It could work. I know of another site that does this, but you can only trade do it once a month, and only up to 20 (which was the equivalent of $2 USD if I remember correctly). I think every 20 is 500k or so, but since EC is very very abundant that'd be too much. I'd say like 10 CC for every 5 mil s...

The main reason is that retired creatures should stay retired, and all of sudden, people who traded for rare creatures would be mad because they could easily get them and value would drastically drop. Would it be reasonable for creators of a creature to automatically get one of their creations? I don't know about other people, but I would be proud to be picked and would be delighted if I was able to automatically receive one of my creatures as a momento.

I know about the moral dilemma. I can't decide for you, but I did get a user angry on me cuz I traded on the creature I won in competition. I'm sure that kind of situations happen, but the site is big enough and you could probably avoid any further contact.
