Should have just stopped the gobblers dropping on the day of the glitch instead of resetting everyone's points to zero. Some of us stay up long hours for days just hunting on here

Here we go again. ✨ But seeing as many don't like the event's format, I'm hoping staff will take into consideration making some quality of life changes maybe next year...? Maybe allow us to find gobblers randomly but also while feeding or by activities? 😊

@bellacyg unfortunately we don't keep a timestamp of when users find Gobblers so we weren't able to do something like that. The issue has been fixed for all future hunts though, so this won't happen again.

Despite this reset, the Gobblers hunt as it is now is not a good format to me. I prefer the way it was some years ago, where they could be found randomly at any click, not with some time gap, as it is now. I think it should be renewed at all for next year.

I'd love to see a more accessible way to get the LE creature- I usually give up on it since top 100 is unrealistic for me (and many others) especially with more active users on site each year. Maybe something like the egg hunt where you have to find a certain amount of Gobblers.

@emeritus - No, you don't need to verify in order to see Gobblers. I'm not verified and I've always been able to hunt them just fine. (Unless I'm misunderstanding your comment? Sorry if so.)

A little "hack" for the busy people: If you can play on mobile, set the screen to go dark after 2 minutes. When it dims it's time to refresh a page and look. : ) (I can keep working on my other tasks without my workflow interrupted & not needlessly check before it's ready.)

@snowywinter it depends on the user's work or task in realife. Some are just not able to use their phone or computer. The top 100 needs to be adjusted to let's say top 200-300

Unless you're on EC 24/7, it's definitely a heavy event. Even If I'm on pc and I'm working on something else or just reading or playing a game, breaking all activities every 2 min to refresh is annoying. Maybe make one gobbler span every 15 mins? 🤔

I'm so tempted to just not participate this year, I already hate the gobbler hunt for how long and exhausting it is but this just took all the wind out of my sails. ☹️

Not our fault that the game glitched but yet we all get punished. I'm out, not going to waste my time with this hunt any longer.

We're not being 'punished'. The leaderboard numbers were out-of-whack and made it unfair for those in a lot of timezones who weren't there to take advantage of a glitch. I get that some people have busy lives, but we're still in the first week of November.

The point of busier lives making it harder is why I'm in support of having prizes for reaching certain thresholds of Gobblers alongside the top 100 leaderboard with the CC prize.

I enjoy the Gobbler hunt in it's current and past forms. If my memory is correct, I even enjoyed the hunt before life allowed me to start making the leader board (back when it was only 500CC for the top 50). I enjoy all the events for their differences. (1/2)

(2/2)While the reset was a little sad, it was only 3 days we lost. Plus I feel it was the correct thing to do. I have bigger things to complain about in my life. I'm also getting the feeling with the amount of people quitting the event, my place on the new leader board is safer.

Wanted to thank @everyone for the wonderful advice. I'm just aiming to find 100 gobblers per day, but with the advice I'm finding it less heavy for sure! ✨ I think I'll still miss the older format, but If people like the new one, it's all good. ^^

@sparklefox certain prizes for thresholds of the leaderboard could be so cool actually, I really like this idea
