Annabell eventually found Elisa, and dragged her into an empty dorm to discuss what she'd done.
"So you still won't back off? Stubborn, aren't you?"' Elisa sighed to Annabell, rolling her eyes.
"You were obiviously covering up something, and what you said to Faith was completely out of line." Annabell hissed angerily.
"I only said the truth." Elisa shrugged, then paused. "In BOTH cases."
"So you did say something to Leon." Annabell said angerily, narrowing her eyes. "Did you cause him to try and run, which cost him his LIFE?!"
"I WARNED him. I didn't push him to run, he's a coward. Excuse me, WAS a coward." Elisa tapped her foot impatiently. Then smirked.
"You were friends with that Venus girl, right?" she said calmly and soothingly, her voice turning honey-sweet.
"You wouldn't have liked to go though THAT again, would have you?"
Annabell stopped glaring, sickened by the sound of Elisa's voice, and confused with her words.

"I mean I can see all emotions....even the ones that are subconious.
Can you imagine..... an anger so great, so fierce, it wouldn't mind killing anything, or anyone?
And inside a weakling that can't even take a life? Such torture for the monster, that it grows even more angery, everyday, intill it takes over the boy." Elisa paused.
Annabell stared. She understood that. Why...... Leon's power was trying to take over?
"Now, this power is smart. It was trying to take over, and it wasn't going to stop intill it did. I HAD to tell him. Or it would have resulted in innocent deaths."
Elisa didn't care about that, but she did like to make herself look good.
"Actually, after I told him that, I wouldn't be suprised if he'd jumped in front of that bullet when they shot it at him." Elisa grinned wickedly at the thought.

What was that noise? Mickey wondered vaguely. RIGHT! He dive-rolled out of the way just in time, as one idiot shot at him, then started running.
KABOOM!!! (Random destructive explosive sound effect)
Bits of rock started falling from the sky.
Lying on the ground, Mickey wondered why EVERY mission always went this way.
His cuts closed up and he looked around.
No one else was left. Again.
The return trips were starting to get dreary.

Annabell backed out of the room.
Away from Elisa and her twisted words.
'How could I'd lost two of my closest friends to their power?!?'
Annabell thought, badly shaken.
'Why!?!? Why isn't there a cure, a safe one! Why do some of the teachers seem to encourage it?
WHY WHY WHY!!??!?'
She wanted to scream out of pure anger, the unfairness of it all.
'Two of the best people I know, dead. Just because the stupid f***ing government, the same one that seems to just USE and ABUSE us, are too f***ing cruel to help.'
Annabell went to the cafetria to calm down and rest, but caught a rumor about Alex and Blaine.
Annabell was shocked.
But didn't blame Alex.
It killed Annabell to find out what really was happening to Leon before he died, and she didn't want to spoil Alex's new 'happiness' by telling her this.

Mickey yawned and went on in.

Alice withdrew her sword. "I'm not."
Gladiator girl there just stood. "I can't stop fighting." Pained.
"W-" Alice was cut off when another warrior stepped down to the plate. And again, Alice was chained to the wall while the girl had to fight.


Gladiator Girl~

I struck up my sword. Drew was not going to let me live.
Feint center. Measure twice, cut once. Drew twisted and sliced his sword at my throat. He missed me. Lunge! Yes! I cut Drew in the side. But it wasn't a kill. Repositioning, strong defense. Our swords met and clashed high in the air. He was stronger than me. He knocked my sword away. I was defenseless. Yet I can't leave my back unprotected to reach my sword.



Alice~

I knew exactly what Gladiator girl needed to win. I shot an icicle and the icicle threw the sword back in her hands.

Gladiator Girl~

My sword! Let's do this. Elbows bent, hip level, feint. Striked air. Slash to the right, sending blood spraying at the sand. But still not a kill. I couldn't win this way. I needed to get his back. By risking mine.

I spun around really quick until I reached Drew's back. He was still recovering from that slash sent towards me. And even though my lower back was heavily bleeding, I had the last move to end this thing. I threw the sword right into his back. Drew fell to his knees. Then collapsed dead.

