After I got a hang of the controls, I wanted to try to actually finish a constellation, but found that it was quite difficult, as none of the possibilities seemed to fit.

So I wanted to ask-is there a possibility that the figure would be rotated? Like not exactly like the picture, but turned 90 degrees, 180 degrees, etc?

@twilightshine
It's never rotated. It can sometimes be kind of small though

I've always found the example to be slightly smaller to the size your looking for. A tip that may help it to try to find a distinguishing feature in the constellation. It may be three stars in a strait line, or two or three close together. Then work from there. If you make a mistake, reset your page as it will clear all your lines.

Edited to change the sizing thing. I got mixed up with something else.

I just want to pretty much second what minnie said, except i've had them show up in a bunch of different sizes.
I start the page off small so I can get an idea of where it's at that I need to work on, then zoom in a bit if there are some stars close together (as you win more that really comes in handy.) I can't remember who gave the zoom in tip last year, but I thank them SO MUCH!
Finding those patterns that you recognize in each one has been critical for me at times. The way they line up in certain patterns. Picking out the way certain parts line up, or the way they cluster. (Most of them are a set of 3-4 of the dots. Others have more obvious bundles.) (And others have so few dots it's almost useless, and you're pretty much looking for the whole constellation anyhow. >.< )
And yes, if you make a mistake, don't try to undo it... refresh the page or it will still count as a wrong answer.

Good luck everyone! ❤️

@cryogenics

100% of the time the constellation should be in the stars provided. There will also not be any non-constellation stars in the constellation too.

If this happens again, please take a screenshot and upload it to the Egg Cave discord or an image sharing website please and let me know.

just want to give a heads up to everyone. I don't know what or how it happened, but when I clicked the final star in one of my last two puzzles it added extra lines from that point. (Thankfully I caught it just before I clicked Submit.)

So even if you are absolutely certain you completed one of them correctly, make sure to look it over.

(My computer or mouse have been acting odd so I'm thinking it may be on my end, but if it happens to me again I'll submit a ticket.)

@snowywinter
Have you tried changing the battery in your mouse? That is really odd to hear.

@mastergemma Yes I have. Unfortunately the only mouse that I've found to comfortably fit my hand is a cheaply made low-end p.o.j. It got popular and they stopped investing into the quality. I'm now having to buy about one a year; as the circuitry dies they start to do all sorts of weird crazy things.
And the internet browser devs are working out some kinks with low-memory handling issues. (Which you get what you pay for and my computer had low-memory issues from the start.)

Lately the most common annoying issues is if I click on something it open it in a new window. (Like here when I'm feeding. anywhere really... that's just an example of when it's at the most annoying.)

But that's mostly irrelevant to the thread. Just trying to illustrate why I'm hesitant to send a ticket about the issue and would hedge my bets that it was on my end. At least 78%, believe that.

Still, it's good advice to double check those final lines, regardless. lol
