The snake Leon zapped died, curling up like paper thrown into flames and leaving only ash.
December snatched Alex's knife and threw it, hitting a snake between the eyes and it too died.
Jasmine gasped in pain then her eyes narrowed. More snakes fell loose.
She didn't notice Annabell.
Nor did anyone notice that Riley and Angelina were no where to be found.

Leon winced mentally. That was probley the first thing he'd ever purposely killed using his power....
He squeezed Alex's hand.
Then, he continued to increase the electricty in front of him, trying to drive the snakes together were they would be easier to kill....

Annabell tried not to attract any unwanted attention.... She got closer... and closer.... intill she was close enough to kill....
Ugh, the steak knife was not fit for her hand, and was rather dull.
Annabell tried to stab at Jasmine's chest.....

Jade was already tuning out, yet she plugged her ears with her fingers. Jasper wasn't even paying attention. But when everyone else put their fingers in their ears, he did too.

Shocked, Annabell dropped her knife. She snatched it up, and slid under the table, cutting a snake as she slid. She jumped up on the other side, and covered her ears.

* A ghostly song filled the room.
Jasmine realized what too late. She smiled and closed her eyes, then fell backwards with a loud thud, her snakes vanishing.
From the doorway, a little girl with curly brown hair blinked at us, clutching her Teddy bear and singing words I couldn't hear.
She stopped and looked at me with those large childish eyes. Cautiously I unblocked my ears.
"Why did you hurt Jasmine?" She asked in a small, sorrowful voice. *

Des's jaw tightened visibly and he gripped my knife. I knew how wrong this must feel for him, having to fight in such a small box....
"Please Guithe..." I moved forward. "Help us."
Guithe trembled slightly and clutched her Teddy. "That way," she pointed at doors at the end of the dining room and then turned and left. I stepped forward over Jasmine's uncurious form and swung the doors open, revealing a new corridor. *

Shen was unhappy that the snakes weren't poisonous. Perhaps he could have turned their power against them. Either way, more fighting was to come.

Freesia strolled inside the flower garden that the plant users had grown, soaking up the colors and aromas. Along with her healing powers, she was also synthetic, and had x300 more neuron connections than an ordinary human. That meant that her brain could store more information, and that all of her senses were magnified, so the scents of the various blooms seemed to dance around her, filling the air with a symphony of sound and smell.

@everyone XD I just felt like writing that excerpt 😋 It has no meaning except to tell you what Freesia's powers are.

For five miles in every direction all the light had been drained and sucked in one tiny room: at the top of the tower.

Reginald looked worriedly at his shoes, now a dark blur against the bright light. He shivered. He hadn't wanted to be brought here, but the girl wasn't someone you could say no to. "Put the other girl next to her, make them hold hands," he instructed to nothing, which did that, then whispered in his ear, "You better be right about this, scientist..."

Leon let go of the elctrial light. He showed off by making it explode into weak electricty with a smile.
Ugh, but he felt DRAINED. He hardly ever uses his power like he just did during the fight, and it took a toll on him.
