*getting new members to eggcave via another site* 😈

joy • 24 February 2011 at 10:34 PM

The banners can be annoying, but it's good to know that we are able to help keep Egg Cave alive with them. 😸

I wonder if there will be a feature in the future to pay once to permanently remove the banners. I've seen some sites remove advertising when people donate, I think it's a rather nice idea.

evilyowling • 23 February 2011 at 1:30 AM

@Zac this site sounds awesome 😊 You know what I would add to it though an egg checklist (for members) so you can check off the eggs you have!

And an viewery where theres an page just for view eggs to be shown (if you submit your egg) And they swap around in order randomly 😃

But this is what I w...

I don't think so, no. If you log out and try to go to any page on the beta, it appears as: The page you have requested cannot be found. Perhaps you were directed here in error. Click here to return home.

So if you want to advertise creatures, it's best to use the main site (remove new. from the url...

Im glad you guys mentioned the wiki, I think itd ve really awesome to have info on all the creatures and travels as well as important events, history, and people (aka Ian 😋). Anything I'm missing? 😊

@thepells4 I was thinking to make a tool in which people input names they'd like to have and our s...

Orderedchaos • 16 February 2011 at 7:02 PM

If I'm going to a fan site it's because I'm looking for information. So the most important thing in my eyes is an in depth wiki. *tosses in 2 cents*

Zac • 15 February 2011 at 10:04 PM

Hi all,

I've decided to take the plunge and am deciding whether or not to open a fansite. But none of that webs.com business... the real deal. 😋

Anyways, I'm doing a little research. Do you guys think that fansites are useful, and if so, what kind of things would you like to see. The sky's the li...

Zac • 1 February 2011 at 5:32 PM

The key to running a popular website is to offer something that everyone else doesn't have. (Information, secrets, etc.) For example, my Egg Viewer is getting over 250 unique visits every day because its the only one of its kind. 😊

I would check out other sites to see what they offer... and then t...

thepells4 • 1 February 2011 at 5:06 PM

I made my very own Eggcave fansite! Go there and join! It will get better soon!

http://ultimateeggcavers.webs.com/

Does anyone have any feedback on my site? I really wanna know! 😸

Zac • 1 February 2011 at 4:03 PM

@thepells haha, that might've been me, when I was searching for one. Though, I don't think I made noobish offers.... O_O

I dislike every single user who asks me for Gobblers with a passion... some users have actually confronted me and told me that I was being extremely unfair by keeping so many and...

elluwah • 1 February 2011 at 11:59 AM

I'm so glad you've mentioned this.
Normally, with a quick glance at an egg's profile, you can easily see if it needs to be put with Tim. Whereas in V2, the numbers don't jump out of the page. It would help SO much if the "happiness bar" aspect of the site was carried into V2.

So basically...

@thepells4 xD No, I mean like the people who won't let you adopt any eggs from them unless you are a year old xD
The talk of the site, eh? Don't keep your head too high there, girlie. XD

thepells4 • 29 January 2011 at 2:02 PM

@pwuffy Ok... "aged"... XD Lol, no one "respects" me, im just the talk of the site and fun to be around. 😋
