Charlie raised an eyebrow, 'That's for sure!' He continued walking until he could barley see his feet. 'Can you help with the light?' Charlie asked, hoping she conjure an electric orb. 'My powers have been pretty much useless so far,' he sighed.

Pixle nodded, snapping as a soft spark illuminated the air, the gem quickly stole the energy and started to glow, Pixle shrugged 'guess that works?' se asked, looking over at Charlie

Charlie smiled, 'Make-shift lantern!' Charlie continued towards the phantom dot on the horizon. It appeared to be a few miles away. Sand blew around thier ankles, the wind piced up, throwing small pebbles.

Pixle sighed as she followed after him, her eyes began to droop, the light was the only thing keeping her awake, staying awake for a few weeks at a time was getting to her now.

'Pixle, I think we should call it a night,' Charlie suggested, as his eyes felt heavy. Sitting down in the sand, Charlie created a 'sand pillow'. Laying his head on it, he closed his eyes.

Pixle sighed as they stopped, she yawned and curled up in the sand, listening as the wind whistled around them, she held the stone tight and watched the stars as she tried to finally fall asleep

Charlie awoke to a tingling sensation all across his body. The dawn's first light poked its head above the horizon, creating just enough light to see what was going on. Hundreds of small scorpian like creatures, were carwling across his body. Jumping up, the insects burried into his skin. Thier stinging tails stabbed at his flesh. Shaking, a few fell of and scurried to Pixle...

Pixle was trapped in her own mind as she slept, the dream of derse was vivid and unusual, she almost didn't want to wake up, a sharp jabbing racked her body as she shotup and slapped the ground next to her, Pixle's eyes were still glazed white from the odd dream, she couldn't see for the few seconds that she spoke 'Charlie knock it off!' she quipped, rubbning her eyes, her sight came to as she stared face to face with a small scorpion that sat on her hand, flinging it off and curlign up, a soft rumble filled the air as the sand rippled, one massive outspreading circle and the scorpions flipped over, stunned. 'what the what' she mumbled, getting to her feet and picking up the stone

Charlie flailed his arms, hoping to knock some of the scorpians off, but thier stingers were deeply imbedded in his skin. 'I guess this is what the letter meant about 'Sting'. Charlie breathed, coming to the realization. Encompasing his body in water, he was able to loosen the stingers. Sevral scorpians crumpled to the ground, they had drowned. 'You okay Pixle?' he asked turning to her, she was in the same situation.

Charlie nodded in agreement, 'Lets get outta here,' he began to walk towards the blip. Every step the city came into focus more clearly. They had been walking for what seemed like eternity. Suddenly, Charlie could hear cheers, 'We must be getting close,' Sand blew around thier ankles, and Brenden's hoverboard landed.
'So you made it through Phase 2?' he said, swiping the gem. Holding it up to the light, he examined it.

Pixle stepped back as he snatched the polished gem. 'twit' she muttered under her breath as she stood next to Charlie, her eyes glinted as she listened to the cheering and watched the light filter through the stone

A young boy ran up to Pixle, 'Cawn I hawve your awtograph pwease?' he asked, lisping a bit. He held out a pad of paper. Suddenly, a black haired woman grabbed the boy's shirt collar. 'What have I told you?!!?' she bellowed, 'They are the ENEMY!' she dragged him back into the crowd.

@swimforlife yup, twice a day every day until sunday or so =P and my mom says that because learning computer is basically like learning a new language, I had to cut down to computer tech and flash game design, =D how was your day??

Pixle smiled, kneeling in front of him as he came up to her 'how abo..' she stopped as the mother jerked him away 'well how about this' she mumbled to herself, soft sparks raced through the sand and shocked the woman, Pixle giggled and looked over at Charlie, shrugging innocently, and looking back over at Brenden.

Charlie smiled, looking at the woman whose hair stood on end. The boy waved a Pixle and continued walking with his mother.
Brenden sneered, 'Phase 3 starts in two days. I advise you to prepare yourselves.' He handed them each an evelope.

Pixle shrugged slightly as she took her envelope, she shrugged again and held her hands behind her back, grinning a bit as the boy turned back to wave, she sighed and looked back at Charlie 'two days seems a bit...er...extensive...' she mumbled

@inkstep it was kind of a shocker, my bio teacher is really tough... it was fun but I don;t think we'll do it agian (lotst of colorful smears 😊 )
I kind flubbed a few lines, but I think I did okay

Charlie's eyes darkened, 'This is getting serious. Two days is more than enough time. I wonder what's next?' Charlie began to walk towards the 'Compound'. As he approached, the alien dog, ran up to him and licked his face. 'Good to see you buddy!' he said, scractching the dog's head. The dog ran up to Pixle and yipped. Wagging its tail, it sat in front of her.

Pixle smiled as she followed, watching the dog as it greeted Charlie, backing up a bit as it stopped and sat in front of her, she sat on her knees and scratched it's head a bit 'at least we can sit back a bit for the next few days' she mutttered

Charlie smiled, 'I was hoping you would say that!' Fingering the envelope, Charlie gingerly pulled out a peice of thin glass. It was the thickness of paper, but strong as steel. He raised an eyebrow at Pixle, 'What the...?' his voice trailed off.

I don;t know hopefully I'll find my grade tonight...

Charlie sat on his bed, the sheets were stilll scratchy. Laying his head on the pillow, he closed his eyes. The dog hopped on to the bed an curled at his feet. 'Kruff!' it said again. Charlie looked over at Pixle, 'What does glass have to do with anything?' he asked.

'well glass is often used for illusions, or could be used as a walkway, or something unknown to us' she muttered, turning her envelope over in her hands. 'lets just hope I dont have to save you again....' she mumbled, looking back over at him 'but lets just hope we dont get seporated...or killed' Pixle yawned and sighed, leaning back against her head board, yawning again. 'so what was your life like?' she asked, looking back over at him 'I told you about mine, what was yours like?' she asked as she continued to turn the envelope over

'Interesting,' Charlie replied. He began to explain his life, 'Well for as long as I can remember I live with my family, Primrose included. We were a mostly normal family. My dad worked for 'international affairs', so he travels alot. I did't realize it was because he traveled to other planets. I have swam for as long as I can remeber. I think my parents knew about my powers, but didn't tell me.'

Pixle smirked and shrugged 'it's fine, I guess, no one really knew anything about them..so I dont mind it much, I just convince myself I was composed of the electricity' she said, if there was any hurt in her voice, it was subconscious. Pixle sighed and looked over at the dog 'The only thing we need to have out minds set on is phase 3...' she mumbled, tracing the edges of her envelope with her ring finger

Charlie nodded, 'I wonder if we'll ever see Earth again. I don't really miss it, but we're not exactly on friendly terms with the Klaxions.' he sighed. Rolling on to his side, he stared at the wall. 'How did you find out about your electromagnetic properties?' he asked, turing to face her.
