It's September: Welcome Our New Tree Creatures

September 1, 2020 at 12:00 AM

September Is About Trees

Welcome to September at Egg Cave! September, as you might've guessed, is all about trees of all kinds. Welcome our new tree creatures to the land of Ark!

Cash Shop Monthlies

This month's Cash Shop Monthlies are the Surtle and Peasuma! They're inspired by the bonsai tree and sumatran trees of the rainforests respectively. Find them in the Cash Shop through the rest of the month.

Cave Monthlies

There are also new tree creatures growing in the Cave. This is the Firson—based on the Douglas fir tree—and Bearwood, inspired by the redwoods. Which is your favorite?

Write For The Weeping Willow Tree

This weeping willow themed tree will be released in the Cash Shop later this month. Submit your entry today as part of the Creature Description Writing Contest. The author of the chosen description will receive the first of its kind.

I really love the teen stages of the bearwood and peasuma. ;w;

cheetah • 1 Sep 2020, 12:09 AM

bearwood middle stage is super cute

marner • 1 Sep 2020, 12:18 AM

Love the Bearwood!

complexum • 1 Sep 2020, 2:20 AM

so many great colors!

sparklefox • 1 Sep 2020, 3:15 AM

Pretty unique creatures. I like the CSP ones a little more than the cave ones, especially the Surtle.

ashkito • 1 Sep 2020, 3:33 AM

Nah I like the monthlies more XD I’m a huge bull and bear fan, I don’t see why people like trees XD

wavypavy • 1 Sep 2020, 3:52 AM

hm, I like the bearwood

csp creatures are super neat

silvershadow • 1 Sep 2020, 6:41 AM

the bearwood is now my most favourite thing ever thanks

idol • 1 Sep 2020, 7:53 AM

Hm.. Me personally I'm really mot a fan of the first stage is ONLY an object.. Theb the aninal just "appears" there.. Seems less like a creature evolution then judt forced stages together to me.. But eh I like the Surtle the best.

idol • 1 Sep 2020, 7:54 AM

Like sometimes not egery creatire I feel has to have 3 stages.. Or is that a thing that just HAS to be a thing..

pwuffy • 1 Sep 2020, 10:06 AM

^ agree completely. its actually been several years since there's been a creature with less than 3 stages iirc! no idea why thats the case, sometimes less is more lol.. anyway, the bearwood is cute but i'm not super huge on these monthlies, but eh thats ok.

pwuffy • 1 Sep 2020, 10:11 AM

also some feedback that could maybe be passed on to the artists (ive noticed it in months prior as well) when attempting to draw a large creature the details are often drawn very small & get lost. its very hard to tell what the peasuma is even supposed to be

pouncessoftly • 1 Sep 2020, 10:15 AM

I love the Surtle - Bonsai are really interesting to care for, I have a couple of them myself. The teen stage of the Peasuma is beautiful too, and I also really like the teen stage of the Bearwood .. but the child "stump" stage kind of makes me a bit sad for some reason. ^^;

_piano_pokemon_ • 1 Sep 2020, 11:05 AM

Not a big fan of this months but if I had to pick I'd go with the turtle and bear. They are still pretty cool though just not my taste

frankenstein • 1 Sep 2020, 11:35 AM

Aw, I love the Firson

asbe • 1 Sep 2020, 11:45 AM

Turtles indeed are popular here.

iris1929578 • 1 Sep 2020, 12:28 PM

woah! these are cute, especially the csp ones

idol • 1 Sep 2020, 12:32 PM

I agree with Pwuffy. I mean we only know its a "peacock" like bird because of the colors but I feel like it lags detail now and makes me want to squint my eyes to look at it.

idol • 1 Sep 2020, 12:34 PM

@pwuffy Remember when creature suggestions were completely rejected if the design was not SIGNIFICANTLY different than the previous stage. Just changing the way they sit, move their head or just being a little larger NEVER used to fly! Lol

piucca • 1 Sep 2020, 1:35 PM

I like the slime tree lady They all look lovely.

brookie • 1 Sep 2020, 1:44 PM

Love the Surtle!

hinokazes • 1 Sep 2020, 1:50 PM

Ah, I prefer the cave pets, so I'm happy because I can get them ^^

sprite • 1 Sep 2020, 2:00 PM

While I love tees and the concept is unique the art is lacking for me. It's a bit flat and dark.

dragonnn • 1 Sep 2020, 2:55 PM

Cool concepts. I admire the sense of scale in the Peasuma's 3rd stage, but I wish I could see its bird body more clearly. I will assume it looks as it does in its 2nd stage.

jlya • 1 Sep 2020, 3:37 PM

Can't wait for that purple willow! Kind of like the Peasuma and Surtle, but don't really think I want to spend 1000CC on them

spell • 1 Sep 2020, 4:52 PM

The concepts are cool even though I'm not the biggest fan of the art-style. However, the Peasuma looks ridiculously compressed in its last stage - if it wasn't for its name/teen stage, I wouldn't even know what it was ^^"

yogurt • 1 Sep 2020, 8:55 PM

All the baby hatched stages should not have been there and all the creatures would have been better lol theyre not even creatures. If there a rule now that monthlies should have 4 stages? Why force it

seraph • 1 Sep 2020, 9:24 PM

the teen stage of the Surtle is so cute, I might freeze a creature for the first time. Also I don't get the Weeping Willow Tree, will we start to get objects as creatures now? :0

idol • 1 Sep 2020, 11:02 PM

I don't mind if objects are creatured and stuff. I just think every stage should have a difference in them. That is the whole purpose of them being stages right? just my opinion. I also want it to be a creature or thing of some kind.. With.. A face ?

idol • 1 Sep 2020, 11:04 PM

I also want to point out I loooove the egg of the beat pet but the whole design agter you can't see the beautiful color of swirls in it hardly at all. Maybe that's just because I'm on mobile. But it is just a little disappointing the design disappears

pegasasu • 2 Sep 2020, 8:49 AM

Bearwood is really pretty

magenta • 2 Sep 2020, 12:37 PM

a little disappointed in this month's creatures to be honest like what others have pointed out the art style is a too dark to see details and not scaled well and this is the 3rd turtle csp we've gotten in the past couple months :/ hopefully next month will be more creative

idol • 2 Sep 2020, 2:26 PM

@magenta I didn't even realize we had so many turtles until I looked

calenlass • 2 Sep 2020, 10:02 PM

All these cash shop thingies is making me broke. I seriously don't know how much longer I can afford this game. I know people'd say don't have to get the csp but this game is to collect every creature we can. And that 'pay xtra 200ec for cove space added' is beyond stupid.

iia • 3 Sep 2020, 11:43 AM

Whats with the turtle tree shells. Just had one like 2(?) months ago!

stefrawr • 6 Sep 2020, 12:53 PM

these creatures are so neat this month
