@balletninja
But it really can't be helped.
As long as there are people buying, Ian isn't going to change anything.
Why should he if he's making money to run the site?
Just because a few people declare it's unfair?

@Ian

Thanks for posting your opinion and some info =]. What are your thoughts on the 3 Cash Shop creatures each month? They are too expensive, and a lot of us really do want them...as stated before, it makes this site a lot less "free" even though we aren't required to buy them. Would you...

Newbies are basically people that are 'new' to a site.

It isn't always based on account age. Sometimes there are some older accounts that don't know much & some people with newer accounts are just starting over. Hopes that explain some stuff ^-^

taffy789 • 15 August 2011 at 12:29 PM

@linpug - I don't think it's rude. XP

@jaidyn - I think that you're not a newbie when you learn alot about the site.
Like creature values, ecodes, ect.
Also when alot of peole get to know you. ^^

@maineen Yup, I once got a tine for two CC's; Melani. You are sorta like a mini me, except the whole site knew about my hunt. I had an onny hunt after that, then a tine hunt. And whoop-de-beetle-doop. I am here.

In I'M ON AN EPIC SEARCH FOR A TINE(which is not fully evolved)

thursdays_dove • 15 August 2011 at 12:00 AM

@james-bond - I like it! An egg that takes two years to hatch? Oh man. I'll take on that challenge. 😃

I also like the "not found" search feature.

@Balletninja

But you do not need to buy the Monthlies, do you?
It IS a free site though.

@wispa I think that is what you are agreeing to as you buy one though..

But I think, eggcave isn't such an innocent little free site after all.

I like a lot of these ideas. The search feature would also be nice for people who just don't want to be found. 😊

I even like the egg that takes two years to hatch. It would be like a loyalty perk. People who've been on for two years would get one and then in another two years they'll hatch! 😃

I actually don't think we should have something that separates the users. Some, like on this other website I'm on, get ego boosts.

I think everyone should stay blue - cause I've been almost on this site for two years and would be newb status if this was implemented. [2 weeks old]

But, that's my...

I like this idea. I could see this feature being really useful before making a suggestion on the forums. That way you wouldn't post something that has already been suggested. Yes, I'm too lazy to read through all the forums. 😋

Egg Cave was experiencing site server issues earlier this month. But it appears that most of them have been resolved recently. Have you noticed any unusual slowness recently?

@bluegirl80
I don't understand...
Why do you want a creature to be rare?
Almost everyone on Eggcave bases a critter's worth on rarity.
Not because you actually like it.
I mean, in some cases it can be both.
But I'd rather have a critter I like not to be rare, so I can have one more easily and see it...

Recently since Egg Cave has grown and had a lot of site events (with CSP creatures) and now Cash Shop Monthlys, we recognize the increasing need to keep Cave and CSP creatures balanced. And right now, they are becoming unbalanced. We know.

To compensate for this, we plan to release Cave creatures...
