The Search for Balance

When the four elements were created, Balance was formed and everything was peaceful. Soon then when an era of great love and happiness came about Spirit was created. She was as lovely as any creature under the sun and each spirit wanted her for themselves. Thus creating Discord as each of them were thrown from their jobs as "Keepers of Balance."
Spirit did not enjoy all of this fighting over her and grew weary of their competitions. She decided to bestow herself upon the men and the women of the Celestial Border. The Keepers of Balance were ashamed of themselves for letting Balance be overwhelmed by Discord and Balance reigned again.
However, when they realized that the men and women were becoming a united people and worshiping all of the Keepers instead of their own, they grew jealous of any other attention. They split the Celestial Border into four areas. And Air, Earth, Water, and Fire became the Keepers instead of one unified group.

The children of Air lived in the high mountains, breathing the pure air and cherishing each breath like it would be their last.
The Warriors of Fire lived next to the Great Volcano and on the side of the Great Crossing which is a large gap in the ground that was created long before. Loving the warmth and the heat of the Volcano they became prone to any breeze that dare blew
The daughters of water were nymphs that could dance and sing proudly, daring to express themselves in ways that other people would not. They laughed upon the water and possesed an amazing grace.
Lastly, the people of the Earth were creatures of stability and a foundation that they lived by. Rules were a thing that no one dared to break. The structure and the discipline was something that all the people of the Earth lived by and trusted.
Some people had an affinity for their given element and could call upon it to help them when needed, This was considered very rare and all infants were tested for this ability at birth.

During this time, and the progression of the Keepers in their quest of jealousy, Balance was soon forgotten and only a single thing kept Discord at bay. Which was Spirit, the single element that remain true to her cause, as a "Keeper of Balance"

It is said that if Spirit were lost in those who trusted their element more than anything then all was lost and Discord would awaken from it's sleep and wreak havoc upon the world. Which is why, even though the Legends are old, some people still choose to believe them.

The tribes of the old are more current now and don't ruse the religion and some of the practices as they used to.
The tribes have evolved and their language has too. Although they don't speak the same language, all of it is variations of the old and they can understand eachother fairly well when trading.

Quiet and collected, doesn't balk from a challenge and would happily face it head on. Loves to be in competitions as long as she'll win, and losing helps motivate her even more. She enjoys to listen to any type of music, preferably ones that come from windpipes hung outside of her door
Physical Description:
Middle height for her age and is almost as light as the air, although she's graceful enough to match a Water Nymph she is not a dancer, and quite a clutz, she can float through the air with ease and is most at home in the high altitudes where there is little to no oxygen.
Her body is specifically shaped for that type of weather and when she's on the ground, the more oxygen is almost suffocating to her.

WINDPIPES: are small flutes that are specially shaped to catch the wind. They open and close the holes depending on the wind speed and as the wind goes through them and they clink together they make a light noise like windchimes combined with the noise like a flute makes wiht different notes.

*Physical Description: Black, wavy hair that she always wears loose hangs down to her waist and fiery violet eyes make her different from everyone. She usually wears what she likes to call 'elf garments', which is actually a silk gown that drapes all the way to the floor. It is usually in earthy colours or colours related to nature, with an occasional violet on a good day.
Other Info: Arya is tormented by visions of her mother, who died when she was still very young. She was abandoned near the stream along with her sister, Acacia, and doesn't remember her mother's appearance very well, though she remembers how she cared for her very very well.

Beth climbed out of her underground cave home, and glanced around. In her hand was a bucket, presumably for water. She sauntered along a worn-out path, smiling slightly in the warm sunshine. Ahead there was a lovely little pond, a stream leading away from it into the forest. The pond, auctally pretty big, had a smaller waterfall rushing down into it. Frog and crickets and bugs and flowers gleamed and sang in the spring air. It really was a beautiful day. Beth dipped her bucket into the clear pond, filling it a third way up.

Altimina decided that she would take another walk. A trip up the mountain and then back down. She needed to clear her head. Her father hadn't allowed her in another meeting with the Council it was terrible, I was of age and the only descendant of my father, which then would be my rightful claim as a member of the Council. And I wasn't even allowed to watch the members discussing. I hiked up the mountain and felt better as soon as the cool air started to blow.

Anastasia hiked up to the volcano- well, as close as she could get to the volcano. She wanted to practice her fire skills again. They were fine, really, but they weren't as good as she thought they could be. Anastasia took a deep breath, and pulled igneous energy that was emanating from the volcano and converted it into actual fire. She shot rings of flames back into the volcano, practicing her aim.

Beth sat down and smelled a flower, her bucket full of water forgotten. She laid on her back, smelling the aroma of spring, enjoying herself. She saw random sprouts of fire at the top of the volcano, all seemingly trying to hit something. Somehow Beth knew that it wasn't dangerous, probably because it was too far away to worry about.

Rianee walked throughout the fields that surrounded the lands of her tribe, Terrementh. She brushed back her astonishing green hair out of her eyes, smiling sadly as she passed a few wilting flowers. She practiced with the earth surrounding her, brushing her bare foot lightly against the ground and thus lifting the earth a bit.

Anastasia quickly got frustrated at her terrible aim, and shot another ring of flames into the volcano. She screamed suddenly out of sheer anger and irritation, holding her head in her hands.

"Why can't... I... get... it... RIGHT?"

She screamed to herself, playing with a ball of flames she held in her hands.
