Silic ran as fast as she could, 'Why?' she thought. 'Why was I chosen?'
***LINE BREAK 😸*** A week before~
"There will be a big storm soon so be careful. They say that the storm-" Silic turned off the newscast. "Big storm *pfft* yea right."
She said, throwing the remote on the couch. "Mom! I'm going out for a walk!" She cried up the stairs. She knew her mom was going to say 'Just be careful! The news say that there's going to be a storm!' It was too obvious.
She walked out the door with a blue tee and black shorts. Halfway down the block, (It was a long one too) she heard thunder and lightning struck the car next to her. Miraculously, she didn't get hurt (Cuz I'm just that awesome xD) and she started to run back. "Looks like the weather was right for once. Dang" She said, when red droplets began raining on her.
"What the-?" she said, stopping in her tracks. The droplets began to swarm around her as she cried for help.
***REMEMBER!:each character beginning is different of how the red droplets swarm them!***

Anastasia switched on the radio. It fuzzed then spoke in a muffled voice. It was that cheesey news caster again. " ... there were no survivors. In other news a tornado is coming in from the west so brace yourselves and-" It went to fuzz again. It always did that. Anyways, there were always tornados in Kansas. Why would this one be any different? Anastasia had to go get groceries, ever since her parents died she was living on her own in a old building with dim lighting and poor power. She braced herself for a burst of wind but there was none. She walked to the store and was surprised to see no one. Then a swarm of red bees came flying at her, no, they weren't bees. They were red raindrops, almost blood. " What? WHAT THE- " She blacked out.

Ever since the day of the red rain, everything has changed for me. The government has been after me ever since.Ever since I found out I had a power.
***LINE BREAK TROLOLOLOL*** 2 days ago.
"All children caught in the storm 5 day ago please report to the dean's office." Said the dean through the intercom.
I looked around only to see no one standing up. 'Well, I guess I'm the only one.' I thought, as I stood up and walked out the door.
As I arrived, I heard the dean talking on the phone. "Yes, I send all the children who got caught in the storm to your court..... Well, that's not guaranteed, they're probably- No! No, of course not! Yes, I'll be sure to send every last one of them. I'm sure they'll be very a very useful addition to the US army, oh but don't forget your side of the deal. You get the children and I get 4 grand."
After that, I rushed out of the building.

As I was in my black out memories come to me.

"Nectorine?" Someone said. "Yes mom-" then a bang. I ran to it and I see my mother dead. She was the only one that was left. I cried I didn't have anyone to go. She was dead now and my dad was on death row just a year ago. Two people were after me. We ran past the river by my house. I screamed and I jump into the river. I didn't get a drop on me instead I was riding the a small wave to the other side.

The dean himself was running towards her. 'Crap.' Silic thought. "Hey! Get back here!" He shouted. "AS IF!" She screamed back. She reached out her hand as if trying to retrieve something. Then there was a flash of light before she disappeared into the darkness.
She reached the alley only to find a dead end. Silic turned around the see the dean looking in the alley. 'I'm screwed.' She thought as she braced herself, thinking to somehow protect herself from him. But instead the dean said "What? How could she get away that fast?" Silic released her arms and looked at him in confusion. 'How can he not see me?' She thought. She opened her mouth to speak only to realize that she couldn't. She had became mute. 'Could.. Could I actually have became a shadow?' She thought. She tried putting out her hand again, then a flash of white light signaled as she became human 'again'.

EDIT: AH CRAP. I PUT IT IN 1ST POV >:| GOING TO FIX IT. IT'S SO CLICHE
