Bring Eggcave Back!

Lately Eggcave has been really... unlike itself. People are being rude about giveaways and trading (Like Deannablanco3's Macbot) and not caring about anything but rarity. Eggcave used to be a site where EVERYONE was nice to each other and cared about things other than creature rarity. So let's bring the nice and really fun Eggcave back! Comments on this? 😊

@rawrcookies08 I noticed this too. Everythin is about hoarding rare creatures now, but that really isn't what eggcave should be about.

Yeah. I'm trying to downsize to less creatures (some completely common) and really, they ARE just pixels.

Rarity, bleh. Same here. It's been bothering me forever. I don't like when people gang up on newbies when they have a rare egg and trade it for a ripoff deal. My favorite creature is the ignis and Colatay

Seriously, I'm a newbie and I've noticed that. Of course some of the higher rarities look better, but so do a bunch of the commons. Like a macaw or a tasma. Why would someone even want a Aerlo. It's fine if you like it, but it's just a little plain for me.

I noticed that too. I don't like it. I've also noticed small clubs. I'm totally fine with that, but some of them are exclusive and only care about the rarity of the creatures. I rather have a cove of commons like tasmas, seys, and macaws. Now I admit that some of the rarer creatures are very nice but I don't kill for them.

@rawrcookies08 - I know, I can't believe people attacked Ian when he re-released the 2009 X-Mas Eggs, and then they attacked a newbie over getting Deanna's Macbot. :/ I think some people just don't realize how they sound, or they don't realize how selfish they're being. Like I said on another thread, I chalk a lot of that up to most users being kids, and sometimes kids just don't know any better until they learn differently.

All in all, I still see plenty of good people on Egg Cave. We should all focus on that aspect, I think. I like it when people have contests and such - that sort of thing helps make it more fun, I think. 😊

I've noticed this. :/ One time I traded 5 hatched commons for a Shaibun, now I couldn't get one for my life -_- I don't like my creatures for rarity, I like them because I like them. Because they appeal to me. All of the oldies are leaving, taking all their oldie-happiness-and-wisdomness with them. ); I miss the old Eggcave..

Eggcave isn't the same thing it was when I joined. All people knew each other, helped each other, cared for the other people... Now, just oldies do that, If you see, it's rare the newbie that cares for the others, now, the only important thing is creatures, even stealing and loosing the confidence in the others is valuable for them. One of my most favorite creatures is my Mo and my baby tasma... They are common creatures! But, if you see, like.... umm forgot the name XP just joined and got an Onny egg stolen the same day he joined! How can this happen??? Now, a lot of cheaters just do this to get some pixels!!!

I just joined this site yesterday. It is very discouraging to hear all this.

@saving-eggs what do you mean cheaters? Did they actually cheat or are you just calling them that? could you clarify what actually happened, im new and didnt understand. Are you saying a newbie happened to steal a rare egg at the cave? to me that was just good luck, and you should be happy for them, thats not cheating, its what makes the game fun. if something else happened please explain. i really just didnt get what you said at all.

ps: It is truly a shame to hear of supposedly 'bad newbies' and that there are so many of them, because as a result, by default even those of us newbies who do care, will be looked down upon and be seen as untrustworthy, and THAT really is a shame.
But C'est la vie, i will continue to play and earn trust where I can.

I would love to see the old EggCave back. It's for this precise reason that I've been staying off the forums and blog lately. I used to be so active when I first joined, and I received so many helping hands from amazing people; many of which have recently quit. I miss the old EggCave as well, but it is what it is, and it's just something we have to accept. At least we have the wonderful times in our memories~

I don't know... I believe that creatures should go for what you want them to go for... (As long as it's not unreasonable)
I traded a Barlog for a hatched, 2nd stage frozen Tasma, after they were retired...... What YOU want for your creature.

Either way, I don't really care. 😋
It's not MY problem everyone else is being "Greedy",or "selfish" so why should I complain?
There's nothing you can do to control another person, NOT ONE THING. So don't bother with unreasonable people, ignore them. 😊
At least that's what I do. 😱

I agree.
When I first joined, I was ambushed with friendliness. It stayed that way for a long time. Now I feel like quitting everyday. Some users( no one in particular) let greed take.over sometimes, and don't care about others feelings.

A lot of newbies don't stay long. That's because they're not properly welcomed, or they don't know the basics not explained in the getting started page. Old Eggcave you had to explore a bit. The blog was the jackpot- EVERYBODY chatted on the blog, no matter what. To find out trade deals, contests, feed.ng sprees, and regular chit-chat. Creatures- you could get an olimpt for just one freeze, a foo for like one cc. ☹️

Mmm i agree...I mean honestly, i collect my creatures for the fun of it, not how rare they are...i mean really, like how they were totally rude to that 9 year old yesterday over a macbot....D: I dont get what the fuss is about super rare creatures...i mean honestly, my whoon and my baby krah i wouldnt trade for a million tines or whatever. lol! 😋 Sometimes, its just for the sentimental value of things....

and i still remember the old egg cave...around 2 years ago? lol!!

I joined in September, I found it amusing and fun. My first created roleplay ever lived to 40 pages in two months. It was the biggest TRUE accomplishment I got. Though some RPers seem to try to make themselves the strongest, and the best in the RP, it was fun. We enjoyed socializing. But now, it's all about, 'BLAHBLAHBLAH UFT NO NOOBS'. What happened to the Eggcave that I loved for it's original creature beauty? If this greediness keeps up, it would be a miracle if the world would survive without crisis to 2030.

A user (deannablanco3) that was/is a great user here on egg cave passed away yesterday, and she (before she died im guessing...) told her sister to bomb gift a random person...well her sister did as she asked, Made a forum, and whoever posted onto that forum would get entered in the "raffle?" of winning that macbot. Well she pulled out a name out of a hat/bag? and well...That name belonged to a 9 year old newbie who posted on the forum that the sister made, giving her...condolences? to that person...So she got entered, and won the macbot...SO since that 9 year old newbie got it, some people got...well mad, and (well one person im not mentioning any names) kinda...swore at her, and...well people were being a bit mean JUST because she won a super rare creature and she just started...Also because she didnt even know the person who passed away, and some people wanted it for "sentimental Value"... But yeah...

Im guessing everything...settled down? now, and...yeah. 😋


and im not intentionally blaming anyone/putting anyones name up there, im just..uh...telling the story?

I personally don't care about rarity. I know most of mine are rare (actually all) but i just keep them because all are either caught and just happen to make me feel better (i guess thats the word) or they were gifts from friends and friends who quit. People need to just let it go and go on with their lives..its just pixels on a computer screen.

I heard about that. Two things are insanely wrong about that.
one: people seemed to care more about the Macbot than Deanna...☹️☹️☹️

Two:
People sent hate mail with "curse words" to a 9-year old because they didn't get what they wanted. Do.I have to say anything more?
