Rianee said, rising to her feet shakily. Her knees begged for mercy but she stumbled along, grabbing onto a nearby tree branch.

"Come on! What are you waiting for?"

Sita groaned and hauled herself to her feet. She shook herself twice and then climbed up a tree. "I can be a lookout." she offered.

"Lookout for what, rabid squirrels?"

Rianee asked, her tone bitter. She wasn't in the mood for laziness and wanted to just go to her home... Her home that happened to be destroyed.

"Beth? Mother? Dave? Father? Chance?"

Rianee called out Terrementh names in turn, taking in lungfuls of dusty air between names.

Beth groaned, dusty air billiowing out about her. She coughed, then heard her name. "Over... h-here.." she wheezed, her head painfully throbbing.

Sita heard a moan. She jumped down from the tree and ran towards it, Xi on her heels. She saw a body on the ground. "BETH!" she yelped, running faster and skidding to a stop at her side.

Rianee stumbled towards the limp figure crushed under the debris and dust. Helping Sita pull Beth out, Rianee grabbed a nearby branch to steady herself.

"Beth! Are you alright?"

"A rockslide. Right now we're looking for survivors. I was on the borders of Terreme th and managed to escape the worst."

Rianee explained, wheezing a bit. Her wispy blonde hair hung in ragged clumps held together with thick spots of dirt.

Sita once again brushed the dirt off of Beth and went to fetch some water while Xi watched over the rest of them, who were very weak (except for Jasper because he poofed away during the madness then poofed back XD)

Xi watched over the hills, ears and eyes alert. There was a very faint noise coming from over the hills. She growled.

"Listen to the speaking panther."

Rianee warned, taking quick cover. She shot a look at Jasper, who she knew was irresponsible and quite independent. Rianee threw a nod at the panther, Xi, as she molded the earth into a gentle shape for herself.

Xi walked along the edges of the cliff (were they on a cliff? XD) and saw the bushes rustle again. There were crows flying above their heads, but something was wrong with them. "They're not crows," Xi whispered, horrified, "They're spies." she dashed under a large rock, tail slashing. In the distance, Sita was running back towards them.

Rianee whispered, shock muddling her train of thought, creating a thick fog of confusion that wrapped around her mind. The black crows were waves of black in the dismal, pale blue sky.

Rianee asked, her own words reverberating loudly in her head, like the echo of bells on a crisp, winter night. Letters and words spun, dazed and confused, swirling aimlessly like a kaleidoscope, pools of colors and noises swarming her mind.
