Stormyfang felt a tiny pang of jealousy wash over her. I wish I had a mate...She pushed her thoughts aside and scolded herself.

(Back in MistClan, things are a little more peaceful)
It's about midmorning, the day after the dog attack.

Willowstar stretches and nods towards the elders, who shuffle in to bury the body. She pads up to the warriors' den. "Rosesong," she prompts the warrior softly. "Hunting and patrols?"

Skyfang, one of the youngest warriors, snickered. "Yeah, Rosesong," he echoed. "Come and do your duties now."

Willowstar silenced him with a glare.

"Skyfang, and Foxheart will lead a hunting patrol, and Sorrelheart will lead a border patrol", Rosesong said, and quickly added, "Skyfang, you should watch your tongue"
