This is my #creaturesuggestion for the Bulbrigar. The name is a combination of bulb and budgerigar. DescriptionEgg:Bulbrigar eggs are snow white in coloration and decorated with small strands of Christmas lights. These lone strands are able to light up even though they’re unplugged, since the eggs produce a magical type of static electricity that powers them. Creature:Bulbrigars are a type of parrot that are typically only seen near Ark City during winter. They begin their nesting season in late November when Arkians start to hang their Christmas lights. Bulbrigars love nothing more than bright and colorful Christmas lights and will take individual bulbs to decorate their feathers. Bulbrigars produce a special type of static electricity that not only powers the lights, but also holds them in place within their feathers. They will also use their razor sharp beaks to cut off bits of light strands and weave them into their nests, which gleam with color when the bird comes into the vicinity.Due to their destructive nature when it comes to lights, many Arkians consider Bulbrigars a nuisance. Attempts to dissuade them from cutting light strands have been unsuccessful due to their intelligent nature, but it is rumored that they will not touch your decorations as long as you leave a pile of lights on your roof for them to take from.

@okami (how did i just realized that this suggestion was posted on my b-day last year and didn’t notice hhh)surprised how nobody has posted on this suggestion yet! i do like how in the final stage, it resembles a cardinal (which i’ve totally forgotten it’s also another bird commonly put on Christmas cards as i don’t see ‘em often)

@okami This is sooo cute what!! Your drawings are beyond adorable! The Bulbrigar looks so cheery and happy. :,)What I love about this suggestion:• the simplicity of the egg design, we need more of that here... somewhere to rest the eyes... ^^' Sometimes less is more and I really appreciate that!• the baby is SO precious, it's fun to have the egg + the (visible) creature in one stage• the adult being decorated in lights, they look so pleased x)• the color design is so great, especially the teen to adult evolution, how the green and red kinda switches• the teen nesting on the lights is probably my favorite!!• "the eggs produce a magical type of static electricity"• "cut off bits of light strands and weave them into their nests"@Ian @matchaPlease check out this darling Christmas birdy!♪♫ All I want for Christmas is a Bulbrigar. ♫♪

@opalquinze Thank you! 😊 Yeah, for the final stage I took a bit of inspiration from both a parrot and a cardinal, glad that somewhat shows in my lack of drawing skills xD@daisycatAhhh thank you! ❤️ I'd hope that all the lights in the different stages would have great potential to look so pretty, everytime I see a creature with lights or ornaments on them they always look stunning *-*@matchaThank you! 😸 Birds (especially any parrot) are so chaotically inclined to destruction, if they were able to cut down lights irl they definitely would lol@noman15 @redflipflap @shirothekittehlover Thank you all, I greatly appreciate the support! ❤️
