Annabell tried to ignore the lump in her throat.
Was it her fault?
She was the one trying to cheer Leon up, after all..... With Alex now back, it would've been easier for him to mope for another few days.
She turned away, trying not to let the tears fall.
"What was THAT about?" a familar voice asked.
Andy.
"Nothing." Annabell muttered bitterly.
"If you don't want to say anything, you don't have to, but are you okay?" Andy asked Annabell.
"Perfectly fine." Annabell managed a small smile at him.

Blaine heard. "Alex?" He called after her as she ran away. She didn't hear, or ignored him.

* Suddenly I sat up. This wasn't Annabell's fault.
It wasn't mine either.
I remembered what I'd heard (um, somewhere xD). Guards. He'd been shot.
And the school could have easily healed a bullet wound.
First, I'd take down the guards.
Then Chuck would be next.
Hatred shot through my system. This was Chuck's fault. And I HATED him, LOATHED him, DESPISED him. He would be BEGGING for mercy, COWERING at my feet before I was done. And I wouldn't give it to him, oh no. I'd never hated anyone before, not like this. Chuck was DEAD.
I blinked. I didn't know what was wrong with me.
But I'd BLINKED. My blindfold was instantly incinerated, the build up of power scorching trees for ten meters in front of me and turning them to smoke and ash.
My hand shook. I didn't understand. *

For some odd reason, the conversation turned to about knives
As it turned out, Andy was pretty handy with knives, a skill he said he learned from his dad.
"I used to have a knife, but I lost it a long time ago." Annabell told him.
"Really? What did it look like?" Andy asked.
"Thick ivory handle, wonderfully carved, nice blade.... I forget where I got it from." Annabell blinked, trying to remember.
Something flashed across Andy's face. But it was gone in a second, so Annabell couldn't tell what it was.

After it was clear to go inside the building, everyone saw what happened. Gas explosion.
New principal should come in a week. Annabell saw the damage and recongized it imdentily.
She ran over to Alex's dorm and banged on the door..
