Team Stanima+Pix started off to the north, they figured the human had gone that way since a town is in that direction. Plus the vulpix pack went that way.

Treela was still on the floor, crying a bit more. "Why....you....cry?" said an eery voice. "Who is it?" Treela said. The voice came from her head. Then she saw a male Sceptile in front of her, "No! It's just an illusion!" she said, covering her watery eyes.

@chapus2009 Meilin was skipping in the direction of town. She was smiling, and pretty much had $s in her eyes.

The illusion Treela was seeing had now disappeared.


A Sceptile with a golden scarf around his neck was walking in the town where Meilin was going.


Name: Striga
Species: Sceptile
Gender: male
Appearence: Tall, rather big for a Sceptile. Wears a scarf ribbon around his neck.
Attitude: Nice and kind. Funny and out-going.
Other: Helps his owner with his restaurant. He sometimes goes to nearby forests to collect berries and have fun. Striga was rescued at an unknow age by his owner, Mason. His owner learned him how to speak human.

Meilin had reached the town. She was selling the loot.

@chapus2009 mason sounds interesting. Do we get to meet him?

And if mason can communicate with him, why can't Meilin with espeo?

Striga saw as a human when in the Pokemon Shop. He when in, when a villager said, "Oh! Hello Striga, how the restaurant doing?" said the old man, "Very good." The Sceptile replied. Unlike other Pokemon, his owner took the time to teach him how to talk. It took around 3 months of 24 hours per day (well, almost) of hard learning.

Meilin walks out of the shop, a few 1000 gold richer. She looks up to see striga. He looks interesting.
Espeo thinks so too. He walks up to him. "Hi! I'm espeo! What's you're name?" he said.

@chapus2009 suggestion: striga cannot speak english fluently since his vocal cords were not made to do so...

The team made it to town and jumped in front of the human and espeon
"STOP RIGHT THERE YOU THIEF!"
Screeched Luxray, ready for battle.

"Eh?" remarked Meilin, who looks up to see that annoying group of Pokemon again. She flicks her hair. "espeo?" she says. Espeo turns to striga "be right back!" he smiles but then his face changes to a powerful, intimidating face. He strides up to the Pokemon. Meilin's team walk up to the Pokemon, surrounding them, growling menacingly.

"You took what was ours!"
Luxray growled at the poke'mon. He didn't show it, but the amount of poke'mon was a bit intimidating.
"Yeah, Give it back!"
Riolu agreed, she would use Final Gambit (her father taught her) if she had to!

Striga saw as Pokemon were surronding other Pokemon, "What is happening there?" he said, going to the battle. He was now behing Meilin, "Um, what is happening?" Striga said to the human, in a crackling voice, as if he had hard time talking.

"oh my, we seem to have a bit of a misunderstanding here... Meilin, our owner, the pretty girl over there, has already sold it. We can give you some compensation...?" he said. Meilin's team all were in menacing, intimidating stances. Meilin looked kindly at striga, "smart Pokemon." She smiled "well, I persuaded a fire stone from a Pokemon. It seems it was theirs. They sort of want it back, I guess.

Pix noticed the talking sceptile, she had no idea what he was saying but the human seemed to understand

The air was tense in the small town.

That's just great! Riolu spent DAYS in the abandoned mine looking for it (as she was the only one small enough to do so)
And now a human girl gave it away for those useless shiny yellow things humans seem to love!
Then the sceptile gave him one, which surprised him.
"huh-? T-thanks."

Espeo read Riolus mind. " Ah. Useless shiny yellow things are called money. Humans can trade them in for things like healing potions and new moves." he explained

"Ah, your welcome. If you want to see my owner, I work at the restaurant." Striga said (in Pokemon).

He then smelled the air, "Hum, you guys smell like the forest. I like that odour, brings back GOOD memories..."

Pix remembered smelling a grass-type egg back in the forest...but she thought it was---was she(treela) the mother and this one the father? She explained her thoughts to riolu.

Espeo overheard their conversation. "exactly!!" he turned to striga. " we know this Sceptile, she's female, she had an egg, you would be exactly right for her... Could it be? But she said you were killed..." Meilin was hungry. "espeo keep charge ok?" she said and strolled into the cafe.

The team was quite interested in the conversation now, although Riolu yawned. Luxray shocked her awake.

Espeo looked suspicious "but why..... " he fixed his eyes on striga "do you not love your wife??!!??" he said angrily.

Meilin sat down at a table. The waiters ignored her. She grabbed one by the cuff. "IM HUNGRY!GIVE ME FOOD PLEASE!!" Meilin got grouchy when she was hungry.
