After having received many, many suggestions regarding this we have finally released a Username Change Terminal for 200 CC in the Cash Shop Park. It does exactly what you might expect it to do: change your existing account's username without having to register a brand-new account.
Things like your account creation date (and everything else) are preserved when you use this item. Limit one use every 30 days.

I'd love to change mine, but I've had the same name for so long that nobody would know who I am anymore and it'd feel so lonely D:

I wish we could claim abandoned usernames ;~; there are two I really want that haven't been active for 4 and 6 years and I just Dx
