Beth shook her head, "That would be unsafe. Rianee, you're nearly fainting!" She took the young girls hand gently, wrapping her other arm around her in a half-hug and looked around, "Ugh, no food.. here, I'll see if I can get some water." Beth put her hand flat on the ground and closed her eyes, channeling a little bit of energy to draw fresh water to the surface. Soon, there was a large puddle, enough for everyone to have a good drink. Beth splashed some water onto Rianee's face.

Rianee stumbled into Beth, giving her a thankful look as she collapsed in a bed of soft earth. Wisps of mud streaked blonde hair obscured her view, but she managed to get a few drinks from the large puddle that rose from the ground.

Oliver felt the rumble of part of the island collapsing. He gasped, running to a window. His window had a stunning view of all the land, including the destroyed part of Terremeth. Oliver's hand flew to his mouth before he bolted downstairs and out the door with a bag of supplies. Only one thing filled his mind.
'Beth.'

Literally grabbing Silic on the way, his forehead beaded with sweat & not only from heat. He screamed Beth's name, running to the cluster of people and a large puddle of water. "Beth!"
Beth turned, "Oliver!" She stood up and smiled as he hugged her. "I'm alright, relax boy," Beth said alongside his chatter.
Oliver smiled, "Good." He hugged her one more time.
"I'm glad."

Rianee suddenly exclaimed, sitting up straight. The swift motion brought a wave of pain to her back and neck, but concern filled her robin's egg blue eyes. The old man could be irritable, but he had a good heart.

"Dave, you know... Dave!"

Rianee tried to say, confusion twisting her words. How could Beth forget him? He was her husband.

Oliver turned to run towards the direction of Beth's house. His
hand went to his mouth, covering a gasp. "Oh no."

Beth's house was directly under the landslide.
Completely gone, crushed, obliterated.
Poof.
Like a magician trick,
with Dave inside.
He ran back to hug Beth again, his eyes watery.
Beth had a confused look on her face. "What?"
Oliver turned to Silic, "Dave is Beth's husband of 63 years."
Beth blinked, eyebrows furrowed together. "What? I'm only 30!"
Oliver gasped, staring at Beth. "... Massive memory loss."
