To EggCave. It's...lagging. The newest trades are hardly changing. Forums not as busy. Blogs are even worse. Feels like EggCave is going to the dumps even though there are tons of CS creatures to buy and make Ian have money. I heard this from someone special. That is quitting. She told me a few days ago but I didnt understand until now.

I've been wondering the same.Egg Cave is dying out, as much as I don't want to believe it, it's clear from what I'm seeing, is true.The Livepulse isn't flooding with posts as much as it has in a while now. The blogs have been going slow as well, and the trades just seem...dead.:/

Yup.I feel stupid staying on here,checking everything ever five minutes to see if something changes.It never does.Hashgroups! Ha. That won't help soothe the decline in activity.Look, people are just going to tell us to leave if we complain. Fair enough. But if this goes on eggcave will close due to inactivity. I knew it was an investment from the start.If you are going to run a site for any money you can't just make everything convenience for you. Well you can, but then users will become fed up with it and finally speak out then leave.

............Why are you guys so negative? D: And when I'm trying to be at least a bit positive, everyone starts complaining ;-;Have a bit of faith. This isn't the first time. And if you say something should change and that something is dying, maybe it's us. We're all just going around complaining day in and day out.If it's not about the CS creatures, it's about the rarity of creatures, or drama, or quitting users... Basically if it's not about one thing, it'll be about another.Maybe we should all get together and create something that all of Egg Cave can do & revive instead of just complaining and telling Ian to do it for us.><"

@icymuffinTried that approach.It feels fake.I rather be realistic about it.And yes, eggcavern is nice. It actually updates. Users made that. Same with Smilies plot for Christmas. That died.We have tried, but all we can do is send in ideas hoping something happens because we can't do it by ourselves. We need some help from Ian, but he seems unwilling.Even the thief shop. Meteoroid did that in like 3 days, I think less. It is an interactive on eggcavern. Ian could have implemented that. But it never happened.I am open to ANYTHING at this point. But if this droll routine every day continues, I will leave so no one has to hear me complain.

This is sadly True. Every day Eggcave dies a little. But we can only blame Eggcave partially, because It is Also us who is making Eggcave die. When Eggcave first came out, Ian's blog posts were frequent, fun, and interesting. Now its declined a lot. âšī¸. I Dont want to believe it either, but every single fact is right infront of our eyes, were just trying to ignore it. Even though eggcave IS Dying, I think it can be changed. All we need is a couple of suprises like a blog contest, or something similar to mylights or the mystery of ghosty.

@goku We have tried.We made contests, user plots.It just doesn't work.We can't just make things happen like Ian can.We can't hijack his website xD

To be quite honest. I think us Egg Cave users have become spoiled, not trying to put it in a bad way but Ian is doing all he can to make everyone happy, but all we do is complain and ask for more. Ian's trying his best to keep Egg Cave alive.

This is terrible.... I mean, I can't tell if this is true or not. I do the same things, watching everything, but it doesn't trade. Now, I just want to complete my dream cove with immortals, and then... then I don't know what will keep me here. Come on, we can't expect @Ian to do everything though! We have to try too! More and more users quit every day, and it's a bad thing. We have to stop Egg Cave dying.

@icymuffins right Its not a fun game if all you do is complain... if you want it to be fun you have to make it fun... for a starters we should put on a positive attitude... and another thing... @ian has a life himself... this is his job sort of... he needs money just as we do.. He has to pay for collage and has to make time for- Friends and family, collage which is very hard and you need a lot of time for that, and also he needs to run eggcave... there's a lot of pressure on his shoulders... i don't think this is a scam for money... he's just trying to make a living just like us all and he cant please everybody and its hard for him to help us if we aren't grateful for what we do have...

@skyI have to agree.And heck, we don't even know what it's like to run a site this large and keep everyone happy. One group will like but another won't. It has to keep in balance.And not everything Ian can make happen magically. I don't believe Ian has a button he can press that suddenly makes everyone pleased with Egg Cave.I mean that most of user plots were on a small scale, not enough to include everyone into it.I'm not sure if this is still now, but I do think I read once that all the money gathered from CC goes directly to the site, not Ian

I really dont think we are looking at this situation from all the perspectives. There's three- Ian's, Ours, And Improvement. We've talked about us, us, us, us, us! What about Ian? He needs a break too! đ. And Improvement: We are looking at this situation in a negative way. Stay positive! The key to success is staying Positive even in the most difficult of Situations! This could be a Time for IMPROVEMENT, Not just complaining.

@sky i totally agree with you.I was never really around to experience the "old" egg cave. ;_;But let's try to be positive! Think. What can we do to help?Just trying to be on the brighter side like some others.

There are two reasons the site is suffering:1.) The insatiable desires of users who believe that they should be spoilt and given new creatures/features constantly to keep their attention, and2.) The lack of interaction between EggCave mods/admins and the users on the site. How often do we see interaction between our moderators and the actual forums and the site? I rarely see them around. People on the site aren't satisfied with what they have; fair enough. Younger people tend to be like that. But it IS partly the site creator's fault, because he isn't interacting with users nearly as much as he used to.

PEOPLE. remember the summer of 2010, when literaly 5 people were online? no updates? and eggcave lived through that.

We should all appreciate what we have. We have gotten kind of greedy... He has a life too, he can't be on constantly trying to satisfy each and every one of us. Give the guy a break :/

We cant Give up NOW. LOOK AT IT. When Eggcave FIRST came out, It LITTERALLY Had only 5 creatures, NO STATUS, NO TRADE Center, NO FORUMS, and we are complaining! IMAGINE THAT BEING EGGCAVE, NOW!!! 0.0

@gokuI think it was more like 15-ish eggs.But that's not the point.We were more of a community in the beginning. Egg Cave lost that. I think that's a problem we should fix.

Spoiled, or high expectations?I could careless about a new creature.I just wish stuff would happen on here. Like they did not even... about 6 months ago.I thankful for this site but it really isn't that fun anymore.Whatever, tell me to quit. I don't care. I could any moment, but right now I want to be with friends on here.I feel like that is the only attractive quality of this site at the moment for me.

@icymuffinEggcave used to be a very peacful, civilized community. Until rare creatures came out. EVERYONE Couldnt get one, which caused distress. Anger arose in accounts, eventually leading to------QUITTING. As more and more eggs came out, people started becoming more obsessed with rare eggs, thus the community was lost. People became less grateful for what they had, and just wanted anything they didn't. In all this commotion, people forgot what eggcave was REALLY about. HAVING FUN, And building UP To a better cove. When I Started off, I Got ripped off my alien egg for a Ragon and a Gideh. I thought Id NEVER build myself back up. LOOK at my cove NOW. Its still not Really GOOD, but Im grateful for what I HAVE đ. And I KNOW someday I Will get my dreamcove!!
