Has anyone gotten a CRW by using the baiting feature?

What the title says. I'm just curious. I gave up trying baiting a long time ago, the amount of items spent on failures just wasn't worth it for the *checks notes* two times it actually worked. But I've seen that this week there have been the new CRW creatures in the baiting options, and I feel like CRW might be the only in-cave creatures I'd consider 'worth it' to try.

So, has anyone actually successfully baited a CRW creature this week?

I haven't been successful yet, but.....
I generally don't bait either unless I really want an offered creature, and I have to REALLY want it to bait in the initial attempts of the day. (I have a routine and resist change, baiting throws out my rhythm). Mainly LE's or specific dates and the such.

In saying that, I did try 5 or 6 times on day 2, until I ran into an item no one had in their shop, and I only had one of in my strongroom. So, I stopped as I feel the item would be better "spent" on a potential quest that guarantees a reward.

I'll do the same today. Go until I get bored or run into a request I don't feel is worth the gamble.

I once spent all 10 attempts baiting and got none of the creatures that I baited for! I think the chance improvement is very marginal, especially since there are so many creatures available in the cave. I think that it might be better in crw only because you get so many attempts, but I don't think it's worth using your items when you can use them for questing 😋

Slight update.....
I did about another 5ish attempts on the day that they one showed up again with no success.

Honestly, I feel I was luckier with the Dailies Wheel. I at least got one there. (No monthlies, but got a Kenarvig the day after they were released)

@heatherm19 Hi, this might be a dumb question but what is baiting? I tried to find it myself, but I'm not sure if I'm looking in the wrong place, I can't find any info anywhere ^^;

@auvember Hi! I had to double-check and it seems baiting only shows up for verified main accounts, meaning you won't see it if you haven't verified your account (some info on that here: https://eggcave.com/help/sides).

Basically you can use items at the cave for an increased chance of getting certain creatures, but it's a very tiny increase that isn't really worth it imo.

@heatherm19 Thank you, that explains it. I have verified my account, but it hasn't been a month yet, so that's why I couldn't find it ^^
