Is there ever a discount on freeze potions?

Hi everyone 🙂 hope you're having a nice week so far.

I'm curious if there's ever a discount on freeze potions like there's a sale on cc. If so, I'll save up for then, since there are quite a few creatures that I want to freeze and cc is so expensive and rare.

Hi Alex,
I only started at the beginning of this year, but I've only ever seen the sale on CC.

(And I hear you there. The freeze potions are expensive. I think I'd buy more CC's worth if they only cost 100 CC. The cost adds up quickly.)

(On the site's anniversary this year existing players who logged in all were gifted 500 CC! 😃 ...it doesn't buy much, but it was VERY appreciated.)

@snowywinter good to know! I know that there's a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale every year, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else on sale besides cc.

That's awesome that TEC awards 500cc to everyone on EC's anniversary. I missed it this year (I just looked it up, it's July 20th for those who didn't know either). I'm really looking forward to the next one! 😊👍

oh. A cyber Monday sale didn't even cross my mind. Maybe the answer is in an old blog post, but the staff seem to add little tweaks now and then.
(I just wish freezes were items that could be stocked up or traded. If the site does offer them on sale on those days, it would almost be necessary to have a detailed list made up ahead of time. It could take a lot of time sorting through them; I've tried.)

If you do next month's gobbler event and you can manage to stay on the leaderboard at the end of the event you will win 1k cc. And as for the anniversary thing that one just recently started I missed out on that too, but before we didn't have that event. The only event to win some cc was and it still is the gobbler event in November. You'll have to feed every day and do lots of feeds to keep yourself on the board and that's the way that event works.

@snowywinter agreed, I wish freeze potions were items and didn't require real money. It seems a little too greedy to me, but I guess they have to pay those staff and server bills somehow.

Subeta, for example, has a real money component, but it's much easier to be a free player on there (you can acquire the premium currency in small amounts via dailies and quests, not just paying money or trading with people who paid). And it's been working for them. On the other hand, what do I know about running a virtual pets site? 😄

Hm. Seems like there's a lot of competition on this site (auctions, the Oasis, the gobbler event). No wonder everybody seems very suspicious of each other ("NOT UFT and DON'T FEED and NO FRIEND REQUESTS"). Maybe it's just me, but that's the feeling I've been getting since I joined about a month ago. It kinda seems like everyone hates each other on here. Hopefully I'm wrong 😅
