Anyone have any idea why eggcave is suddenly refusing clicks from yarold's click exchange?
gvantsa • 15 November 2011 at 12:31 AM
o.O Huh? Refusing? What do you mean? The links are working fine for me. Do you mean they are not displaying or something?
cubexline • 15 November 2011 at 12:45 AM
I know why, this has been happening with another site as well. Google has blocked websites like these, if you can give me about 5-10 minutes to find out exactly what I can find.http://www.petadoptables.com/forums/index.php/topic/3900-third-party-click-exchanges-blocked/Scan through that, ignore the debate, not sure if it'll help, they dont know much either, but it seems like we wont be able to use yarolds nor hyrda again.

Eh. Yarolds wasn't thatt great, haha.
evolutary • 15 November 2011 at 1:07 AM
Well, that's great. <.<
cubexline • 15 November 2011 at 1:08 AM
I dont think its yarolds, but I could be wrong...
gvantsa • 15 November 2011 at 1:10 AM
That link that talks about it has a lot of debate on there... is this a new rule by Google or something? -_-
cubexline • 15 November 2011 at 1:12 AM
I know, they had a big issue, but some info in is there. I think so, I'll let you guys know anything if I find anything out.
gvantsa • 15 November 2011 at 2:05 AM
Awesome thanks. It would really be a disappointment if we can no longer use Yarolds. I quit Egg Cave a long time ago. It was Yarolds that brought me back. I started using Yarolds for another site and saw people with their Egg Cave eggs... it made me want to check out what's going on here, what was new, and I have been here ever since. It's thanks to Yarolds I returned. It has a special connection to me. I'm sure it brought a lot of new players here too. Maybe even other older players.

Ok to clear up some facts. Google is not blocking Yarolds at all.As far as the other site cubexline refers too, they are still allowing links from other exchange sites, so I find it very hard to believe that other site is blocking any sites for the reason they are stating publicly.I am yet unaware of why eggcaveis blocking yarolds (only). Im hoping an admin will shortly provide an answer.regardsDemonicJ Admin of Yarolds

@demonicj Thank you for responding on this topic. Your site have been a great help and fun for all years I used it and I really hope that @Ian will resolve the problem quickly.
gvantsa • 15 November 2011 at 10:32 AM
Thanks @demonicj

Woops, never mind! Got it, sorry for that guys :/
Zac • 15 November 2011 at 10:52 AM
Actually, I believe it IS an issue with Google. Ther Adsense Terms and Conditions apparently state something along the lines of click exchanges not being permitted as they give increased impressions and therefore revenue. I don't have all the facts so don't quote me on this, but I believe that's why Yarolds has been blocked. We're looking for alternate solutions, however. So hang with us. đ
anori • 15 November 2011 at 10:54 AM
@ZacIf that is the case why Yarolds is not blocked at all - all other links MyMiniCity/virtuadopt/valenth and others are working fine o.o Only eggcave isn't.
Zac • 15 November 2011 at 11:01 AM
Here is the excerpt I found:"To ensure a positive experience for Internet users and Google advertisers, sites displaying Google ads may not: Use third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf and click-exchange programs."As far as I know, the sites you mentioned do not use the Google Adsense program. However, I'll state again that this may not be permanent and we are actvely looking for solutions and alternatives.

Umm... but *my* links are getting clicks on Yarolds. o.O I have 3 of my pets there right now, and their click stats are continuously rising...This whole thread makes me nervous. :-| I find Yarolds very helpful. It'd be a pity if it stopped working.Maybe this whole issue has been cleared up now...
anori • 15 November 2011 at 11:21 AM
@Zac Ahh I understand now but as peppermintcowboy stated somehow 4 pets that I have on Yarolds are getting clicks... O.o not as much as usual and I don't believe they are gaining feeds... and I still get the "Forbidden" error every time I am clicking eggcave link... but This is all weird. Hope this will be resolved soon. And thank you @Zac for your interest and help ^^. It would be sad If Yarolds stopped working for eggcave - I use also Hydra and eggcavern click exchange but still It would be a pity.
Zac • 15 November 2011 at 11:28 AM
I'm not sure why that's happening but I don't know Ian's methods either so I can't answer about the links, hah.I'd hate for them to be banned as well, so hopefully we'll be able to find a solution for everybody. đ
peppermintcowboy • 15 November 2011 at 11:42 AM
If a creature needs feeds, I put them on the EggCavern exchange. If they need clicks, I put them on Yarolds. It's a nice system. đ
demonicj • 15 November 2011 at 3:51 PM
@zacHere is the excerpt I found:"To ensure a positive experience for Internet users and Google advertisers, sites displaying Google ads may not: Use third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf and click-exchange programs."Yarolds is not a click exchange site to generate anything as described in that excerpt

I just made an account xDThen I saw this...

This started for me yesterday and continues to today. My credits get eaten up on yarold's still, but my eggs are not growing as fast as before, like @anori has mentioned. And since I keep track of the growth rate of my registered eggs, this is true. Also, thanks everyone for your helpful comments. Like most of you I do hope this gets cleared up somehow. Yarold's was my primary source of clicks and made raising my creatures all the more enjoyable here.
plookle • 15 November 2011 at 10:35 PM
I'm sure Ian is doing what he believes is best, and I'm certain that this will work out to some sort of fair conclusion. If there is any threat of legal action from Google, than Ian is completely justified and correct in his deactivation of Yarolds. However, this is how I am reading the excerpt. "To ensure a positive experience for Internet users and Google advertisers, sites displaying Google ads may not: Use third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf and click-exchange programs."It seems to me that this is referring to a SITE that employs the aforementioned methods to gain artificial clicks. As in, the management of the site directs to their home page, sign up page, etc in order to gain traffic and clicks. This does not appear, to me, to be applicable to individuals who use click exchanges as a means to further their stats on such sites, as their motives are entirely separate. I think that if this is indeed referring to individual users, and seeing that most every popular adoptables/ click forwarded site uses google ads, a legal problem would have arisen long ago for a service such as Yarolds.
demonicj • 16 November 2011 at 4:45 AM
@plookleyou made the most valid point there. Yarolds does not exist in the terms google uses, to increase as impression & therefore revenue. If you read it otherwise, any third party site/forum (use of signatures at other forums/sites for example) would be deemed in the same catergory.BTW why are clicks still coming through without any issue from another click exchange site
peppermintcowboy • 16 November 2011 at 2:25 PM
Not gonna lie - I'm lost without Yarolds. This is so frustrating. As my credits disappear there, only about half are showing up on my Egg Cave click stats... and soooooo slooooowlyyyyy. âšī¸Can anyone recommend another click exchange site?
cubexline • 16 November 2011 at 3:09 PM
@peppermintcowboy: You can try hydra
Deleted • 16 November 2011 at 3:47 PM
@cubexlineI have been trying to access that site for the past 3 months. I can't get in. All I get is a message telling me I have clicked a cashe copy of the web page each and every time. Do you have a link that will work?
cubexline • 16 November 2011 at 3:48 PM
@siri: try this, it should take you to a login page.http://www.idarionis.com:9500/index.php
