eCode Change?

Hi! I am still early on in coming back from my hiatus and noticed the eCode seems to have different coding format for the same creature? Example:

Old eCode format:
https://eggcave.com/egg/2563349.png

New eCode format:
https://carton.eggcave.com/eggs/2563349.png

Will the old eCode still work, or will I have to get new codes for the creatures? And is there any difference between the old and new eCode?
