Rosalie and Jade managed to get to Florida in less than an hour. Because it took half an hour to find a kid who has a huge crush on Rosalie that's powers are teleporting. So then Rose & Jade were in Florida, Jade cringing at the sound of lightning, because they were gonna go up into the air, illegally.

Rosalie pushed through bush after bush until she came to a shed. "Come ON, Jade. It's not even hard to walk a mile!" she said. "Easy for you to say, immortal." Jade puffed and came into view. Then her eyes widened, because sitting there was an impressive helicopter, and an unimpressive shed.

This was like something out of my NIGHTMARES.
"This is Janet," he introduced a smiling women to me, who I immediately didn't trust one bit. "She specializes in Optometry."
"Just take a seat, Alex," she showed me into one of those weird seats doctors and dentists and all the rest have. Then she pressed a button and the chair (with me on it) slid into a small.... Room? Box? Something in the middle. It did something weird that affected the light, I'm guessing Xrays of some sort. I tried to keep my breathing even and not freak out. *

And then she knocked. "Who is it?" a harsh voice asked. "Rosalie Hale." Rose sang. And tehn instantly the door flung open and a almost middle-age man stepped out and hugged both Rosalie and Jade.

* You could hear the them muttering and gasping, which sort of calmed me by way of annoying me. I hated every moment of this. Am I going to be blind or not?!? I wanted to scream. Are they even going to let me out?!? Finally the chair swung back into the big room and I took in a deep breath of fresh air.
Then the women started talking half to me half to the doctor in freaky scientific language, with I didn't understand a word of, and just sat there looking dumb.
Then they got to the point.
"Look, Alex," she said, holding a page right in my face. "See there -"
"No, I don't SEE," I interrupted.
She looked taken aback, and had a whispered conversation with the doctor with the bald cap.
"Basically," Baldy said, taking over, "There's been a strange... Transformation in the retina of your eyes... And it doesn't look like... They'll operate in the same way."
"What do you mean by that?" I demanded. "Not in the same way?!?" *

Jade's story~

I WAS FREAKIN' FALLING OUT OF THE SKY DURING A THUNDERSTORM. THIS IS WHAT MY AUNT PREDICTED. NOW I'M BRACING MYSELF TO BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. I thought. I looked over at Rosalie, she was 100% having fun with the Immortal dude free-falling and twisting and everything in the air. While as I was bracing for the lightning and just being still in the air. "LIGHTNING!" Rosalie and Immortal-Guy-Was-Name-Was-Rick chanted. Then I saw the flashes of lightning that hit Rosalie and Rick, not affecting them at all, so I was sure that it wouldn't affect me either. I started laughing, realizing this wasn't my time to get struck by lightning. I laughed really loud, as much as the air allowed me too. Rosalie and Rick occasionally look at me to see if I'm okay. I gave them a thumbs-up, big smile, and kept laughing because I would be okay. Then I saw a BIG one coming! And it was coming for me! I loosened up knowing I wouldn't get hurt, and then it struck. Then I was hurt. Then I started falling even faster. Then I wasn't able to pull the cord for my parachute. Then I realized Auntie was right. Then I blacked out.

Tricia sat on her bed, gingerly holding her arms where nothing could touch them. She was actually waiting for that Alex girl to come out of her tests. She was basically the only one left in the hospital, and maybe Tricia could talk to her a bit. Tricia bit her lip and waited.
