Cam took a few steps along the bottom of the ravine then winced in pain. There didn't seem to be any damage except bruises but his leg hurt when he put weight on it. On trying to take another step his leg gave out and he hit the ground.
He wasn't going to give up that easily.
Scowling with determination, he used the sides of the ravine to support him and he made his way gingerly along the narrow passage.
A fair distance in there was a turn in the path. He turned the corner and a fierce bright light flared, blinding him. He shielded his eyes with a hand but as quickly as it had appeared the light burnt out, and the ravine was reduced to it's normal dim light trickling down from the canopy far above him.
Cam blinked and stepped forward, his pain forgotten.
A strange... Oval-sphere was lying on the ground. It was a grayish white in color but possessed a strange luminous luster which convinced Cam that this object was what the light had came from.

Amdis saw someone down and the ravine and yelled, "Do you need any help." His egg started to shake and crack. When the egg had broken, a young goldish colored griffen emerged. "Maybe I can ride it when I'm older," Amdis thought out loud.

Cielia stared down at the egg once she got out. "UHG! WHY WON'T THE STUPID EGG HATCH?" She screamed, stamping on the ground in the process.

Enthralled, Cam held out one hand, shivering with anticipation, and reached forward to touch the egg.
Before he made contact though, he jerked his hand back and eyed the sphere distrustfully. It had a pure, untainted aura. He couldn't allow that to lower his guard. Who knows what this was.
He knelt down and retrieved a small rock from the ground, and dropped it onto the egg.
Nothing happened.
Feeling dumb, he touched the egg then withdrew his hand quickly.
He blacked out.

@pirateseaz - What is the world they live in like? Small villages, mountains, forests, ect? And do the people wear just oldtimey clothes or whatever? X) And what's going on right now, like, problems? Evil people?

Sarah climbed out of the ravine with little difficulty, the weight of the egg pressing into her back.
"What IS this thing?" Sarah asked herself outloud.
She sighed, this day has been too weird so far. She decided just to head home... which was the forest. She had run away from home when she was only fourteen, and had lived in the forest ever since.

The plot is that we all meet and raise out creatures to adulthood, yes the theme and layout is medieval. There are no villains or problems (yet) and everything is peaceful. @taffy789

Sarah jerked her head back to look at the kid who had spoken to her.
"Oh... hello, I guess." Sarah replied, and looked at the small kid. (She's older than him, so yeah. XD)
She usually met people in the woods, but they never paid her any attention. Thiefs, and stuff.
"Hey, kid, haven't your parents ever told you not to talk to strangers while walking in the forest? 'Member what happened to Little Red? She gotten EATEN. I could be a thief for all your know."
Sarah paused. Actually, she WAS a thief. But not a well known or bloody one. She just silently stole pieces of bread and coins from pockets from the near-by town. By she wasn't going to mug a kid. No, her morals hadn't droped THAT low. ...Yet.
"Kid, i could MUG you right now, so, yeah, better scamper back off into the town." Sarah said, and started to walk away from the kid once again.

Sarah backed up from the sword, but tried not to look suprised.
"Oh, kid with a sword, how.... cute." Sarah mocked.
" Listen kiddo, I can't bother with you right now." Sarah winked. "I have my own... important bussiness to take care of."
She pulled out her knife and started to pick her teeth with it, in attempt to look tough.
She smiled, and left the kid where kid where he stood.

A dull pain in his head woke Cam up. Blinking his eyes open and judging from the strange angle of the ground, he guessed correctly that he had been knocked out, and for several hours, taking the lighting into account. He picked himself up and immediately thoughts of the sphere flowed into his mind. He recalled being overwhelmed with a bittersweet, melancholy feeling, the flavor of honey and milk on his tongue, the scent of freshly cut grass in the air, and an all-powerful tiredness which he had succumbed to without a second's resistance. Had all of that came from a simple touch of this sphere? He wondered.
But the sphere was gone. All that remained was a few fragments of something Cam could only identify as eggshell, and a strange... Creature. Cam's eyes widened and he backed away cautiously.
It had a long face, fluffy ears, it's eyes were closed. It's white coat was speckled with grey: or was it the other way round? and it had four strange very long legs.
A... Foal? What kind of a horse hatched from an egg?!?
Cam recoiled in something between shock, horror and thrill when he saw the little foal had minuscule black WINGS.
