Gobblers weren't "broken" on mobile devices per se, but they had an increased likelihood and chance of appearing off screen than on screen versus viewing Egg Cave from desktop. This issue has been fixed and Gobblers will appear in the normal viewport for phones, tablets, and mobile devices.
As a reminder, refreshing endlessly around the site does not speed up the appearance of Gobblers for any accounts. Gobblers is a time-based event.

VERY appreciative of making gobblers more likely to appear on-screen on mobile devices. However the new change of not being able to open them in a new tab is cumbersome while feeding. So is having them disappear if you leave the page (going back no longer works. : ( )

@snowywinter ughhh I didn't realise you couldn't open them in new tabs anymore that's kinda frustrating :") they still appear for me when i go back tho? or maybe i just took too long to press the back button that another one spawned 💀

Please fix the change where if you accidentally go to a different page while you have a Gobbler, then go back it disappears. Did not used to be like that.

yesh! what @/newlife said // p.s. also annoying now having to confirm on 'found/no gobbler here' page (mobile only) I want to refresh (after at least 1 min has passed.) I use that page specifically so i don't forget why I'm looking at the tablet.

@snowywinter agreed ahah, i suspect that's harder to change bc it's a side effect of using post afaik, i might just switch to oasis or smth. also a gobbler did disappear for me just before, so idk what's up with that. sometimes it's there when i go back, sometimes it isn't

I'm using the desktop PC and got the scroll bar on the right side of the screen. Some gobblers hide almost under it and can't be clicked and barely seen. Does it happen to anyone else and can it be fixed?

@suzanab I had one that was squished and distorted (against the right side) on desktop, and that didn't happen before this most recent change. (Windows OS, Firefox browser)

I'm having issues where the gobbler is on the page however I'm unable to see it, when I switch to mobile to desktop or desktop to mobile it appears but then before I can click it, it disappears again, this has happened multiple times now

I thought I was having issues with my PC when I can't open the turkeys in new tabs but I see it's prolly a few "feature". Is it really so hard to give us something without taking something else away?? >.>

Going back a page to click a missed Gobbler still seems to be working fine for me (though I'm probably going to jinx it for myself now).

Now I want a float. :') @snowywinter I thought it was just me! I'm glad others are having the same issue with "confirm form resubmission" and opening the Gobbler in a new tab. Definitely an inconvenience ^^' But I appreciate the staff fixing some issues on mobile ❤️

@suzanab I just had that same issue. Gobbler hidden beneath the scroll bar. Had to zoom out from the page to see it.

"Gobblers is a time-based event." If I got it right, even if you're very VERY lucky you can only find 60 per hour; is that correct? Doesn't that make the whole thing a bit unfair for people who simply can't play for hours and hours? D:

Yay! Started reliably finding gobblers today in portrait orientation on the tablet! - Still unfortunately unable to go back for missed ones. : ( (Still occasionally having ones missing from page altogether, but it's more like 1 in 20-150 compared to 4 of 5.)
