Lilycoon Extinction?

What happened to the Lilycoon? I'm working on making a wishlist of pets that I am still looking for and I see that a pet called Lilycoon used to exist, but there is no page for it in the archives. Did all these pets go extinct or something? I would love to know what happened!

@natureluvr - It looks like the Lilycoon got renamed to the Rackalily at one point. Not sure when, and not entirely sure why either.

I feel like that must've been a recent change, last I saw one it went by the previous species name. I assume it was likely renamed due to the negative implications that the latter part of it's previous name has. The Raccyon species used to go by an old name as well, but was renamed due to similar negative implications.

@natureluvr that shocked me too when I went to look it up last month.

Personally I feel the censure is ridiculous. I understood Coona was a bad name, was shocked when i first seen it (and was long overdue for an overhaul), but I thought Lilycoon was way prettier and never seen a bad connotation with it. Just seen that one being named for the animal. The new name Rackalily grates on my nerves. (actually closer to negative stereotypes imo.)

But I too am assuming someone threw a stink about it.

If you look in the name search you can actually still find a few of the Lilycoon creatures with their original names ^^ (unless mods end up changing them.)
(I personally plan on continuing to refer to them as such.)
