I am currently in a long distance relationship so I definitely feel for you.. I believe that if you two truly love each other, you should try it yourself. It's kinda hard and it doesn't always work out but you will start to truly appreciate every moment you can spend together in real life. I have no idea how old you two are but I am sure you'll be able to make it work, plus there's always possible visits for holidays and such. Also there's tons of programs that make staying in touch so much easier (Skype/other IM programs). Finding something you can do together over computer helps a lot too. Just be creative and find what both of you like.

I really wish best of luck to both of you, I'm sure you'll manage to overcome it somehow. 😊