"9942618, please report to Office 111," the loudspeaker intoned. Mickey sighed, double checking the number tatooed on his arm. Yup. He ruffled his hair. Really? And he hadn't even stepped in yet.

"C'mon Fayner," Mickey complained as he slouched into a chair infront of the desk. "You know I only just got back!"
"Oh really?" The major cracked a smile. "I seem to recall Louie here telling me you'd been staring at the entrance for... How many hours?" He asked his assistant.
Louie cleared his throat. "Four sir," he shot Mickey an apologetic look.
Mickey grinned. "Hey, traumatizing stuff out there."
"And here we have you," Fayner clicked a remote opening a video, "floating on your back in the lagoon for... How many days?" He asked his assistant.
"Uh, six sir."
Mickey laughed. "I really don't know how you get this vids made."
Fayner tapped his desk impatiently. "Anyway, you can't keep coming back alone. Do you know how hard it is to assign you a unit when they all are too scared to go out with you?"
Mickey shrugged.
"Luckily, I found someone who will."
"SomeONE?" Mickey wondered.

Tap, tap. High heeled purple shiny shoes with butterfly wings came down the steps. Oh, no.... Mickey thought, fighting the urge to bury his head in his hands. A GURLY girl.
She was wearing a buttercup yellow very short cut mini skirt and a silky black strappy top, which was SO not part of the uniform. She was also wearing giant blue see-through butterfly wings strapped to her back, god knows why. Her face was plain and ordinary, but with a tender smile, and altogether rather cute, Mickey admitted despite himself. She had sparkly blue nail polish and eye shadow, dark blue mascara applied heavily, and huge silver ring earrings. The only thing that looked remotely dangerous about her was her belt, which was spiked and looked like an instrument of torture. But HER HAIR....

It was BRIGHT BUBBLEGUM PINK.

The enemy would see it a mile off. Mickey groaned. This was the WORST.
"This is 9982331, Morphine."

"Morphine?" Mickey started to laugh. "What, a healer? Do I look like I need one?" Unlike many who came back to base, Mickey didn't have a single scar to show.
"Names can be misleading," Fayner smiled.
"Yes, people would think you're useless from yours, wouldn't they?" Morphine said in such an innocent tone that Mickey frowned, finding it hard to take offense.
"I'm sure you'll find her useful," Fayner said, and Morphine blinked, spacing out completely.
"What are we going to do?"
Fayner pulled out a map and started to explain the mission, not noticing Morphine was on Planet Zug.

* I blinked. Though we would never admit it, this helps takes our minds off the fact that we could die any second.
IoD. This place was horrid.
Believe it or not, we actually got the long end of the stick.
A scouting group. This means we're not put into as much fighting as regular soldiers, but we're pretty much scr**ed if we run into a big party of our enemies.
Mac, short cut black hair,18, his power was heightened senses, (But he wasn't that bad with a bow and arrow either),
Katherine, who was 17 and a fire user, with long blonde hair and somewhat of an attitude, was second in command.
Eddy,15, he was speedy, and good at reading maps, had the same messy blonde hair as Katherine did. He also kept us in good moods, and me from going into a fit of depression.
And lastly, me. What can I say? I'm rather useless, but good at attacking from a distance.
Everyone calls me Sunny, mostly as a joke, and the fact I won't spill anything about my real name, or past life. And because of my hair too, I guess.
I listened to Katherine and Eddy fight quietly, smiling softly.
Then Mac paused. "Can you hear that?" he whispered quietly. We all went quiet.
Of course WE couldn't, as we couldn't hear anything with our regular senses. Mac, on the other hand, could probley hear a fly break wind. *

"But wait, what heavily guarded extremely valuable and fragile object are we meant to be snatching?" Mickey inquired as the Major kicked them from his office and shut the door.
Mickey tried to smash it down but after the first three times he'd replaced it with metal.
"What's your power again?" He turned to Morphine. Maybe she'd be useful.
She smiled vaguely and skipped off.
