This site IS still free. You aren't forced to buy cave cash in order to play. That was said WAY before we had the cash shop. After it was implemented it was found that an ec to cc converter would be impractical. An ec to cc converter would cut too much into the money made by the cash shop, money that goes toward keeping this site running.

I don't mean to go nagging about it or anything, I was just going around being slightly off my rocker as usual and came across it. I'd just been to some earlier blogposts which had had all their comments deleted, so I was like: "OMG!!! 8D EPIC!!! It's still there! 8D" and made a screenshot of it 😃

I remember being soooo pissed when there was no convertor, now I'm probably one of the biggest spenders on here XD

I remember when I saw this. I was so frustrated that I almost quit. I tried to show that post to players about 3 times when Cash Shop was released - although some few help from them, all what I got was being smashed from players that have dollars to spend.

EggCave is free to play? Yes, but when Ian said about "it always be free" it was **about money**. Just read all posts that talk about it then the liar Ian's post, then the posts from players after that.

I was expecting so much the EC~CC convertor.
Impractical? I don't believe. Very easy to say when people are able to spend here.
Now, cutting money to the site?
ha .. ha.
Why there exists ADS? And why so many adoptables sites doesn't need money to run...

Look what a funny thing. I opened a ticket asking about the post, and I got this answer: "we never said that EC could be converted into CaveCash. We said that CAVECASH might someday be convertible into EC".

Until today I'm revolted about Cash Shop.
Specially because a lot of players including me can't buy a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g because of the currency in different countries (so that all of my CCs were traded). I asked Ian in June 2010 about currency and I think he lied again after telling me about "launching an international initiative here soon".

I'm waiting while every month creatures are removed "forever".
