🛒 Shop auto-buy feature!

Hi! I don’t know if this has been suggested before but it would be nice to have an auto-buy option for the NPC/EC shops. This means that it automatically pays the exact asking price (there’s an alternative below) for the item. I’m not really fond of typing out numbers (especially from my phone) and personally, haggling doesn’t help me save that much EC as I can gain the savings in a matter of feeding a couple of eggs.

Edit: As there are concerns with regards to clearing out the shops through this feature, I have some ideas on how to avoid this from happening:
- extra charge for the auto-buy (suggested mark-up value of 10%)
- waiting time for the button to appear
- haggling feature still available with more incentive (higher discount, chance to get for free lol)

I'd like to know your thoughts on this ^^

@twinkle I definitely agree with this but I guess it also has a danger of people buying out things too quickly from the shops?

While I can see a use for that (and would use it myself), I can also see a chance for abuse. With the current system, it prevents someone going in and clearing a shop in seconds.

On the haggling, I've found that I can go up to 10% below the price and it still be accepted. All those 5 and 10 ec savings eventually add up.

I can see the potential for abuse and that's certainly the downside of this ;u; Hmmm would an extra fee when auto-buy is used can somehow compensate the concern or maybe a time limit before the button appears? 😊

Extra fee wouldn't matter to "expensive" resellers. Those who buy for 1k and sell for 20k under the current system.

A time limit like at the Donation Centre, maybe. It would depend on the cool down period.

Thanks for the input! ^^ yeah expensive resellers for sure will take advantage unless the extra charge will be 2-3x the asking price. But with the time limit, it can definitely have a chance in prolonging their buying pace. I'm very open to any alterations to make it fair and anti-hoarding. I'm sorry if my english isn't good, it's not my primary language. I hope what I said makes sense ;u;

When I'm really tired that auto-buy option is really tempting.

However I too believe that having to type a number in is usually a great way to keep the shops from clearing out too fast (some people have found a way around this apparently.)

And honestly most of the time, I find the haggling to be fun. I like trying to get the best deal possible. (On one of the old computers I was borrowing I had even started a cheat sheet for the Travels.) - I recently started playing another virtual pet game and they have fixed prices. Most of the time I find it so boring just having one set price on items. I'm so used to the system here, i feel robbed of the chance to negotiate a better price. (Nevermind the site also gives a random percent off for an amount of time if you do enough buying. - still not the same though. That's just a discount. Haggling is mentally stimulating and involves math.)

@snowywinter That's understandable ^^ I definitely am for keeping the haggling option intact, and the auto-buy is just an option for those who don't like to haggle as much as I'm pretty sure there are times we're just too tired to type numbers or sometimes think of an estimated lower haggling price 😃

I usually haggle lol but i do see why this is very helpful for others
Like a new item, everyone want the first one in existence and heres where Auto buy comes in, no more typing weird specific numbers woo!
how much fee? like tax?

Cool! ^^ The fee should at least still encourage the haggling system while being able to give some deficit to those who want to auto-buy.

Sometimes I'll buy one of every item in the Toy Shop for questing, and this would make that so much smoother.

I also mass buy items that I think aren't on my stronghold yet or probably exhausted on the quests. Typing numbers is pretty inconvenient to my game experience. It's like doing CAPTCHA everytime I want to buy something ☹️
