Rianee sighed, disappointed that her peaceful tactics hadn't worked out with the stubborn Aquaina child. She shook out her long, blonde wavy hair and held out her palm to the ground. The earth shifted and sank below the Aquaina girl [Sita] and closed around her feet.

"I could always leave you here."

Rianee stared at the Aquaina nymph, evaluating her words and comparing them to the early bits and phrases she heard earlier. She cocked her head to one side and let her wispy, thin long hair fall in her eyes. It was like a shield, separating her from the world.

"Not from what I've heard. Maybe after a while they'll consider looking for you."

Rianee said simply, but then guilt washed over her pale features. She decided to let the nymph go, She outstretched her hand and the dry earth shifted and spat out the nymph distastefully.

"Leave."

Sita shook the dirt off her clothes. "Thanks." she snorted. "Thank a lot for making the earth eat me." she smiled a bit as if laughing at her own words. "And I am valuable. It's just that nobody has realized that yet." she put an emphasis on the word 'yet'. She sounded confident.

Acacia followed Sylvia's path by foot and, when she saw she was falling behind, called up a wave to ride and it took her up into the trees to face Sylvia.

Arya let her sister go, watching mournfully as the still young nymph escaped from her tribe. She wished she had as much courage as Acacia had, yet she knew that her tribe needed her and she could not abandon them. With a heavy heart, she turned around and started walking back to camp.
She almost fell with surprise when she saw Sita covered in dirt and appeared trapped.

Sita jumped when she saw Arya and waved her hand nervously. "Hi." She gulped. Pause.."It wasn't my fault, I swear!!" Sita burst out.

Sylvia turned around and found herself face-to-face with the other girl, Acacia. "Why are you here?" she hissed. "You don't know the price you'll have to pay if you become a loner"

Arya, not willing to sacrifice her tribe's self pride, said with as much conviction as she could muster "She is a valuable addition to our tribe. Maybe you just don't have the ability to see past your nose and know that every member of a tribe is valuable in their own way, Rianee! She might very well be one of the chosen ones. See past your own nose."

Acacia didn't stop following Sylvia "Sylvia, this is the life I want. I don't want overly pompous people telling me what to do. I want to lead my own life. You don't understand that, do you? I want to lead my own life!"

Rianee scoffed, and the earth sucked Sita back in.

"Look, Daughter of Aquaina, I can play my cards better then that ignorant fool. They think I'm that sweet little girl in the corner of the Tribe who can't bend anything worth their time."

Rianee rolled her eyes as the earth that held Sita's legs split in two, holding her legs apart.

"Back off."

Rianee hissed, her soft grey eyes clouded as the earth crumbled, releasing one of Sita's legs, and then moved over the Terrementh border before releasing the nymph.

Sita looked daggers at the Terrementh girl one more time. And, with her head held high, she sauntered back to Aquaina. She was steaming from the battle of words with that girl. "Everybody thinks I'm a piece of seaweed that keeps getting in their way," she thought, "Why don't they treat me like other people?" She scolded herself. "Woah, Sita. Now you're thinking like Lyndie." Lyndie was a daughter of Aquaina. She was the best at controlling the waves, but nobody knew that because when she was a little kid, she tripped and accidentally flooded the tribe. She began to get jealous of the daughter of the tribe leader, Kari, and tried to kill her. They exiled her. And this had all happened just one year before Sita was born. Lyndie was probably still alive... 😈

I might be Lyndie sometime 😈
