'm sorry I forgot to say thanks before, but I wanted to say it now so THANKS A BUNCH😃!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😃

I don't think your scroll is cursed. I think it's just popular. That's why it gets co many views and clicks, so you should be happy even though your dragons get sick.

I think the black marrows look really cool, I wanted to get one. I did, however get 3 of the shadow walkers, so I shouldn't complain. 😊 Also, I love how the nebulas look, I always keep an eye out for them. I'm egg locked now, though..

All of my Halloween dragons [not the Shadows, the Pumpkin + Black Marrows] gendered Female. @_@

Can anyone breed me a Silver? I need a mate for my current one ;-;

during halloween I only got a shadow walker and then I was egg locked and couldn't get anymore☹️. But I'm still happy I got one.

Just wondering, if you breed a halloween egg with another egg when it isn't halloween, can you still get a halloween egg or does it have to be during halloween to get a halloween egg?

Red Dorsal (first 2 Dorsals)? Vine (first 2 Vines on your scroll)? White? Ember?

I have a huge wish list.
I'm locked atm, so if you could hold for me that'd be great. If not, just leave the breeding until later 😊

@lily- I think the lineages do mean something - lineages point out if something is Inbred, I think. Inbred means it is unable to breed. 😊" Sorry for being a nerd. And if it's got a shorter lineage, it has a better chance of breeding.

And I thought Inbred meant that it was from bred a differeant species (ex Ember + Nebula)? Maybe that's just me never realizing these things lol

@kittyt Incorrect, inbreds can breed. Inbreed just means the same dragon appears more than once in the lineage.

Lineages don't affect breeding at all. In fact there are several people on the forums who do some fantastic inbred lineages. Like this one http://dragcave.net/lineage/TcEb

Lineages are purely aesthetic. Many people on the forums have lineage projects and sometimes lineages play a part in trading. But there are just as many people who ignore lineages completely.

@lily- Any Holiday dragon will only breed more of its kind during that holiday. Any other time of the year it will only produce eggs of its mate's breed. Example: http://dragcave.net/progeny/eaDV This is one of my Valentines. It only has terrea offspring because I've never had a chance to breed it on Valentine's Day.

@frumball Are you new to Dragon Cave? Your eggs can't be "This egg will die if it doesn't hatch in: 3 days and 23 hours" or less, it needs to go in an ER. ^^ I'm not good at explaining stuff, so you might wanna ask someone else :]
